Developed and raced by Villiers chief engineer Peter Inchley This prototype AJS 250 won the British championship and finished 3rd in the 1966 Isle of Man TT behind the all Conquering factory Honda 6 cylinders.
This bike is the 1967 AJS Starmaker. The frame was designed and built by Ken Sprayson. The engine was developed by my late father, Peter Inchley. The 1966 bike that finished 3rd on the Island was a TS 125 framed special, called the "Villiers Special", fitted with the Villiers Starmaker engine.
