A five year old having a sense of music that isn't nursery rhymes is absolutely incredible. I'm so happy for him! He'll grow up loving piano and he will gain extreme talent!
I am exactly like him. I don't have any tutors or apps to teach me. Because of that still today I don't know how to play with sheet music or by tutorial videos. When I want to learn a new song all I do is, use my voice to match the key for the song I want to play. look at me now, people call me to play piano for festivals. ❤️😌🥰 Thank God.
@@Lukaostojic123 yeah Mozart was such a prodigy, people really don't understand how good Mozart was people just compare him to other pianists like he's just some pianist, can't believe people with no understand of piano just compare some kids to Mozart. Mozart's rythm and flow was ineffable.
Part of being a kid is finding passions and pursuing them. Didn't you hear the narrative? No training. Doesn't read music. Teaches himself. Plays just for fun, not even to learn specific songs. You must have not listened to any of this to think he might be being forced.
@@user-yv6vx the parents got him an electric piano with note names and their representations on the staff in bright colors and started him at 2 years old. I seriously doubt he "doesn't read music" and has never nor will ever be pressured to do it. Also he is 100% playing a simplified variation of the interstellar theme.
As a musician, I use to do this too. I hope he learns music theory in the future. It can really help put what a good ear hears into words. learning music theory when you have an ear like that is like learning how to speak for the first time while knowing what everyone else has been saying and could only make up words that kinda sound like words.
I compose, I had to teach myself theory and it helps so much. Theory is so helpful to learn it makes the process go by way faster and you have more to work with. Why not copy the homework of other great musicians? I really like your analogy, beautifully put.
I got an piano when i was 6, it has been 10 years since im playing the piano,i learned alone,no one knew how to help me,we haven't money for lessons, it so good for me to know that im 16 today and didn't stop playing!
Maybe the dad taught him the most important first two lessons to get the boy off to a good start. Imagine if the dad didn't introduce the boy to the piano...

@@rayan_sahad I have a piano teacher named Mrs . Mary Fay who teaches me piano . I taught myself how to better my singing , because it comes naturally to me , but I had to learn how to be better at piano. If I sing when I play the piano, I will get distracted. I have to either not sing when I’m playing the piano or not play the piano when I’m singing ! I cannot do two things at once or I get overwhelmed and stressed out if I even try . It’s mentally impossible for me .
That’s really not true. You could hit a tritone and have a very discordant chord, and if you don’t resolve it- it often just sounds bad…. Plus as what another commenter said, doing a minor second doesn’t sound great either on its own.
as a pianist, i can relate. i’ve been playing since 7 years old and would always play music made up by me on the spot. this kid just confirms that it is in fact possible for anyone.❤
It is but most people have to practice a long time before they can achieve this skill. He and you most certainly have perfect pitch. If you don't have it, it takes years to develop a similar version.
They better treat him right and not see him as a walking paycheck. That kid is gonna be a star if he continues. And hopefully his parents aren't greedy like most talented kid's parents.
Dont be surprised. Young kids are very good at learning new skills, especially musical instruments. This kid, in a few more years, is going to be amazing
And risk destroying the child’s innocent enjoyment for the instrument. Maybe wait a few years before you throw the kid in the struggles of academia musica

Pretty relatable. I made my own piano piece called "Canté" when I was 5, without lessons. I listen by ear and I played blindfolded in stage before. I'm currently 10 and I play stuff like Maple Leaf Rag, The Entertainer, Mozart, Vivaldi, Bach, and Boccherini. Kind of a brag, but I'm just stating the fact.
Wow! Yes, personally, I often find people who don't even read music but play amazingly well - whether it be on a piano, guitar, etc., are most impressive.
I don’t read music and yet I can play nearly all the great guitar masterpieces from romantic period 👍 Tarrega, Barrios, sor, regondi. In fact I’d say I have a large memorised repertoire largely because I haven’t the stress or time taken to read notation and I just play and play by ear and I’d say I’ve got a good ability to do so. So many comments saying get this child in lessons and yes perhaps so he’ll pick up composition skills and music creativity in phrasing and techniques but at the same time can’t you just imagine the child loosing interest and enjoyment whilst having a strict guideline of learning and study to adhere to. Most stressful time of my life was education growing up and now I’m done with that now I relax and got into music for myself and through enjoyment 👍 I realise a few year back I’d probably not even entertain what I do now like playing guitar….. so things change based on your enjoyment of it and other commitments in ones life

Pls let him take lessons! He's a natural! And the love for music will grow in him and he'll provide joy not just to family, but many other people. Can't wait to hear him play rachmaninov, chopin and beethoven one day❤

My Mom played the piano by ear. Never had a music lesson in her life. If she heard a song several times she could play it. Her favorite was Elmer’s Tune
You don't need to but it doesn't hurt. I started by ear for over 20 years on guitar. Started studying classical piano and learning to read about 2 years ago it's bringing all the missing pieces and helping me understand and references. 100% reading music has made me excel and I have the strengths of ear and memory because I first learned those. There is nothing special about not knowing how to read music.
@@arthurscumbagmorgan2339 Many musicians start as children without knowing how to read music, my dad was one of them and now is a guitar master, and until today, he doesn’t read sheet music. And he’s not an illiterate. If you have musical intelligence you can learn to play and be just as successful.

I mean… you can have fun spending 40 minutes trying to transpose a song into a new key, but I would much rather read the music and be able to play it off the top in under 5 minutes.
It’s not natural talent …. “ hasn’t had any training on the piano ….. except lesson from his and hundreds of hours playing by himself …. 😂 So no training 👌
He's got some savant-style talent. I learned piano without ever getting lessons or even having a piano or keyboard because my parents forbid it, so I had to sneak it in whenever I found a place that had one. I actually learned to read the sheet music first since that's all I had at home. I can't wait to see where this kid will be in a year or two.
That's so incredible! My dad is like that too. He can pick up any instrument and just play it beautifully w/out even reading music. I'm so jealous, lol. Its a lovely gift they have! 🎶💕

That's how I am on guitar. I started playing when I was 15 and cannot read music. I just started playing and what I thought sounded good, I played. I respect this kid with his natural talent. Way to go buddy, keep it up.
If he keeps this up he could be a good music composer one day The only thing is that I would expect that he does try some sheet music once in a while (I’m my opinion)
As a person who improved from five piano lessons to teaching myself play things like Lord of the rings themes without reading any notes, I can am happy for this boy for having talent which is truly extraordinary to become a big musician one day. ❤️
