Reverse: 1999 is a 20th Century Time-Travel Strategic RPG developed by Bluepoch. On the last day of 1999, the "Storm" fell upon the world. You witnessed an era reversed beneath the rising raindrops. Defying all reasons, what unfolds in front of you is the world of an era long past.

The story is great and It is also fast pace. It is just things happening right after the other. There isn't any fluff in my opinion. As for the gameplay, I say it is at HSR level of complexity now. But I can it getting more complex as the game go on. I heard there is a suicide team.

I have pretty much cleared the entire story for this version. The story is absolutely amazing. I would go so far as to say it might be one of the best written stories out of all the gacha games. As for the gameplay, it is very easy to understand at first but gets a bit more complex later on. The grinding isn't too bad. My account is f2p and I already have two teams to take on the endgame content.

I really like this game! I actually pre-registered for it and have had no regrets. The story isn't bad so far and although the gameplay may not appeal to everyone, I think its decent. The characters aren't hard to pull for or level up, although ascending past level 30 requires materials different from the regular leveling currency. You're also able to see a ranked list of the team lineups others have used to beat levels in case you happen to have troubles, which I absolutely did once. Overall, its a pretty good game but if you try it and aren't interested you lose nothing! I recommend giving it a go!

From what I see the gameplay is kind of FGO style? I have too much thing to do to add another gacha game to my list but the the thick british accent tempt me to at least try the game😂

I just downloaded a few days ago.. The story is nice but I don't really like the gameplay that much and I'm struggling to understand what to put in each of the character and it took a lot of in game currency to level up character, if you to ascend ur lvl20 character you have to level em up from 1 again.. Like ur character already lvl 20 you want ascend so ur character can level up to 30 instead 20-30 you have to level em up again from 1.. So 1-20, then 1-30, then 1-40 so on so on.. I prefer Genshin level up,. But I will give this game a few days then decide if I want to still playing or not

The interesting thing to note about the level up system is that you keep your stats when you level up insight ( or ascending. ) So basically 1-30 is normal but then 1-40 is actually 31-70. It’s a really odd system but I must admit I kind of like it. 😂

It's kinda like Arknights. Amazing art for characters, dialogue and cutscenes, really good promo material, but the appearance of the battles themselves just don't vibe with me. I really wish they kept the serious style for the sprites. I played a little bit of it and it doesn't scratch the same itch as some other games do. I actually think I like Arknights a bit more because the tower defense segments can get very hectic and require some creative (or insane) solutions and sometimes it can come down to the wire. And I generally don't like tower defense, but it kept me for like a year. But I will praise the music, art and animations for Revers1999 though. Very good. I think Genshin has spoiled me on gacha games, there needs to be something MORE than just dialogue/cutscenes and battles. Which is why I'm looking forward to Wuthering Waves, Project Mugen and Arknights Endfield.

To be honest, im not really a fan of the story. The story seems to be more appropriate in an anime or movie rather than in a gacha game. I would say though that i like the artstyle and music. The gameplay is just meh imo.

this isn't really a game for me its because it looks like the same old 2d format of turn based game thats been used for the 199th times dont get me wrong not hating on it i dont hate the game its a cool battle system but i think that concept is also reused form other turn based games and seeing a 2d turn based game on 2023 just feel old? its like im back on 2005-2010 playing on my phone. also im a gameplay first story/lore second kinda guy!

I kinda dislike this game for the same reason as Arknights. I can tell the story is good, but I really hate looking at this kind of splash art where the background is so blown out you can barely see the character in it. Like, if I can't see their designs, eyes and facial expressions properly outside the story, then pulling chars becomes only a means of clearing the game. And even that seems meaningless because during gameplay the chars are in chibi forms anyway 😅 I don't mind watching if you guys want to play it of course! I barely keep up with Genshin and HSR now so a third game is a no-go 😂

If you just care about the story we may have a fix for you in the works. 👀 Story has been VERY good so far and I’m loving the gameplay and team building potential. However, this is a drastically different game compared to Genshin and Star Rail. Weirdly enough, I’d compare this game closer to something like Slay the Spire. 😂
