Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit ru-vid.comUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.
Would definitely love to see you hook one of them off the kayak, it'll probably be the fastest that kayak has ever been 😂🤣 love the vids keep up the great content
There is that story of a guy hooking either a marlin or a shark and it draged him 12km out to sea on his kayak (its on utube somewhere). I think if you got a decent barrel tuna it could deffently be a lot of fun 👍

I have to admit your pretty brave to go so far offshore in a kayak on your own so I guess I’m saying I would love to see some more estuary fishing but keep the quality videos coming!👍😁

Cracking video as always. I'm so jealous of the fishing you guys get down in Oz. There's no big game fish like that where I live in Scotland unless you're lucky enough to have a boat you can get out to deep water wrecks with. The charter boats just target mackerel for the tourists. Keep the videos coming buddy.

Hey Nev! Nice video mate :)! I've done some bluefin tuna fishing in Spain, we found it's really important to match the hatch. We have had busts as big as football fields, and not having the exact profile of the bait would result in no strikes at all. In Spain we often use a bait called 'Delta Eels' they are tiny softbaits (6-8cm) we rig with a tuna hook on a 1,5 meter leader. In front of the leader we fish a swivel with a heavy see through bombetta as a casting weight. Fish it super slow in a bust and you will get a bite guaranteed if they chew on tiny baitfish like small pilchards or anchovy's. Give it a try some time :)! BTW you deserve more subs man, nice vids keep on going!
Great video mate, hahaha the gaff man went a bit early, you must get your calm temperament from your mum. ;-) you are definitely making squid fishing look way too easy, I do have a lot of success myself on white jigs and strangely enough when they don’t work the black one does. Lol today I went fishing in Sydney harbour,two kids next to me caught a small king and a 50cm+ flattie.I caught nothing even tho there are lots of salmon,bonie and Mac tuna bust ups.Unfortunate day lol.
