A fellow can add the hydraulic quick connect on his own. I have fluid filled turf tires and much prefer them over the R4’s. He was correct about buying the tractor once instead of changing out later. Buy once- cry once.

Brock and Waldo, thanks for the great video. That is a well designed combination of tractor and upgrades. I noticed the nice grading job the back of the bucket does with the bucket in the open position. Has anyone used this type of bucket to push snow? It looks like a snow-pusher, with the advantage that the bucket could close to lift the snow up to dump on a pile.
@RockhillfarmYT
@RockhillfarmYT Год назад
I do think that would be a good use, although you never really know until you try it. It feels like a poor man’s dozer blade, which is obviously very limited by the pushing power of a small tractor. that being said, feels more convenient than trying to push backward with your box blade or when you just have one small thing to do and don’t want to switch rear attachments Same thing, not as good as a Grapple but nice to be able to carry something without switching

Once you learn to use the 4in one bucket u do things that you never would have thought of with a standard bucket and with the proper weight on the back grapple would not be necessary unless you just have to have one

The frustrating part is knowing what options are available. I watched many channels before buying my 1025R and now I have a list of options that I would like but didn't know existed. This is my first tractor so I really had no idea what was available or what I would need. Still happy with what I've got but now I have to add everything which means I have to submit requests to the head of the finance committee. Thanks Brock!

Yeah, a lot of these features are nice to have but they do rack up the budget. The four in one bucket and the hydraulic thumb are great but I’m probably not going out and spending more money because what I have works A couple of them aren’t that much more expensive and I would have if I knew more about it at the time The WR long kit is a better value than what I have so I would choose it on the next tractor The single point connector is better and doesn’t cost that much. Wish I had done it when I ordered.

4 in 1 buckets are pretty well standard equipment on smaller tractors that have a loader in Australia. A standard bucket is a real low budget cheap choice. I’m not sure why that is but it could be due to the influx of cheap Chinese tractors that came with 4 in 1 buckets. This forced the established brands to include them as standard. The 4 in 1 bucket on my Kubota tractor is a Kubota bucket. It’s very heavy duty made of thick steel. It’s quite versatile and is a Swiss Army knife of buckets, not as good as a dedicated implement but better than nothing.

@Rockhill farm I would like to have the extra capacity of a 6 footer behind my 3039r but am not willing to go with a lighter duty unit to do so. I hate mowing with a loader, so i use 8- 70 pounders on the front. I still don't think that would be enough counter wieght for a mx6, though?
@RockhillfarmYT
@RockhillfarmYT Год назад
@@bradbruggeman6745 in my mind it seems like it could handle it because I have other attachments that weigh 1000 pounds on the rear but I try to take other peoples experience into account and the consensus seems to be that it’s too heavy. My tractor is loaded down with all the weight I can put on it and I mow with the loader on.
@bradbruggeman6745
@bradbruggeman6745 Год назад
@Rockhill farm Yeah,mowing with the loader off makes a big difference. It's pretty hilly here in Southern Indiana. I have had the front-end bobble occationally with the mx5. And that's with 560 lb of front counter wieght not including the wieght bar itself.

@@bradbruggeman6745I have found that leaving the loader on with a brush cutter on has saved me from extra damage to the front end and u can push things down and yes I have mowed very steep banks and hills put the loader as close to the ground saved me from roll over when I found a hole that was there that wasn't the time before I mowed there

Whats your thought on how the 4-1 bucket would perform in your rock environment. I’m in southwest Missouri and have the same rock issues you do. Just went from a 3 series open to a cab 4 series. The cab 4 is just amazing.
@ibwaldo
@ibwaldo Год назад
A cab 4 series is my dream machine 👍 a 4 in 1 bucket is built stronger that a standard duty bucket, but I’m not sure how it compares to a heavy duty. It’s capable of offering options, but a dedicated implement will always out perform it. It works great in my situation. In the video I meant to say our road is mostly red clay, spots of sand, and gravel. The “dirt” here in central Oklahoma is a mixture of red clay and sand. The only rocks I have is a layer of sandstone at various depths below the dirt. A tooth bar or my backhoe bucket can chip away at the sandstone though.

@DemoDad101
@DemoDad101 Год назад
Couple things: 1) you do pay for the labor of anything you want installed. It changes the “setup fee”. 2) a lot of radial tires come with larger rims and that means you can’t hold as much fluid for ballast. Lastly, I think Brock had the better system for loader hydraulics. I don’t think the return on invest is very good on a factory installed true third function versus a diverter valve. Even on a 2 or 3 series….the hydraulic flow is just not good enough to do multiple loader functions at once. One last thought, the 0% or 1.9% APR isn’t a great deal if you’re charged $2000-$3000 for it. You’re basically paying the finance reserve up front and you don’t really gain anything.
@waynejones5239

4 in 1 is the proper term. The 4 functions are: 1 - bucket 2 - dozer blade 3 - grapple 4 - box blade (when fully opened, rotated forward, and back blading) You can also clamshell down to get the last little bit of a pile which is nice if it’s stones in your yard. The last handy function to to top dress by getting a buck full of material and slightly open it up and gate the material out the bottom.
