Hi Mati, the intake seems to be a nice upgrade for the car. I was just wondering, me and my dad modified my Up TSI quite a bit. It’s been chiptuned (remapped, how you’re calling it?) from the beginning, and it’s got 130hp now. After some time we also lowered it, and built an exhaust system for it, by using an aftermarket muffler with valve, which makes it pretty much straight piped when open. Do you think this upgrade is worth it? Does it only increase the sound of the engine itself, and like the turbo whistle? Or do you think it’ll also benefit the sound out of the exhaust? Especially with my ‘straight piped exhaust’?
The Up! never looks fast on camera compared to some big power cars, but honestly to drive its so fun! My partner has one and we're thinking of upgrading the brakes on it as they seem to be pretty shocking from standard.
@Brewster I put fresh (solid) Brembo discs and some ceramic brake pads on my tuned-up Skoda Citigo and they work pretty well. I also put decent coilover suspension/shocks on at the same time, so that probably also helped the braking. Stock calipers and drums(!) on the rear. You probably don't need much more unless you are taking it to > 150 BHP and the track, as it's such a light car.
Love the sound. I have just brought a 21 reg up gti love the car can not wait to start modding mine. Only issues I have with the car at the moment are the tyres are crap that will be first mod for me. Like the videos keep them coming
@@matimcfetridge yeah been looking at alloys too with mine being white like yours I am looking at black multi spoke wheels. What exhaust you putting on?
How did you buy one of these I’ve got the Audi A3 1.0 that’s the same engine as what this has but when I go on the racingline website there’s nowhere to buy it from also how much is it?
Hi Mati - you mentioned that you have some Eibach lowered springs for the GTI that you’re yet to put on. Where did you get these from? I’ve noticed that on VWs official website, they have some lowered Eibach springs (15mm front and back). I don’t suppose they’re these ones?
