I found a video pertaining to valid FVG and invalid FVG or since then I have changed the terminology to weak vs. strong FVG. A Strong FVG is when ALL 3 candles close in the same direction of the displacement candle. So for Long FVG to be strong, you should see the 1st candle close bullish, then the big displacement candle bullish and the 3rd candle bullish. If either of the 2 bookend candles is an opposite candle close, in this case bearish then that Bullish FVG is weak. Another video stated that any candle close through the mid line of the FVG also invalidates the FVG. So in the FVG that failed, not only did it fail to make a lower low but the FVG to the left started with a down closed candle instead of an up close candle making it less likely price would close above the mid point of the FVG. However Dodgy would've taken that candle close IFVG every time and in this instance have gotten a losing trade.

the one thing i see mostly is when it do a retest in the other side then its valid otherwise its manipulation, i struggle before but now i see it better or a draw a box to see what price does.. good explanation Casper,good channel also

So if I understand this correctly: Displacement is when price action takes out a high/low while also creating a fair value gap. If price action takes out a high/low and it doesn't create a fair value gap we say "price failed to displace". If price takes out a high/low but the candle doesn't close above/below the high/low then we call that manipulation. Please somebody confirm this for me.

Isn't this also iFVG awareness? In other words, once you have displacement, it will be based on the iFVG being held up and allowing the displacement to the other side.
