Great idea, but prob a little too pricey for me to do one movement. If the part against the rack was a good bit taller and allowed scrape the rack presses, or somehow made the product a bit more versatile, it might better justify the price.
Good review and a innovative product. I think the price point is too high for what it is, but I understand a small company probably did a small run of these and that makes things more expensive to manufacture. They must selling because they are mostly sold out.
I think they’re filling a specific niche in the market that went ignored for a long time so as awareness of the product grows I think mark pressure will drive prices down (or increase the available options with each unit). Thanks for watching!
Appreciate it! Def agree. We're looking into new solutions in manufacturing to drop the price. 5X cost difference to keep it manufactured in the US in small production runs.
@@U4CFitness It sounds to me like volume will decrease the price even if you don't change manufacturers so basically, the more you sell, the more you're able to reorder for restock and the lower the price can be on future production runs!
Yeah Alex, I agree! If I had seen this when I was first setting up my home gym I would’ve definitely grabbed a pair! Maybe not the first year, but when I started training POF and doing a lot more calf workouts I would have definitely grabbed one!
Thanks for the video. Takes up a bit too much room on the front post for such a specialized use case. I’ll keep them in mind, but I don’t know if they are for me.
Hey thanks for commenting! I think you might have been the first to comment so I appreciate it! No this isn’t for everyone and I knew that when I agreed to try it out but I always think that it’s better to give you guys the information and let you decide what works best for your situation. Stop by again soon!
I wish these j cups had some UHMW protection around the part of the j cup that comes in contact with rack. Would be easy to fix with UHMW tape. Might be helpful to add mag pin hole in the back of the jcup to secure them like titan and BOS does for their roller jcups. Interesting product 😊.
With this? Yes, the point of the U Cups is that your hands are free to hold the bar. If you don’t the bar will move around on your shoulders as you go up and down.
I guess it depends on how important being able to do that exercise is to you. There’s really only one other product on the market that’s like this so it’s tough to decide what the price for this should be since it’s so unique.
