Because these bloggers pay for such videos to match the worst make up trend on RU-vid and other social media platforms. No make-up artist does such worst kind of make up and also she doesn’t share a single detail of the place or the make up artist which makes it more clear and we being fools love her for her innocence and hate the person we don’t even know ha ha we are big-time fools .
I’m appalled, as a retired makeup artist I was sickened. He used a soiled towel, and I cannot help but wonder how sanitary the brushes were that he used in the application of the makeup. I would be surprised if you didn’t develop an eye infection. The makeup he used was for brown skinned individuals, not for someone with your complexion. I’m sorry you had that experience. Self taught makeup “artists” so often don’t have the educational background to foster best sanitary practices.
I am a small time MUA and my mom is a retired MUA like you, I always show her these videos. She watches them with her mouth open wide. I do too of course. But the amount of unsanitary practices is unreal. Just when you think it can't get any worse, we're proven wrong.

I’m self taught- color match, clean EVERYTHING.. disposable brushes for lips & mascara, a spatula & plate to scrape bullets & if needed create colors, never use directly from the tube unless it’s new & you GIVE it to your client, I seriously could go on.. but.. having “training” I’m sure you already know. But on another note- I’d like to NOT be placed in the same classification as this sassy man who improperly applied “basics.” K? Thaaaanks🤗

He made some unnecessary and rude comments to you and it's like really? Why? Please don't subject yourself to dirty makeup and tools and "makeup artists " who use bacterial laden and fungal infected tools. I'd instead like to see act as an investigatory journalist and ask questions about their practices. This would still be amazing content. I want to hear these people justify themselves and their lack of sanitary practices. Bacteria can literally eat through your skin into the underlying tissue and into muscle. As can fungal infections. Both can be extremely dangerous to eyes and skin.

Why do I get the idea some of these so called makeup artists have never actually been to beauty school or have any kind of training? It’s like someone wanted to make money so they just bought a box of makeup and set up a “salon.”
I CRiNgE at all of the unhygienic practices and supplies in so many of your videos, and wonder if you get tested for hepatitis regularly, bc that seems like a legit risk/concern at a lot of these places. Love your videos, but I couldn't do it, so kudos to you! Also, this guy was a horse's ass. At what point do you remove yourself from a situation like that? Oh my gosh, the non existent hygiene here and the cross contamination, the terrible technique and application, the makeup products, the final look, the rudeness....omg this must have been a terrible experience for you! You are one brave girl I will tell you that!
Aside from the lack of hygienic measures of these "MUAs", there's also the added risk of them using cheap knock-off makeup products that can cause serious damage to your health! A good example of this would be Beauty Glazed. This cheap makeup brand got their Gourgeous Me palette pulled out of Amazon because it was later found to have asbestos. Another would be Nadi (Popluxe) who used to have a youtube series where he tries out cheap imitation makeup, but later on discontinued it after getting allergic reactions and irritations from some of it. Hygienic practice is a good start, but the quality of the products matters too.

The fact that you have yet to stop one of these “artists” makes you a true CHAMPION! But mommas… at some point you’ll have to. You’re going to end up getting some kind of infection. The level (and amount) of people that just pretend to be MUAs is incredibly scary.
Our one difference of opinion is that I never mind the thicker, defined eyebrows MUAs like to give you, so long as they're actually even and not stark black compared to your brown hair. But everything else about this entire video was... eugh. Oh my god. What an unsanitary and unempathetic MUA. You know, something that suprises me is more of these MUA don't do the eyes first then foundation/concealer. I always do it in that order just in case there's fall out of some mistake. It was hard to get use to at first but now it's the only way to go imo!

I think most places she goes to are mainly hair salons, when she calls to see if someone can do her makeup of course they are going to take that opportunity to say yes, even though not one of them knows how to..

I'm a professional as well (tv/film, going union soon!) and the really terrifying thing is, if she hasn't been tested, she could already have been exposed to pathogens like herpes (both simplexes), Hep C, HIV etc that stay with you for life. Even outside of those, you could catch any curable kind of infection (say, pink eye or a fungal infection) and even those can have lasting aesthetic or health effects. It's really scary!!
Years back, when I just started getting into makeups, I read an article about a woman getting herpes from lip stick testers at MAC. And that got me so paranoid that I wouldn't even put testers at the stores on my face. With these unhygienic makeup 'artists' and salons, it's really lucky nothing serious has happened to Judy yet.

I just can't believe women would pay for that makeup, be satisfied and go to an event or something proud of the fact they used their own money to get their makeup to look like that!! @@AspenDreamzzz I don't think so because some cheap places have been good. I think genuinely these people look at make-up as a way to make extra money from their hair salon, whether they are trained or not. As someone who is incredibly fair, almost pale blue, even in the UK people used to want to darken my skin rather than match it properly, and try to bronze it which makes me look like I have dirt on my face, especially make-up counter girls! If you're lucky you get somebody good at make-up, but at least in the UK these places have very strict hygiene. When I holidayed in Turkey my ex went to a barbers for the full Turkish shave experience and immediately they were like oh we can get a girl to do your nails if you like. I think she was a sister of one of the guys, I was bored waiting so I said yes and it was cheap so she arrived with her personal make-up bag of nail things and filed and painted my nails and told me off where some nails had broken and were shorter. Trust me these people have no issue telling you your flaws! She wasn't a manicurist and It was no better than I would do myself at home, it was just a way to earn some extra cash I guess. If Judy named the places she would destroy their business, nobody would do her make-up, and she could end up facing legal issues if a company got mad. I personally think it is fairer this way. Plus she doesn't need to name them really as if I saw a floor that dirty and a make-up kit that dirty I wouldn't have my make-up done there. I've never booked anywhere I haven't checked out first!

I have never been more appalled by the lack of care someone had when applying your makeup. This was gross, harsh, rude, disrespectful, and above all- entirely too rough. You mentioned the towel and products placed near your eye, but the dudes dirty fingernails never even earned a mention. Oof. Please be kind to yourself. You’re a beautiful and gentle individual who is definitely not represented by the comments this insensitive makeup applyer (no artist in sight) chose to spew out.
