As a pastor, I can tell you I didn’t play it last Sunday, but I will this Sunday, since I have watched it. Honesty is all God ask of us. We must come to him and admit that we are just like this man said, we need a savior, and I am so glad that God sent His son to die in my place. Hallelujah I am still a piece of crap, but I wear the righteousness of Jesus now, praise God.
It is such people who act holy and project perfection that when I was in a dark place left me for spiritually dead. I recognize that I am accountable for my failures to see them ahead of time, It took me YEARS to get back to Beliving in Jesus again.....but I keep my distance from most believers due to being literally, from a spiritual perspective....gutted. I remain guarded. After GWOT and getting out, dealing with loss of friends, family etc. It took time to heal. But I now see generational curses from the past which I must address, if necessary alone. Trust does not come easy for me especially on spiritual and soulful matters. Its earned. I stand alone for now......TBD
I was talking to a woman at work kept saying GD. After about 4 times, I asked her to please stop saying that. She asked me, WHAT? I told her that taking the Lord's name in vain puts you in danger of hell fire. Again, she asked what I was talking about. When I explained it to her, she was so upset with HERSELF, because she had recently got saved. She said NO ONE ever told her that. She then started reading her instruction manual; the HOLY BIBLE!😊❤❤❤❤
That’s not what that scripture means. It means do not profess to be His for vanity, do not profess to be a disciple but live for yourself. You know when a bride takes the name of her husband yet still lives like she is single and dates other men?
Every single one of us were pieces of shit before Jesus redeemed our worthless lives. Some people just aren't to proud to understand that and admit it.
I'm a pastor and Missionary. And you are correct. Years ago, I was planting a Church in Northern Maine. There was a guy there who had never been before. Almost every week he would interrupt my sermon asking a question. I just answered him. He never missed a Sunday and asked me at least a hundred questions. He didn't have a clue about how people act in church, but every week I knew someone there wanted to hear God's word
Perhaps that one man was the one you were there to show the way. Remind me of the story of the man who died and Jesus took him to a church and he couldn't hear a single person sing save for a single little girl. Maybe the guy asking all the questions was the only one truly listening and hungry for truth
I truly respect that you loved his heart for wisdom, a guy like that use to attend our little church too. Curious though: You never bothered to correct him in private? By "correct" I mean kindly explaining proper order. Honor, humility and patience should be a byproduct of maturity and growth. Those characteristics are what keep me from interrupting my fellow man in casual conversation. How much more when a man of God is speaking divine truths from God's heart through his manifest Word?
I would take that man as a friend and neighbor any day of the week. He is honest and you would know where you stood with him. The world needs a lot more people like that.
I'm an elderly Christian lady who has followed Christ since I was five. And I assure you, when I saw this video, I burst out laughing! Christ came to call the sinners to repentance, not the self-righteous. I love honest people - And this young man in the baptismal was not saying something God didn't already know. This man is God's kind of people. I praise the Lord Jesus Christ for taking the broken into His heart, and healing them from the inside out, and making them new in Him. Though I have followed hard after the Lord all my life, I clung to Him not because I was so holy, but because I knew where my sustenance, help, strength, joy and peace came from, and I have been blessed with a lifetime of opportunities to point people to the Savior - not because I'm so good, but because HE is! Praise His Holy Name!!! This video warmed my heart.💗
yeah, I still wouldn't be saying that in front of kids though. Not going to go crazy on anyone over it, but I always change bad words in songs for kids.
@@robwilliamson-kv9qr That's not for you or me to say. Next week, if you were drowning in a car trying to cross a bridge and he saved your life, would you still say this. Sometimes you can only control yourself. I'm old and grey haired but seen a lot as decades pass.
as a cop i met many in need of Jesus, i have invited them to attend with me, i have sat with some reeking with the smell of alcohol, i have seen many overcome, find Jesus & turn their life around, i'll sit with anyone in any condition in church with faith & prayers for them to overcome evils & let Jesus in their hearts, if we were all perfect, sin/fault free there would be no need of a Heaven & Jesus would never had to die on a Cross, in my life i have often seen more less than perfect on the streets who love & try to serve GOD than many Sunday only Church goers do, as you said Church Meetings/God's House should be a place of Healing, thank you for sharing
My brother was a Minister of a church in CA and in his city he went downtown and brought the prostitutes to his church. The church fired him...yup, never ever let pious christians take your Joy of Jesus! Make it a beautiful walk with our Lord! Iron sharpening iron! Amen! 🙏
I say to you, if your brother truly wants to be a minister of God, he will receive his own church if/when he's willing to do God work for it. The church wanted to look good for the people. Your brother was to do good for God. Stay in the heart.
@@cindyhamblin5673Thank you for your Brother's service for our Nation 🇺🇸 in 'Nam and most important His Service for the KING!!! Looking forward to meeting you & your brother one day in the City Built Four Square.😂
@@SheepdogPreparedness bless you, brother I hope by doing this we can bring people back to God’s heart. The mistakes and language and habits from our past don’t matter, but his promise is everything! God bless you and your family -BB
What is wrong with you making excuses for a man saying a cuss word and fixing to be baptized? If the HolySpirit came upon this man, He would not be saying a cuss word. He would be humble and he would be Thanking Jesus for saving his soul and saving him from an eternity in hell. This is no laughing matter.
This video should shock you. There was no evidence of repentance, everyone is assuming that the pastor confirmed some kind of confession but it wasn't shown. The man wasn't being honest or he would have used the present participle instead of past tense. Please, do better or you too will find your lamp removed on the day of visitation.
We are not to compare ourselves from among ourselves for we do not do well. I would not play it if I was a pastor or sound man or had any attachments to showing of anybody else that is in the church that I am in. Jesus said who without sin throw the first stone. I'm a filthy sinner I DO NOT think less of this man. I'm confident on how spirits work in this world. When you allow one thing into the church others will start. His pastor should sit him down and explain scripture to him in the scriptures that talks about bridal your tongue and what you say foul language. I myself is a filthy sinner I used to curse a lot. And to be honest I would be embarrassed 2 share this video and when this guy gets a conviction if he does true repentance he will be embarrassed himself
I was a legal religious person until (as the churchy people put it, I sinned) i fell off my high horse of pious ness. I laugh because I know I was born a sinner, always struggle. I have ALWAYS been rejected by churchy people in their hypocrisy! I would rather sit with the sinners then gorge with the religious hypocrites!
I was that guy! Easter Sunday of 2020 I accepted Christ into my life, and in 2022 I got baptized. It was one of the greatest days of my life, surrounded by friends and family who supported me. That man she be given all of the support we can give him. He asked to be forgiven and have his sins washed away and became a new God loving man. God bless that man for telling it how it WAS, and letting us know where he’s at now and hopefully for eternity! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
I used to party and drink every weekend and tell dirty jokes and cuss. I was 46 yrs old when I got saved and baptized. Giving up drinking was easy. Changing the way I talked took time. It's hard to curb your tongue! And it don't happen on the spot for most of us. I'm still working on it and I'm 60yrs old now. I'm still on my journey and thank God I've gotten better about not using profanity! I do not like to hear profanity now in everyday language but even tho I may not speak it out loud, I still think it sometimes. So yeah, God is still working on me and I'm greatful He don't give up on me. Honesty. It goes a long way. May God bless His people and this nation. We are all in need of His mercy and His grace.
Awesome testimony! Only the Holy Spirit can change a man's walk & his talk. I'm 60 as well. I know. The cleansing of the Blood of CHRIST can mend a broken spirit & tame a wild tongue if we allow HIM. GOD BLESS!!!😊
@@jameswood231 My Savior has done so much for me. Had a non believer ask me once how I knew I was saved. I told him because there's a new way I behave now and I feel Him in my heart. He never asked me another question about my faith. I just hope a seed was planted for him. May you be blessed from above sir.
So many have been shunned from church and told they didn't belong. I'm one of those people. The church I grew up in of all places. Had been gone from church for about 4 or 5 years and when I was walking up to the church,.. a wealthy woman began to yell at me in front of everyone. Said I didn't belong in her church and to go back where I belong and a few others words. Called me trash. I was 15 and alone. She had no idea my first hero in life was Jesus and that I felt I needed to return. Now, I'm 62. Jesus never left my side nor has his angels and my children believe in Christ too. Took a long time for me to realize that but I did. That woman didn't stop me at all. She simply alter my path to the same destination. May God Please Bless everyone that reads this and know,... those churchy people are only just that, Churchy. They just don't get it.
I read a poem recently…not word for word but what I remember….. If you got drunk and wasted last night and you came to church this morning…. Sit by me You’re exactly where you need to be. If you got divorced and the last church condemned you for it… Sit by me You’re exactly where you need to be. If you got an abortion and your heart is breaking… Sit by me You’re exactly where you need to be. If you came to church this morning it’s because in your deepest most painful moments you are seeking forgiveness. This is all of us, no matter the sin, at one time… just seeking forgiveness and praise God we have a place to go and someone to seek for that very forgiveness… and His name is Jesus. ❤🙏 My Nanny used to say the church is for sinners because not one coming through those doors is without sin. God bless you all through your day today.
Your Nanny was right, the Bible says we are all sinners not one without sin in the sight of God. The "body" of the church should read and remember that.
My body is a temple in which to worship, I don’t need a brick and mortar building to do so. My last day at a “church”, I was told that I couldn’t enter the building without changing my clothes. I had a new pair of jeans and a dress shirt, but evidently I wasn’t dressed properly to worship God in their “church”. I’m doing fine with reading the Bible and asking for forgiveness all by my lonesome. I don’t need self righteous people trying to tell me how I should dress to do so.
@@JohnMcClain-p9t well I drove semi for a long long time the only thing I wore was shorts or jeans so I don't have no dresses but that's what I wear to church they sure don't mind
I agree with you. Honestly I was turned off of church because of hypocrites. I have been a hypocrite, but I do not want to be one in church. I don’t want to be surrounded by folks who think they are better than the rest of us. I try to worship God on my own daily.
I came to Jesus about six months after returning from occupying Beirut, 82-83. I returned drinking and trying to hide my memories of that eight months and finally was baptized in January of 84. I remained a Marine for a decade and a half afterwards because of "the Roman Centurion" and the lack of condemnation of him as "Jesus marveled". I remain "more than a little rough around the edges", it's my nature, what put me in the Corps, kept me in through a few more wars and keeps me humble. I was raised in an atheist home, I remain apart from my family in my faith and my church is full of folks who remember their past and are proud of putting it behind. John McClain, GySgt, USMC ret.
Ah, the story of the Centurion, one of my favorites. Because, it said Jesus marveled at his faith. You know you got it going on when The Son of God is impressed.
God Bless you John and thank you so much for your service. My older brother was a proud marine and Christian. The Lord took him via helicopter crash in 89 s. korea.. 35 yrs later I still dream about him and know He's with Jesus❤😊 Semper Fi brother in Christ
@@katesaunders4481 Thank you so much for that blessing! I was in the Gulf in 89, we lost a lot of Marines in those days that followed. Semper Fi in Christ back at you. I pray you have solace in your loss since then. We don't forget the ones we have lost. I've got a good local church that is very supportive and I hope you do as well. Thank you again.
@@keithdaniels1994 After you've lived through a war, you can see the simple things far more clearly. I grew up through the Spanish civil war and the Italian war against the Red Brigades, 60-64 as a "navy brat". Semper Fi!
Extremely Broken, saved, and more thankful than most because of the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ. As God changes this man's heart, his lifestyle and language will change. I would have no issues having this man in my church or as a friend.
Absolutely love the pure simple straightforward honesty in his choice of words. The jerk that made the choice to look down on and judge an individual who is trying to make that huge change is the type of person that has caused me to refuse to step foot in a brick and mortar church. I'd much rather to worship outside in my own way every day than to just jump up on Sunday and pay lip service
***Folks ought not to act so heavenly minded that they're no earthly good! This man has a testimony as to where he came from and where he is today because of God's mercy and grace!*****
Hello from Oklahoma! Good Video! The old river rat here. I tell young people all the time, God doesn't have a certain way for you to pray, just talk to him. He hears and sees You 24/7. God knew You before you were born, and Your life was planned before you were born. Some think I'm a nut, others are moved by this. I tell them don't believe me, study the Bible it's all there. Thanks for all You Do! God Bless!
Congratulations!! Welcome to the family of The Lord!! The church building is supposed to be a place for the sick. Come as you are and let Jesus do what He wants with you!!
Exactly right, I quit church because I wasn't good enough for the people there. I knew I had problems, still do. But I know my lord guides me, protects me, and my family. I'm still reluctant to enter a church, but I do miss the sermons, which doesn't seem to be what they do today, all rock concerts and feel good hour. I wan't Jesus to be the reason I'm there.
I was trying to find a church to go to and the first three that I went into they said you need to pay ties because my jet needs work so long loser that's what I said
@@jackpleb2360 false. There are still churches who preach the truth of God's Word and not conformed to the world. The Catholic Church is not without its own problems.
You don’t need church. God loves you as you are. He is not taking count in the pews, He is taking account of your heart. Love the Lord with all your heart, soul and strength. Commune with Him in your home, in your car, even at the grocery store. Those that believe in Jesus, as the son of God, and died on the cross for our forgiveness by the shedding of His blood, AND that He rose from the grave to sit on the right side of His Father, then you SHALL NOT PERISH, but have eternal life. Repent, turn away from sin and live by HIS commandments. Who ever you are, God loves you and so do I.
I am crazy bastard without Jesus. With Jesus I am just crazy and a little bit of crazy is a good thing. I am the guy in my church who don’t care who you are or what needs to be done I hear you need help I will be there and most likely a hour early for a head start
Jesus said, “There is more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents” Luke 15:7. Jesus said to them, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you that the tax collectors and the prostitutes will get into the kingdom of God before you." Matthew 21:31 Jesus' blood makes all the difference! Praise the Lord! 🙏
I too used to be a POS, but when God found me, I invited the Holy Spirt and began the sanctification process through Him. Every time you get knocked down, repent and return. Try to keep a running conversation with God going at all times. Invite the Holy Spirit to change your heart and mind every day to make you more like Jesus. We have to stop trying to do it ourselves (because we cannot change ourselves) we have to surrender and let God change us. Submit to the process of sanctification, and allow the Holy Spirit to burn the impurities out of your heart. Knowing God should slowly make you better each day. Ask Him to change you and then do what He says.
Hey Buddy I was a Altarboy and I was in very good shape in fact it helped me survive my combat tour in Vietnam along with my faith that God would see me through and get me home in LA.
I absolutely love honesty. I would rather hear the truth regarding just about anything, than hear a pack of lies being told just to make people "comfortable". This man will learn that it might be nicer to not swear in church. He will learn to behave a bit differently, but what you are getting now is a man being baptized because he's been a "POS". Those are his words and I'm sure those are honest words. At least now the Pastor understands what he is dealing with and he is more ready to help this newly baptized man. God bless him and God bless us all. Thanks Buddy. God bless you and yours Buddy Brown............. 🙏
Amen brother, narrow is the path to righteousness few will find it!! This man is on the right path, may God blessthis man & you also Buddy for sharing this story.
a lot of people with backbone won't be going to Heaven. and this pastor laughing at someone using profanity at his baptism kinda proves your commitment. read a little Old Testament and see how serious God is about sin.
@Bigdaddyleroy2big do you watch any RU-vid videos or TV with some cussing? This is possibly a young Christian that was just saved and doesn't know Christian "edicate" and you would expect the pastor the shout him down ir something?
@@d_Gnome no i wouldn't expect the pastor to shout him down right there, but I wouldn't expect him to laugh. as a pastor, he should have counciled the young man ahead of time. as the son of a preacher, my dad always counciled anyone he baptized them, at least one time. not to tell them to not cuss, but to make sure they understood significance of baptism and the reverence and respect God expects from Christians new and old. like i said read Leviticus, and notice the how important attention to detail was to the God in directing worship for the Israelites.
You said something very true. Doesn't matter if you went to church every Sunday it matters what's in your heart. I alsways say we will be surprised who actually gets there and who doesn't. I do my best to talk the talk and walk the walk.
This was so refreshing to watch. You hit the nail on the head on why people don't go to church. The holier than thou people that criticize other people and other Christian churches because they don't have the exact same views as them selves.
No your not. You were created by God, in your mother's womb. We can't earn salvation. Trying is futile. Good works are futile. Grab your Bible, read carefully Ephesians 2: 8,9 and John 14: 6
Every time you get knocked down, repent and return. Try to keep a running conversation with God going at all times. Just discovered Buddy Brown's channel today ! Am so glad he focused on what matters most : another humbled Sinner trusting in Christ alone and called out the phony self righteous comment about "this brave new believer's" honest self appraisal. Dealing with Inner Bad Pride and our own tendency toward judgemental-ness of others rather than ourselves is and will remain our Big Inner Weakness and most impt. challenge !
