So murdering his baby wasn’t enough to change him from “the man he was then” yet we’re supposed to believe he’s changed now? I think he deliberately stabbed his baby to get back at his wife. He’s vile.

They started by giving him light sentences and now release him. In prison he could get medical attention.. he's going to be a drain on the system in one way or another. Releasing him into society is sickening.

I think the only reason that they let him go is because he’s sick and they the ( DOC ) don’t want to have to pay for it anymore than they have to . So they’re just letting the state take care of it for them . That doesn’t mean that he should be free to do it again ( which I think he will do it again ) but that’s why they’re letting him go free in my opinion .

I don't know how you wouldn't impose a much harsher sentence on yourself for killing your own child. Even if it was accidental I don't think I would make it to court. He's still not coming clean, he's still hiding from his true self.

I feel like the technology has out grown some of the board. They ask a question and then don’t pause for a response. I feel like they would get more out of the accused if they let them answer. Finally someone is freed!! This is the first i saw where someone was granted rarly realease. And i know yall are gonna come for me but when his crimes happened he was a young man and probably wasnt fully developed not to mention he was illiterate. And after 42 years hes done everything in his power to better him self and become a better man and better person. Hes almost 70! And he had all these illnesses. If that were you at that age wouldnt you want to live your last days and somewhat a free man? Hes not completely off the hook. Hes gonna be on parol and checked up in all the time. Forgiveness is a powerful thing if the victims family can fogive him why cant people who DO NOT KNOW HIM forgive his crimes. And as for the self defense crap im sure his lawyer at the time didnt care about him enough to try to help him

It seems like a lot of half listening goes on. He is currently married to the same woman that was involved in that fight where the baby died. What it sounds like is that she was holding the baby and all three of them were stabbed because he references waking up in the hospital. Also in both situations he stayed and turned himself in. Could illiteracy possibly have been a factor? And you are quick to call everyone liars however these hearings wouldn’t even be so common if Louisiana was on the up and up in the first place.

I'm with you, I can't get past this lil baby. At first it waspresented that the baby was accidently stabbed, now we find out the baby is stabbed twice, his wife multiple times. Notice he said he cut her throat- he even made the motion of cutting her neck- but no one else mentions that. If a parent is holding a knife, they would keep it far from their child, at all costs. This man starts stabbing anything around him willy nilly, despite the baby being in front of him. He gets off easy, then boldly shoots another man twice in the back. In public! He endangered everyone in the restaurant! And we are supposed to believe he did all this because he couldn't read or write?? Or because he hadn't taken certain classes?? Please. These criminals get in these classes and are taught to say what the parole board wants to hear. They learn the right words and lingo that placates the court. When they're incarcerated and controlled they seem to straighten up. They go to classes, church, they're "choir boys" in the eyes of foolish people who don't have a lick of sense to begin with. When they agree to plea down and accept the prison time agreed upon....they need to do their time!!
