Today we’re making a Buckwheat Bochet that is aged with Rum Oak Chips. This mead is a little outrageous to consider because there are so many strong flavors but I have really enjoyed it. Buckwheat Bochet (Aged on Rum Oak Chips) Recipe:
5 Pounds & 6 oz of Buckwheat Honey (Bocheted for 1 Hour)
Water Up to 2 Gallons
5 Grams of Lalvin D47
1 tsp of Fermaid K *Added at 24 Hours)
Stabilized with Potassium Sorbate & Metabisulfite
Added 8 oz of Clover Honey
.5 oz of Rum Barrel Oak Chips
