Welcome to Team Megaman! It is so cool of you to demonstrate your change of mind. Glad to see you come around on this device. This was the device that got me to fully commit to working with mini-synths. It was a shock to me that the other POs weren't as versatile with melodic tracks.
Thank you sir!! It is so nice to see the kind face behind the kind voice! I am an amateur with a PO 32 35 and 133, plus an NST1 a volca FM an a Roland JD Xi All I wanted to cover are alternative rock post punk genre like Depeche Mode New Order etc. Which one to keep and which one to resell please being an amateur with portability in mind. Blessings to all you do!!!
I've actually shown my face many times before on the channel haha. I would say keep what makes you the happiest to use, rather than focusing on what genre it can make. Thanks for watching!
To me, this one is more about playing as an instrument, like a piano-not so much on the end of sequencing, unless it’s like what you said about being very manual with it. It (for me) is also a lot about building off of the serendipity that happens while noodling around with it.
Unfortunately when playing it like a piano you don't get access to all 12 notes :( that's why I feel like it's much better suited to sequencing haha. Thanks for watching!
Ha...happy to see you come over to the dark side and embrace the MegaMan! It's still a bummer for live recording, but you just can't beat it as a fully functional budget hardware sequencer with physical buttons, battery power, and speaker. Plus don't forget the unique sounds you can get with glide... Definitely looking forward to that PO album!
It's similar with the po 14 sub. The live input is glitchy. I have the 32, 33, 35, and 133 and that issue isn't there. I hate the process of step inputting notes, but the sound is cool. I think you'd have fun with the 14
I actually own the 14 (made some videos on it earlier last year). Not a big fan of the first gen of POs, the sequencing just falls short of the newer ones in my opinion.
Similarly, consider this video using the PO-16 Factory demonstrating how you can push this device to its very limits: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-T0ACfRcNIkA.html Always push these devices beyond what you think they can do. They will surprise you.
@@FreeBeat ok so could you recommend any other hardware synthesizer which is like easier to use to play chiptune music in real time and maby has a loop function (so i don't have to use a music program) ?
It's totally my favourite! I got it for Xmas and it ended up in a drawer, but this made me pick it up and convinced me I could really create something :D I do wish it had those scales like the PO-speak (I have to rick & morty version!). Why don't all POs use the same system? Also, why is the factory fixed to one scale? I can't play that thing at all... (also got it for xmas ;)) Anyway, thanks for the great videos, more PO megaman tho please! (if you happen to wanna see what I created, using the po-128 and a Volca bass, right here ;) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JpTXLcx9i4s.html )
Yeah I really wish all of the POs had a combination of the Speak's scale selection, and the MegaMan's ability to sequence any note. Thanks for watching!
So I got the robot 🤖 over this cause it cheaper and I like to live play over sequence tracks and got the factory 🏭 this week cause no one likes it I like it a lot it’s hella underrated like the office so now I have all but tonic and speak I’d get the tonic but speak 🗣 idk 🤷♂️
Ps I wish all pos had the option to change notes like the megaman though if ya want to sequence a song it’s definitely the way to go over robot 🤖 unless ya like live play
They should bring out megamans nemesis versions. Or make the sounds like versions of his weapons. Mortal kombat po would be cool I still love want some candy from predator2
