Gemini loves is a good company .most of their drivers helped me out when I started hauling fuel.showing me ways I can get better at loading at the rack.years later am still grateful to them..okc Magellan rack
S/O to DirtyBroke. I don’t work for Gemini but I’m a fuel hauler in Washington state and we’re making money like it ain’t funny. Also keep up the good content you’re putting out OG💯💯💯💯💯
Yo if there’s Thorntons where you live I bet u will never look anywhere else, the pay in Ky is $32-33/hr , KAG at $30, Flying J pilot $28-30, Circle K from $26-28 ,Gemini loves I don’t know how much they start with but I heard they pay better plus remember folks these companies the pay overtime after 8 or 40 hrs.
I said it earlier, without any experience, fresh out of CDL school, it’s possible. Loves, Pilot, Buc’ees the pay is top notch, but they are EXTREMELY hard to get into in Florida.
@@ottohumpmachine8958 is it an easier transition? Fuel hauling was the only driving I did so I have nothing else to compare it to. It wasn’t hard at all outside of the elements. It took some getting used to like any new job. But once you get into a rhythm, it’s a super sweet job.
when I started, nobody would even look at you if you didn't have 2+ years experience. The drop to just being a graduate from an accredited school is mind-blowing.
Just had a business idea and went work for myself for a couple yrs. Im back in the truck now hauling cryogenics now and love it even more than fuel. But for fuel hauling, gemini is top notch in my book.
I worked for Gemini Transportation. Getting hired was hard, but the rewards were worth it. They only wanted people with experience. When i left they were hiring anyone, no matter the experience. Plus we were paid by the load, Then went to Hourly. It was good for awhile, but they started cutting pay. One of the reasons why i left. It was a great experience, that i may go back to first of the year.
What's good Ant! 3rd day of training a success. Straight back mastered dock backing got it. Offset making improvements and haven't tried Parallel but it's going good. Thanks for the vid
What up man, just completed my orientation today for GFS in Lithia springs. I mentioned you in the class and they know all about you bro. I’m looking forward to working with this company, I’m coming from Pepsi so not having to merchandise any product is going to be a plus for me. Thanks for the content bro💪🏽💯
Nice! Pepsi guy’s seem to love us lol. We just hired our 4th former Pepsi driver at my location. I’m going to see if he’s willing to come on the channel to share his experience thus far. Good luck bro. 💪🏾
Im a fuel hauler and I wouldn’t go to Gemini unless you like being out all day they get paid by the hour so most of them drag there feet.I get paid by the day so I run my loads and go home I’m usually dispatched 10-12 hours and finish in 8-9 hours most days
In addition to your CDL you also need a tanker endorsement and a haz-mat. Folks usually call that an endorsement, it's more accurately a type of security clearance. It also has to be renewed every five years. fuels is the most dangerous commodity a driver can transport in everyday commerce, worse than explosives. A good training program is key to a successful career in this field.
Have all my endorsements including hazmat just need to put about 7 more months in doing OTR can't wait I wish I can just go into training for this position
What's crazy is I don't fall under most qualifications because I got my CDL damn near by myself. Never went to an academy/school. I just went to a lil spot out in Orlando that will teach you what you need to know to pass the road test and pretrip. I had drove a stick shift truck to take my test and only had 3 hours of training behind the wheel. 30 mins a day. Passed the second time. Year 2 working for beverage company out of Tampa and don't see where I qualify anywhere else to drive 😂
Sheetz is coming to Detroit and is expanding in MI in a year or two I forget. Cli Transport is the fuel hauling side. They also have food service delivery positions. I would go on thier website and call the recruiter.
Lol I felt a chill when i saw the GFS logo! Hate to say it but, it was the worst job I've had in trucking. 10 to 14 hour days working hard and fast, freezing and sweating, backing up in the dark into places not meant for a truck, angry customers due to gfs prices, negative management, unsafe equipment etc...... all to bring home...$1200 a week?lol Switched to chemicals and my smallest checks are double what gfs pays
I hear you but none of what you stated has been my experience with GFS. I’ve been here 4yrs. Definitely a good company, good equipment, I have an assigned brand new 2023 Freightliner. My hand truck was also brand new when I started. My customers are all cool & I’m definitely making more than $1,200 a week 😂. I also work less than 50hrs a week..Stay safe out there driver.
I’m nervous I have an interview with Sysco and Gordon this week. I’m a woman that’s kind of on the girly side so hopefully they won’t try to look over me because I can move some weight lol.
Is $30 per hour all they pay or do you get paid for mileage and or loading/unloading as well? If it's strictly hourly only, that's not that good for tanker work
Not sure. I believe they have shift differential if you’re on nights but beyond that, I have no idea. Maybe one of their driver’s will see your comment & respond.
I am the Recruiter for Gemini and we pay hourly with time and a half paid over 40 hours per week. On average, our drivers are getting 55-60 hours per week. A $200 monthly safety bonus as well.
30per he is good and above the average I made 35 but worked for the top fuel company in west in west Texas nights was $37 Majority pay under $30 over $22
Read a lot of bad reviews by drivers on google about this company. Does not sound all that great of a company to work for. Just sharing info I read about this company.
I want the ladies who maybe curious about getting into trucking or the fuel hauling industry in particular to know that they can do it. This might inspire them to take the leap. Now my question for you is why did me pointing out she was a female bother you to the point where you felt compelled to leave this comment?
@@imanthonytv I wasn't bothered. I thought commenting was ok on your channel? I live in CA, and there are a ton of female professional truck drivers. I wasn't aware that being a CDL driver was such a leap for females. Should I start a youtube channel about becoming a kindergarten teacher and tell males not to be afraid about becoming a kindergarten teacher and take that leap? No because that is ridiculous, I just think it's 2024, not the 1950s. And being a female professional truck driver isn't surprising anymore. Thanks for the reply, maybe I misunderstood you. Love the videos.
@jyc215 Teaching is a ridiculous comparison to trucking. Trucking is obviously a male dominated industry so to see more ladies becoming truck drivers is great to see in my opinion. How many female fuel haulers do you see on the road? My guess is not many. That in itself could inspire more women to consider doing that particular job. That’s exactly why I wanted to emphasize the fact that she’s a female.
@imanthonytv The comparison is the same. Teaching is obviously a female dominated occupation, so to see more dudes becoming kindergarten teachers would be great to see, in my opinion. How many males do you see teaching 5 yr olds? My guess is not many. That in itself could inspire more men to consider doing that particular occupation. That’s exactly what compelled me to comment and emphasize why it's not that big of a deal.
You’re still missing the point. The video is about fuel hauling. It’s one thing to be a female truck driver but to be a female fuel hauler is even more rare. I don’t mind acknowledging that on my channel.
I personally think the whole “bomb” notion that I hear every so often is ridiculous. How often do you hear of tanker explosions caused by accident? You’re more likely to have a fatal car accident than going out from a tanker explosion.
Having done P&D and Fuel - the schedule is better in P&D but 20-30 stops per day, lift gates, broken fright, heavy freight, etc. is a real pain. Not to mention dockwork, that’s hell. Fuel is way better.
@@MrsCeeMoe Haha! Indeed, bro. I learned real quick to check all of my skids, and re-route myself. No one ever said shit. I didn’t care if it took an extra hour of the day, cause it would’ve taken that long to offload the freight in the way and reload it anyways. Sometimes I had to double-back to areas and didn’t care cause fuuuuck spending all of my energy at my first few stops rearranging all of that shit. Especially when skids were 3k lbs and all I had was a manual pallet-Jack. Fool me once……
