Unironically there's more to seed -0 being seed 0 Since the coding is based on binary 2s complement the lowest seed number has an absolute value of one more over the highest seed value, hence why Squiddo messed up If 1s complement was used in stead there would be a world -0 and the absolute value of the lowest and highest seed number would be the same

I don’t know if anybody has said this here before, but the reason Minecraft didn’t always let you into seed 0 is that the value for that text box being empty used to be 0, so when it would check for an empty text box, it would see 0 as empty and randomize the seed.

when you change versons in a world it can automatically set the seed to 0 so thats probably how you've seen this before

have you ever been to the combined biome world? apparently theres a seed (idk which one) that has inverted biomes -- basically, it has biome features going over the land of other biomes

Find a BEDROCK EDITION seed called "Nuzlocke." It ORIGINALLY looked like a Mesa with dead bushes/alliums connecting to a plains forest. This was at 1.16 so expect some differences.

My sister has also generated the same world twice! The shape of the terrain was the same, but the trees were in different places. This was way back around 1.4-1.5, before sister seeds were patched. Sister seeds came in sets of 2^16 seeds, so generating two worlds with the same heightmap was 65536x more likely than generating two identical worlds. I believe that's what happened. It was freaky. The old world, which had been lost to corruption, was dear to her.

The world you were in before for death downgrade might have been a sister seed, which I’m not sure if they exist or not, but pretty much they are seeds that are almost identical to another seed

I don't know if I've already said this or if someone else has said this but... The reason why old MC takes you to a random world when you put in 0 is because before whenever you didn't put a seed in it would treat the seed as "0" and the coding would bring you to a random world because to the game that's what 0 means, it means "null" and the game treated it as "I have to bring this player to a random seed". Later versions patched this bug out and now you can visit seed 0 without inserting "pollinating sandboxes" because now if you don't enter anything as the seed the game doesn't treat the seed as "0".

Your use of Wilfre's theme at 5:10 definitely caught me by surprise. I haven't played Drawn to Life since, what, 2010? It was a pleasant surprise :)

seed 0 was probally due to the fact that 0 is == to an empty string. and since whenever minecraft gets an empty string it randomizes it it just treated 0 as one too. but there was no code actually perventing you form going to seed 0 or kicking you out due to it. 0 was just a normal world just like every other normal world.

There's plenty of other seeds with same layout, much like with other possible world layouts, so there's a chance of getting same world with a different seed

I got seed 0 from my ps3 when i tried making new worlds and that ended up crashing almost in the most funky way possible always.Like a glitchy force always approach towards you screen and then crashes closing the world and possibly closing the game.

There’s actually another shadow seed recently. The bedrock edition seeds, all is different from versions is the structure generation.

Technically -0 and +0 don't exist because in math it's considered to be none of them, therefore making it a neutral number, now that is just basic integers. Example: A scale of 1-10 is a level based systematic, they can be negative or positive. Lets just say you pick 0 for some odd reason, they would consider this neutral and it wouldn't contain a positive or negative symbol. I usually consider it like this symbol (+/-) But It's used in the other stage of integers in math.

when you downgrade a world at a certain version, i think when you downgrade it to 1.13, you get out into seed 0, that's the explanation

Basiclly reason -0 and 0 are the same is on a number line, -1 and 1 would be 3 apart (-1, 0, 1) but -0 to 0 are on the same point. Therefore -0 is 0.

I played in the non shadow version of the first shadow map you showcased and im stuned by that :0

Fun math fact: World -0 is world 0 because 0 is a number that's both positive and negative at the same time, wich is also why -0 is mathematically impossible.
