Yeah the modifier "allied bombing" persists until you cap them all (literally all you fought against). I played 12th of April date with all modifiers (i did the missions) and i faced the same problem with it staying after i got the off German territory. But still i pulled off a world conquest from just schleswig-holstein territory. Also good job for doing it with the missions.

0:22 There is a RU-vid video where someone played 27 April 1945 and won. I also (a small normal hoi4 player) did it. I won't lie, it's extremely difficult, and it is extremely high RNG dependent, but it is possible. Later in the game, you have a chance where the soviets and the allies and up in a war. After that, if you manage to take the Allied territories, the game is already won. I almost forgot to mention that I have 137 saves from that campaign as proof if you, @Bitt3rSteel, need.

I like that bits of your set up are to not fall for my mistakes 😂 the falling back to the Rhine was the major one for me, couldn't get back across. Should of warned you about the allied bombing debuff, I tested it after to see what land is required to get rid of it but I could never get it to disappear, must be bugged or not set up correctly

Anything flying will be ME262. That is configured as Heinkel 162 :) Atlantic wall remains on the West were uboat bases. I think Liepaja was a port and uboat base IRL. Pilau and Konigsberg had ports even before WW1.

So I've tried the April 27th start date. I can see why people don't think it's winable. So far my best run has 3 main "pockets". I have the Hamburg hold which is doing quite well at holding on, but as I chose to have my HQ in the alps, it doesn't get any fuel so I can never break out unless I retake a port on the med. I have the Latvian pocket which I managed to build a port so there's some supplies. It's holding fine. Then I have the big one. In the alps I hold from the Wels, Regensburg to the Swiss border following the river. So far staying alive is very easy to do once you've made it into September. But I don't see myself making turning the situation into a win. There just isn't enough fuel. Perhaps trying to hold only the north could work. But there wouldn't be as many building slots to build refineries & that's allot of equipment lost to the south. Maybe losing Hamburg temporarily to make Munich the capitol for enough time to delete the whole of the southern army could work. But I'll keep playing this run before trying anything like that.

6:04 Centralized control does not make all your missions perferm better they improve the mission efficciency of your planes so if they dont cover the zone 100% it helps with that

Its better to use engine 4s in the modern jet aircraft in this scenario. The AI never builds jets, and its cheaper, you have better range, and better fuel consumption, to do it that way. And the 27th of April Scenario is possible, you just have to delete your divisions as your capital shifts around, and once your capital is in the north, you want to hold there.

Castlereagh has done the battle of berlin scenario with all debuffs and kind of won, he made a video on it. after 9 hours he was still in poland but france was retaken. By the time he ended, he was in a much better place and probably could have won

I think these werent parts of the atlantic wall but u boot harbours that were hard to attack so they just encircled them. They capitulated only at the end of the war

I wonder if allied bombing hasn't gone away due to some axis member or something having a german core maybe? Like Italy has South Tyrol, and germany might also have cores on part of their Netherlands puppet, Vichy, or maybe even neutral Switzerland. Those cores might be wrongly included in the surrender limit calculation, or the modifier check if it actually is lying and isn't using surrender progress.

I tried doing this and camping in schlesvig and holestein(I capped in 1948 bc of the nukes whoch dropped my war support) but the ai you fought aginst on the west was way less agressive

Just imagine the allies in 1945 just slowly pushing into Germany after winning the battle of the Bulge thinking the war is over and then Germany just pushes back every front, defeats France again, pushes the Italian front back, invades the Soviets and then naval invaded Britain… All I gotta say is there would be some very shocked people on both sides.

Mods like this actually opens the door for a lot of alternate history regarding the decisions of the allies. First of all, Sweden actually had plans on declaring war on the Axis in order to make sure that Denmark didn't fall into Soviet hands. The plan was supposed to come to fruition in late May, but it didn't go anywhere as Germany had already surrendered at that point. Secondly, a prolonged war in Europe would've meant that the USA would've likely used its two nukes on Germany instead of Japan, prolonging the war in Asia and forcing America to prepare for a massive invasion of the Japanese mainland.

When you use anti tank, do you ever find that you actually recover more armour when using maintenance or whatever on the defensive? Or does anti tank simply destroy the armour and you recover less (or none at all)?

Maybe the real endsige is the friends we made along the way
