Join me as I take you through my incredible journey to the iconic Key Monastery, a spiritual gem nestled in the breathtaking Spiti Valley of Himachal Pradesh. Perched at an altitude of 4,166 meters (13,668 feet), this 1000-year-old monastery is one of the largest and most important centers for learning Buddhism in the region. With its mesmerizing architecture, ancient murals, and serene atmosphere, it was like stepping into a timeless world.
After exploring the monastery, I set out on a challenging trek uphill to a vantage point that offered a spectacular aerial view of the monastery and the entire valley. The trek was tough but rewarding, with every step taking me closer to an unforgettable panoramic view of this awe-inspiring location. The sight of Key Monastery, surrounded by the rugged beauty of the Spiti landscape, was truly humbling.
