As a Goten main, this brings me immense joy. Should use the man himself for a video sometime, yeah he's a midget so he has the monumental problem that is bad range, but if you know how to use him a certain way he genuinely cooks, he doesn't even need to use cheese as an ingredient in the recipe and always seems to do more damage than he should.

I think ki stun is not as cheap as u think. It stopped the charge attack on the hit player and it can catch people who spam that roll back attack if you time it right.
I mean when a single button is just the answer to everything besides cancer, i think it’s broken. Wanna start a combo? Ki stun. Wanna get out of your combo without getting punished? Ki cancel. Wanna extend a combo? Ki stun. Your opponent is guarding? Ki stun, step, ki stun, step until they crack. Ki stun and perfect blocking are about equal. They’re not toxic if you use them skillfully but how many people do that? I’d also say it’s way harder to punish a ki stun spammer because nothing to punish them really works online outside of playing timid which not everyone is willing to do that just to beat someone they can just kick and move on with their day
@@Zeral__ yeah, it’s broken when people use it to get out of combos, but it is a mechanic of the game. I just fly around or dash to try and avoid it (of course use it myself). He was painting them out like villains when he was using that charge lmao. I enjoyed the video anyway I’m just saying.
@@TheSmallweaponYou're comparing apples to oranges if you think him spamming Charge is the same as ki stunning/canceling. Ki spam has no ki drain, can hit from just about any range, does not lock you into any animation at any point, works as both a pressure and escape tool for some reason, no downtime on when you can use it again, can be extremely hard to punish (especially thanks to bad netcode), and invalidates the use of skills that serve a similar purpose. Only downside i could see is that ki spamming does barely any damage, but that's miniscule when you can ki stun from long range and then quickly move in for an easy super god fist. As for the whole "it's a mechanic" thing. There's more evidence to the contrary, but whether or not that's true, that doesn't mean it's fair. Its a poorly designed mechanic at best and a huge oversight by the devs at worst. It benefits players who are timid more often than those on the attack. You can enjoy it if you want, but that won't change how this unintended mechanic has made the game more annoying and boring to play. And before you bring up why it's intentional, remember that the ssj3 stamina bug was something we all assumed was intentional by the devs for 7 years, until they said otherwise and fixed it. And let's not forget that giant namekians, hmmm hmmm hmmm super soul, self stamina breaking into super guard, Don't go all out super soul, petrifying spit into soul punisher, Cabba being just useless, imbalanced character roster, etc, etc, are also intentionally put into the game, but many would agree that a lot of this is poorly designed/balanced. Ki spamming may not be as bad as all that stuff, but that doesn't change how it's had a more problematic effect on the game.
@@TheSmallweapon The short version: Its fine for you to prefer ki tech stuff, but intentional or not, it is imbalanced as explained in my previous comment. People shouldn't be vilified for hating or liking it, but it or the combat system definitely needs a tweak so there isn't such a divide in the community.
