IMO, all four players are more or less equally deserving of the MVP. We've never seen anything like this; all four players are generational talents.

Nah Jokić is clear, Luka is 2nd in the race by far tho, idk how NBA ranks Luka 4th, that is madness.... But most VALUABLE player award is for the most impactfull and most important player for their own team. Remove Joker from Denver and they are barely play in team. There is no more important player for their own team than Jokić for the Nuggets, and that is the deffinition of most VALUABLE player. People can't realise that MVP is not the best scorer, the flashiest player etc ... Luka is great, and I'd be happy for him, same Joker, since I am Serb and Jokić is Serb, while Luka is half Serbian. So whoever wins from the two I am happy for them, but Jokić is the best player in the world and those are facts, even tho Luka is better scorer

@@morgan2552tthats cap. Mavs are the third worst injured team in the nba only behind them is grizzlies and Charlotte and see how those teams are doing. Luka is the only reason they are 4 games of 4th seed. He kept them afloat putting up ridiculous numbers. He is the very definition of mvp.

Mavs for example missed Kai for 22 games alone. That's more missed games than the entire OKC starting lineup combined this season. The main reason why OKC is performing well is because they had the least amount of injuries. Also Mavericks are 3-5 in games Luka didn't play. Putting that much focus on seeding record without even aknowledging this hard facts is just dumb. Clearly Mavs are on the same level as OKC and that's lowballing it

I’m defending my guy Shai from everybody saying we have the best supporting cast, when at the beginning of the season we weren’t suppose to be anywhere near where we are and the average age is like 24. Look at the league history of MVPs, Almost none of them have been lower than 5th seed, MVP Russ had one of if not the greatest regular season of all time and people were mad he won it cause his team finished 6th, Rn Luka's team is 6th i believe, But with how close the standings are there's a chance Luka doesn't even lock a spot in the playoffs, And will have to battle it out in the play-ins. Say that does happen and the Mavs get bounced out, Sorry but it would look ridiculous for an MVP to not even make the playoffs. Now with what Luka is doing and how well the Mavs are playing as of late, If they keep it up and Dallas makes it to like the 4th-5th spot, I think there's absolutely deserving of an MVP. But if they finish lower than 6th while guys like Jokic & SGA are still dropping the numbers they've been putting up and are at the top of the west, That'd honestly be more disrespectful to them than anyone if they gave it to Luka, His stats are most impressive, But compare to SGA for example who is putting up MVP numbers as well on what's literally a team full of rookies and is tied for #1 in the west. That's incredibly impressive as well. As of this moment, Based off how MVP voting has been working the past 20 years, Luka will not win MVP, If Dallas can at least clench a spot in the playoffs, Then i believe he has a great chance.

These stats are just cherry picked flawed bs at most and seem made up he’s been better on defense but is nowhere near as good as SGA who is also way ahead in emp and team has a better record. Advanced defensive stats still don’t love Luka. Also counting stats don’t mean everything Luka plays a heliocentric style where he has the ball all the time SGA lets his teammates do their thing and still gets his and makes sure they are winning. It’s a close race the Luka stans crowing him MVP right now because of flashy counting stats are super annoying

Obviously shai is better but we also have to remember, what 6’7+ players guard pgs? Luka is 240 he’s not moving with small guards but he’s actually pretty fucking food against forwards and he’s strong enough not to give up any ground vs players bigger than him. Shai gets to his spots but Luka is literally unstoppable offensively, shai will go down as a great offensive player when it’s all said and done Luka will be top 1-5 offensively all time he’s the most blitzed player in the nba and it’s not even close he’s faced more than 2x the double teams than the next player it’s insane he’s literally shooting and splitting doubles on a regular basis. Offensively it’s Luka and jokic a huge gap and then then everybody else. I love shai but he’s like a devin booker offensively he’s great and he gets to his spots with no effort but you can literally see it every time Luka is on the same court as these players he’s in a different league entirely. Individual defense isn’t a huge factor in player comps unless it’s a dpoy caliber player who can deadass shut an area or player down. If the mavs and thunder faced in the playoffs shais defense literally wouldn’t matter Luka and kyrie are going for 30 regardless we saw it even with a player like AD who actually is dpoy caliber his impact was erased because jokic was just so dominant saw the same thing with Luka vs kawhi, Lukas 2nd best player was thj and literally nobody else on the team could even dribble or create a shot vs a team who was considering a contender and a real threat to win the chip and his impact evened the playing field at 21 years old off his dominance alone. Could you ever see shai matching the opposing teams entire points single handedly in a game 7 on the road? No

Luka and Kai have only played 26 games together this season and the Mavs are the 6th seed and Luka is leading the league in scoring and is 1st in the league in post defense 5th in spot up, and 10th in Iso defense. SGA is nowhere near the playmaker that Luka is either. Sure he is a lethal scorer but he doesn't create for others the way Luka does and defense isn't an argument anymore

@@thebekgo1624 I don't think Luka is as good of an off-ball player or defender. Lukas catch and shoot isn't as efficient, he doesn't run to open spaces for the pass as much and when he receives the ball off a pass, he doesn't move immediately and stands there before making a move which makes things much harder. SGA is leading the league in steals, his defensive playmaking with his deflection and interceptions is far better, his off-ball defence is far better where he can run through screens and stay on his man far better and the only area I think Luka can compete defensively is isolation defending and specifically in the post.

Jokic is leading all in OBPM, DBPM, PER, and only .3 under Shai in win shares
