Hi I am male and have had a strange eating disorder for most of my life. I called it the closest names I could find in the past. Now I wonder if it is because of being Autistic. It has been discovered that eating disorders are common with Autism. Yes respect who you are. Making me think even more as to what is it all about.
Well said 💞 Holly. Body shame has been a big part of me. I would like to mention an older man Jay, who lives across the hall from me. He is way over average weight, wide beam and man boobs. He even walks to and from the laundry room on our floor in only his undershorts. Yet he is a favorite in the building with men and women. He is quick with a smile and bright eyes and hearty hellos. He is not afraid to be social, is quite good at it. He is the person I wish I was all my life at 6 foot 1 inch tall, 125 pounds and a 29 inch waist... good for a woman but not a man. He is an exception that does not disprove what you say, rather examples to all of us that the person inside should be more important than whatever body image we may have.
