I don't understand why people are commenting saying she's being pathetic or whiny. She's voicing her feelings on her own channel. I fully believe that the people that have nothing good to say and say it anyway, need to sort out your priorities and who you are as a person. As I watched your video I thought how genuine and thoughtful you are. That's a rare quantity in humans these days. Dude, 99% of the negative comments are from tweens that took one look at you, paused the video, and commented disgusting nonsense (sometimes literally a string of insults, like what even is grammar). There's nothing you can do about this, it's only going to get worse as your channel grows. All you can do is delete & block.

Everyone saying "it's her channel she can post what she wants"- well YES obviously she can. But people can also comment whatever they want. And they can watch whatever they want. This is the entire point of RU-vid. Saying "don't like it, don't watch/comment" is completely unrealistic and unproductive. The comments are not solely intended for praise, they are for comments and feedback good AND bad. In the same breath, If you don't like someone's comment, don't reply to it. It's all the same. It would be much better and productive to suggest a solution for Cassie (ie: a separate channel, comment mods, etc). Attacking people who have anything other then praise, especially of they're offering genuine feedback with good intention, is (once again) counterproductive, hypocritical, and only adds to negativity.

I have noticed this too. Compared to most other beauty vloggers, Cassie seems to get an astounding amount of hatred in the comments. Even comments that aren't bold faced insults, there is so much unnecessary passive-aggressiveness around here! Cassie obviously puts so so so much time and effort into this channel and she doesn't deserve this much negativity AT ALL. I see comments on here complaining about literally the tiniest details ever. She has a right to be defensive- she's defending herself! Stop picking on this girl who just wants to be happy and make videos for us all. Honest opinion. Since you have started doing more "non beauty related videos", like the mukbangs and live streams and such, I have found myself scrolling down my subscription feed past your videos. This could be because the reason I subscribed to you is to see your reviews, your honest unbiased opinion and thoughts on beauty products and hacks and routines. I went to your channel to unsubscribe today (I've been subscribed for about two years) and saw this video posted. I watched it. It's kind of funny because I didn't even realize how callous and cold my thoughts about you had been until I watched this. Sometimes, I think we forget the human being behind the lens. SO moving forward. You're still my go-to for all reviews, because I still trust you so much. I think I'll probably stay subscribed until you stop uploading. One thing that bothers me is when youtubers talk about how they're doing things FOR YOU. Right there is when the authenticity goes out the window. I wanna watch someone who's making a video because THEYRE in interested in the topic. ...and that's all. But I need to tell you that you are hands down, my most favourite youtuber to watch. You're funny, gorgeous, completely down to earth, slightly, wonderfully awkward (its a GOOD THING!) and someone that I would love to have as a friend. Your reviews are fantastic, in depth, interesting, reachable. You're completely yourself, you don't have this illusion of unattainable perfection, and you let us into your life in a way that feels wholly honest and intimate. OK Cassie I have listened to this and I'm just floored. This went from I'm not sure how to handle the comment section to you've done nothing wrong and no one appreciates anything you've done. You've gone so far as to saying, I've lost count in the video, "I've done x number of these but I guess it's not enough". You gained subscribers from your thrift videos in the beginning. But your larger subscriber base came from your honest reviews of make up. Not from your muc bang videos or any other videos. You actually tweeted once that you're channel was a review channel and yet you find it necessary to use the excuse when people don't like your muk bang videos that your channel has never been a make up channel. We have the same skin type, gone through the same personal and emotional struggles, and it provides incredible comfort knowing someone like yourself can keep going and pushing through all the hard times. I love the way you express yourself, I love the cussing, the no makeup pajama days and the fact you are nothing else but yourself. You make people like myself feel like we're just having a chat, like our own little catch up each week and after watching your video's I always feel positive about myself and my head space is a more positive one. I know there are people out there who are sad, who are lifeless and unfortunately down right horrible. But look past that and pay no mind, because when you see those horrible comments, you should laugh to think that someone has nothing else going for them to be so horrid. Don't let negative impressions change you or alter what you want for you or your channel. I know it's hard, but when you scroll through and see negativity, please try and think about all the people you've helped and all the experiences and laugh's we've shared with you along your journey. I didn't watch the whole video because I couldn't look at you being so sad for long, so i'll just say that you're one of my favourite youtubers and in your channel I find the most joy and realness. Staying your true self is so hard these days, the whole YT community is becoming a fake ass circus and you are different. I'm sure some people tell you stupid offensive things just because they're not used to this. I'm honestly really happy I found your channel.
