man, these motovlogs are taking me back to the days. it's really awesome getting to see you evolve as a person and still stay humble, sincere and driven. much love from me and mine to you and yours.
The first 7 minutes of this video hit hard for me. I've had so much shit going on for so long and I always end up stressing out it. It's hard for me to just sit back and really work things out to realize we have it pretty good and that we'll work things out one way or another. Idk how, but my little family has made it through some seriously difficult shit in the last 5 years. We seem to just keep our eyeballs above water and get a little time to breath before something else happens but we make it. I find myself thinking "one step forward, two steps back" but it's not always the case. Having someone by your side to help you push through those hard times is all you need most of the time. Your rant in the beginning hit the nail on the head, Dan. Thank you!
Bro I used to watch so many of your Moto vlogs late middle school and early high school and just graduated college this year, good to see your still doin these !
The beginning of this video had me rethinking my stress and shit. Then dan hits me with the "DID I MENTION I HAVE A GUN ON ME" i love this man. Thanks for everything dan. Keep doing you man!
I've been watching Dan since highschool and we're the same age, gone through alot of the same issues (at least of what he shows on youtube). He's helped me in times of boredom and sadness. I'm thankful that you haven't changed much for youtube. Keep working on your goals and good luck with the health issues. Glad to see you back doing some motovlogs and that bit at the end is one of you best!!! "S" tier quality 18:20. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
OMG! My dude! I have the same thing! whenever i'm anxious about something I always end up having a nightmare where I am back in high school in the middle SAT test and not knowing what to do. Then I wake up to realize I'm almost 30 and Ive got real life job to do haha
I feel exactly what you mean about wanting to go back. I'm currently transitioning from the simple part of my life, to the more busy and challenging chapter. As much as I'm going to miss the simplicity, this is the only way we grow as a people; by challenging ourselves.
Part of why I've always loved your content is because we've always been in similar places in our lives and it's so cool being able to relate, even with all the success you've found online. We also got a second dog when Covid first hit and he has been like raising a 180lb toddler. Like you said the stress is always there, but the stress is an indicator of the work you're putting in to succeed. The good times are the good times because you make the most of it, not because it's the easiest path. Keep up all the good work man
crazy to think that you graduated college in 2015, i remember watching your videos with the sharpie f4i and your 600rr back then when i was like 12. now i have a bike of my own, it’s jus crazy to me. so happy to see how far you’ve come bro ! keep killin it
as someone with MS...stress is a big issue. Heat is another, ask your neurologist about testing.. usually they sit you in a not tub and see what happens as your temperature rises.
I recently disconnected from social media (aside from RU-vid, cause I don’t watch tv) and it’s been a amazing to help manage anger, stress and distraction from family and life. It’s helped tackle the bs better and remove the drama. Getting older sucks especially as responsibilities grow.
I've literally never had a "damn I needed to hear this" moment in my life (that I can remember), and damn, I needed to hear this. Right now at this exact point in my life.
2023 has definitely sucked for me so far. Owed $10k in taxes and lost my job when I was trying to save money to pay my taxes on top of all the other smaller issues
Dude, I get it at one point my life I was homeless in the north Georgia mountains. Like 12 years later, I’m a homeowner and I have a kid and shits just all over stressful. Sometimes I miss only having to worry about finding food.
Dude I graduated college in 2003. I had that nightmare where I didn’t finish my degree and forgot my schedule last year. I’m not sure those dreams ever go away 😂
The thing on that tractor trailer was an AC unit. I work at the company that builds those were right by your shop. that unit was going to a wegmans grocery store in New Hampshire.
I tend to not like glocks either, but I tried a 43x and its pretty good for my hand, pretty much the smallest thing I can comfortably shoot and manipulate and has been my edc for about a year now and I love it
Fell away from Dan and his channel after I got majorly into firearms. Now I'm back since I got into the jeep world and realize how much I miss listening to your vids while I work. Glad too be back!
Oh Billy! This video made me remember the old days when I first started watching Dan and had the BMW and the Tacoma and made me remember the simple Motovlogs. This video took me back. ❤great to see you Danny boy
Prayers to your friend i know motorcycle accidents suck ive been in one and broke 6 bones and within 4 months i was back on another bike goin to physical therapy. All the love brother
Love your videos and i follow tou on everything my guy, ive been following you for a long time and get excited for any of your videos. Motovlogs, car builds, table builds lmao, i live them all. Youre by far my favorite youtuber. May the gods smile on you
I remember when Fast 9 came out and they’re were a bunch of memes about them going to space. I thought they were just memes until I actually saw the movie. Still can’t believe we went from spoon engines to space travel
Idk if youll see this but I have same issue with larger frame polymer pistols. I have found walthers tend to fit well especially with small backstrap options. seems to be very similar to VP/VP9
Used to watch Dan growing up before I was even old enough to ride, bought a bike last year and learned how to ride, thanks for being apart of my journey man, sadly a lot of the moto bloggers I watched most back in the day aren’t really in the game too much more either, you and 6foot4honda were my BOYS growing up
1:20 same feeling but I’m not so happy with life currently. Spent my adolescence trying to be an adult and didn’t appreciate the freedom while I had it. But getting better is just work 🤙🏽🤙🏽best wishes Dan
Follow up try out a ruger lc9. Own a couple and they have always shot well when I go out with them and are extremely comfortable and natural to hold. If you can deal with the capacity drawback of a single stack, I highly recommend to all my friends. Otherwise I carry a g26 most of the year (AZ boy)
All I wanna do is go back. Granted, life isn't as great right now. Got some not-so-easy-to-fix stuff going on, so my contentment has been non-existent for a long while. So I constantly want to go back to a time when things were less miserable.
Hey Dan! Just an idea, have you thought about adding a slim layer of felt or little rubber spacers or something to the back of the plate frames? To protect my paint, I run either a layer between the plate frame and my bumper or have little rubber spacers. Just an idea
Damn Dan. Woke up to you spitting some straight facts this morning. You were over here blowing my mind lol. I feel the exact same at this point in my life. I have everything I wanted but still never find true happiness because I stress my self out about everything.
I’ve been watching your channel since like 2014 ish, I always get excited to see what you’re up to. My adhd brain really connects with your style of chaotic story telling.
It is so wild. I have been watching you since before you graduated... You say that was in 2014... That is mindblowing dude. Thanks for the amazing times
I feel like you’ve made so much progress though. You’re healthy, you’re back on a sport bike, you have a business now, you’re keeping the C8, you’re going to race school.
dude the start of the video hit, moved out my first college house last night and walked the house completely empty, got this bit of heartache seeing my roommates empty rooms that moved to Texas. this "next chapter" garbage isn't very comforting.
I live in a coal mining town an the train tracks are running right next to the edge of our property, those fuckers never quit running, unless if it's Sunday.
hey dan. i've been watching your channel since like 2016 or so(highschool) - when i originally wanted a bike. Finally, since i'm 25 now- I purchased my first bike. (kawasaki ER6N) just wanted to say thanks for all you do!
I keep reminiscing about the good ol' days but trying to remind myself how great things are now. I have a family now, a business ive started, a steady schedule, and I don't have to worry about studying for a test anymore. Things are good, but there are more responsibilities now and that stress kinda makes me yearn for a more simple time. I don't want to go back...But I can't help but think about it sometimes. I hope you are happy and healthy bro! Keep up the awesome videos! PS: I am going to see Fast X, but because its mixed with a car show and friends. I wished they stopped a while ago though, its a little too much now. Gotta go to space with my Dodge Charger, to stop alien terrorist from blowing up earth, or whatever the plot is now. PSS: 12:40 - DEMONETIZED!!! 🤣
Its nice to See you back on the bike, im a viewer from Germany i was Watching you as a 17 year old all day and you Are the reason i Made my license and now im 26 with tow bikes, i Miss the magna 👍🏼
I would sit down and watch a 60 minute video of you shooting your various pew pew’s at the range to be honest! Also we need an updated every day carry video!
Hey Dan! I just bought a Sar 9 Mete not too long ago. Came with a red dot, really good deal for a good pistol. I've ran it a couple of times and it's been great!
THIS is the Dan I miss. I'll be honest I stopped watching your vids awhile ago because it got kind of painful to have all this random content shoved down my throat all the time and I was skeptical to click on this video, but I'm sure glad I did. Back to basics, love it!
Hey Dan I just want to say thank you for your content I haven't been a everyday watcher but when I was younger I always wanted to ride you are one of the min reasons I got into riding I got a 2015 vulcan for my first bike and I just recently upgraded to a 2020 Honda fury and it is the best thing I have ever done
Didn't get a good look at that fema 18 wheeler but it looked like a trailer for portable bathrooms for movies sets and stuff. There was one at megalopolis when I was working on Set there. Never knew they existed lol.
It's age, I think. Because I know what you mean. Ironically, I came back for my PhD after several years in industry and I miss industry. But I know exactly what you mean, it's looking back with those rose tinted glasses you mention, there was less velocity. As you age the days get longer, but the years move faster.
A good Ol' motovlog, talking about thoughts of daily life and it's issues. It honestly warmed my heart. Only do it when you feel like though, otherwise it won't be legit
I've been watching u since I was 16. I'm now 21 Dan and I bought my first ever handgun. It's a m&p shield compact 9mm. If you like cheap reliable guns that are good feeling. Id highly recommend you that. It's smooth. The trigger is a little bit gritty and it only has 7 rounds (8 with a plus 1 extender) so it's basically a ankle gun. I got it used for 350. Their bout 400 brand new
Hard to believe i have been watching your vids for ten years now. Lawn mower vlogs you two up with Laura. Now i ride and its due to you. Thanks Dan. Hey would love to see some vids with you and chase or you and Jake. The groups vlogs where always my favourites
There’s always one guy who always lays on the horn one of my friends live next to tracks and one time this train came through and dude literally held the horn wide open for over a minute
Iv been craving the simplicity again! got involved in too many hobbies and trying new directions in life, now im 30 and confused. mid life crisis at 30 is real
I’m an engineer for bnsf out in Kansas, sounds like you live next to a side track used for locals lol. I always lay on the horn in some areas because there’s assholes who stand on the track playing chicken. PS I always honk for the folks who ask
I have times these days where I wish I could go back and just do my thing with my boys buttttt on the flip side I can't see being with out my wife kids and dogs. Love the moto vlogs and chit chats.
THANK YOU! While I appreciate how Glocks were developed, and their engineering, I too find they just don't fit the hand well, and have no fun shooting them. So, I've never entertained the notion of owning one. I'll bet, the legion of "Glocksters" don't know the gun does not fit their hand either, because they bought one solely because having a Glock is so popular. Most of these people never fired a pistol that correctly fits their hand size and shape, but will tell you that the Glock is the best gun they ever shot. I can't tell you how many grips I go through, until I find the one that molds my hand to the pistol. I've a 5 gallon bucket of grips for 1911's, S&W revolvers, 6 in there for my Pythons, and include about 2 dozen for the AR15's. I even have the hand carved, from a single block of Buffalo horn, grips for a Dan Wesson built, High Standard Sentinel .357. Lordy how I wish I still had that very very accurate little beastie.
