@@Senshi00 thats the point, the archetype released last year, got 2 waves of support and it did absolutely nothing, while Fiendsmith hasn't even been released and it is already miles better than it with half the amount of cards
It was actually weird that it had an actual set strategy of kill by 9k through an upstart and then the second wave came out and made everything make less sense.
The fact they don’t have restrictions really is gonna be a problem eventually. The level 6 searching the token spell sanctus gives you an 1 card high king caesar and neither card locks you into fiends
It'll be interesting, though with this archetype as a starter you can't search for your other fiends since it limits searches to light in particular. Unchained is multiple attributes and none of them are light.
I really like this trend of the searcher being a fusion spell in gy, probably the best thing they can do for fusion decks without having it becoming another branded style dies to ash deck, but with infinitely less support

You can combine the Magical Musketeer with Fiendsmith and a small Yubel package designed to bring out the Yubel promo so we can negate Ash Blossom and force Max to go off.
This magic is support fabled, add fabled grimro discard any card, grimro search any fabled, in runick fabled search cerburrel or kruz to use from hugin extended cerburrel or kruz from spam summons.
Josh. With the Fusion monster. If your opponent stacks a chain with multiple face-up cards you can add the Fusion to end of the chain to negate multiple cards. It will definitely come up when you play into fields or when your opponent is trying to break your field.
I was testing a small engine of this in purrely for the lols. 3 Fiendsmith, 1 sanctus, 1 requiem and 1 wave high king caesar. 2 extra interuptions on a normal purrely endboard. Edit: Can side a beatrice, transaction rollback and the shiranui trap for a turn skip. So they stop the turn skip and you just play normal purrely.
Assuming you can reliably make and equip the big fusion I'd say the trap is perfectly fine. Its searchable so you don't need to play multiple if you don't want to, its high impact when activated and if you are able to hold the links negation it should be fairly reliable as a board wipe. Alone thats not quite there for a trap but the graveyard effect being able to function as removal or a different means of equipping the links kind of gets it there
Problem is most of the time you kinda have to search for another cards like the token for the combo instead of the trap so even tho it's technically searchable it's not the thing you would search for unless you already opened your other 2 target.
Going 2nd Fiendsmith/Musketeer might be nuts , link into the vrains ,then go into max , then max effect , then u can use max as the material for Fiendsmith Link, then go into fusions , not bad
If Fiendsmith is gonna do much, there is gonna need to be new waves of support to other synergistic decks, or they other new LIGHT Fiend archetypes. Coz right now your options are: - Some Fabled - Magical Musket - Vanity’s - Archfiend Eccentrick - Evil Twin Kisi-Kil and Evil Twin Trouble Sunny. - Some Kuriboh retrains
just gave yubel EZ wave high king caesar and only need Sharvara. Yubel deck will be EXTREMELY consistent after LEDE & Phantom of Yubel drop. Turn 1 board looking nice

I mean I think the traps fine in the current format especially, wiping the field with fire king island up is huge, island will pop any floaters that recur which seems good
Problem with the trap wasn't that it wasn't good, the problem is that you only have 1 spell/trap searcher which you'll used to search for another cards to do the combo so until we see another searcher the trap will probably not see play.
lovely another archetype without any restrictions that ppl will find ways to abuse in any other deck except that one it was meant to be used at.. just what the game needed 👌👌
I think magical musketeer is the bes deck for this cause u can target 1 magical musketeer monster with the trap, cann trigger the effect and still keep cards in hand an use them from hand. Its rly cool the deck with magical musketeer and maybe this deck go tier 1 depend on banlist
Tho you didn't say it this time, I was waiting for this video just to repeat something you said some months ago: bonus effects when you go 2nd are too cool and this archetype has plenty of them. Outside of the game, Tractus being LITERALLY Ground Xeno but BETTER is absurd for the price it will reach...
I like the Fiendsmiths, I just feel there aren't a lot of good Light Fiend cards to play this with. You could play Magical Muskets and the board could look like the big fusion, Beatrice (Transaction Rollback and Ghost Meets Girl sent) and a Magical Musket plus however many spell/trap cards you draw for turn, but I just feel thats kinda inconsistent even with the Light Fiend ROTA. As for Live Twin, the banishing and shuffling of cards hurt the main strategy of keeping the Twins in grave. Fabled sadly aren't all Light Fiends, so yea. Overall, I like these cards. It's just an issue of finding a home for it.
@FujisakiChihiro55 you might be right, I just feel that's such a shame for an arguably cool deck to just end up as an Adventure 2.0 engine. Also, I messed up reading the spell, it doesn't banish the material, just the spell card. It's actually a lot better.
The level 6 by itself is a generic 1 card Beatrice or Wave King that doesnt take your normal summon or lock you into anything btw. This is gonna see a lot of generic play.
While it is nice that this engine insulates ya from Nibiru and can even bait an Ash Blossom, ya still lose to every other hand traps that currently sees play be it in the Main or Side deck
