You should make another video about you playing as the bosses, I think some were sad to not see all of them ( crazy hand and giga bowser mostly) there might be bonus content about that, so tell me if there is because i am becoming a member soon.

The fact that a tech like this exists opens so many more possibilities for Ice Climbers players. I messed around with it in training mode, and apparently I initiated a Nana smash attack just by hitting another grab button while holding down A. It's definitely gonna make desyncs easier.

Ice climbers are probably the only other character that has a chance of being banned because they could find something that breaks the game 😂

They would just ban the tech not the character. The players are just cowards who are afraid of Steve instead of banning him just limit his options.

@@isgamer-8732You cant really ban Steves options what are you gonna tell them to do not combo or do setups? Its easier for someone like Ice Climbers because its a specific tech

@@isgamer-8732With some of the Steve stuff, it can be hard to discern if the tactic was even used sometimes. That hitstun cancel thing was a case where it can be surprisingly difficult to see it happen, because of how dynamic hitstun is. For example, at lower percents, did Steve actually escape with that technique or was the hitstun just too low to naturally combo at that percentage? Combine that with the sheer QUANTITY of tricks Steve has, there's bound to be a point where it's just easier to ban the character and save everyone the headache of extreme moderation of all Steve matches at tournaments than to ban the entire book of Wacky Steve Tricks.

@@kingbbqchicken you could probably ban using blocks to block recoveries by placing a block right in front of the ledge off stage. Most characters can't even recover through dirt blocks and will just fall to their deaths. At the very least leave that one spot at ledge open, would make Steve a lot less annoying to fight and also make watching him slightly more interesting because you wouldn't be watching the lamest edge guard ever. I'm not saying that Steve should not* be allowed to put blocks there I'm just saying he shouldn't be able to do it to block recoveries. If the block was already there then who cares but if you get hit off stage by Steve and then a single dirt block stops your recovery its pretty annoying. I'm fine with blocking high recoveries with blocks though, that doesn't stop them it just forces them to recover low.

For the rob laser into back air, i think it would work better with the opponent father onto stage, not on the very edge. On the very edge, the front of the laser tends to hit first, sending away from rob, but if the opponent is a little farther, the tail of the laser will hit after deflecting, instead of the front, sending backwards.

If you go frame by frame at 3:11 and at 3:26 (on the successful hits that can combo), it looks like the beam does a full 180 for just a single frame or so when it first hits the stage, extending the hitbox further towards the stage. I think that this is how mario gets hit from so far away, combined with the hurtbox extension of fireball. My guess is that it has to do with the way the game detects the collision and then calculates the new angle.
