This game is extremely fun! I highly recommend playing it in magaman mode where dying just sends you back to the level select screen, at least until you beat the game and understand how different builds work. The Memoria currency is used for the equivalent of the mirror in Hades, upgrading things between runs to make future runs easier. The nuts currency is the equivalent of Obols that are spent during your run on upgrades and don't carry over to future runs. For upgrades, several types. There's general Augment items that apply overall buffs, Repros are replicants that act as a companion that floats along beside you and does various things, and you also have 4 body part 'cores' (head, torso, arms and legs) that can each have enhancements applied to them and give a bonus for wearing a matching set. The amount / strength of the core enhancements you can equip is limited by your available core points, which you start off with a certain amount and can upgrade over time (using temporary in-run buffs as well as permanent 'mirror' buffs). Stronger core enhancements cost more points to equip, so you have to mix and match which ones you use throughout your run as you pick up better ones to replace what you have. I would love to see you deep dive this game, it's a lot of fun to watch and play, and I think you'll really enjoy it as you understand the nuances more.
Purchasing a Steam Deck unlocked the ability for me to finally play this perpetually early access game. Great fun! Love that you’re giving it a go Haelian!
Young me would have called you a wizard if you could beat more than one stage in a row in any of the old Mega Man games. As much as I liked them, I was NOT good at them as a kid. 😂
"Stop game let me play! I just want to play!" STOP JUMPING INTO THE VOID AND HITTING ACID! EDIT: It looks decent. I'm rather burnt out on roguelikes though.
@@anthonygarland8839 A cool month later, but there are a FORM of weakness. Each weapon has a unique thing it does in the boss battles, such as the whirlwind destroying black holes, the shield destroying Echobeast's shots making it a lot easier to dodge his other attacks, and one of Ace's abilities can instantly destroy the shield generators in Zen Primus' boss battle. So not "deal more damage" weaknesses, but things that make bosses easier to deal with are there.
Unfortunately the 20XX was better ... It has it's own style and supports 2 players ... This one they tried to make it as close as it could get to mega man ... Though it's still nice
