Ironic, how instead of what u thought, i had the impression this song is a confirmation of the exact opposite - a testament 2 a nightmare that will never end...for it feels just so eerie and calm this track..as if the protagonist has accepted he can never truly escape this place..there just standing there idlely..embracing his fate...embracing his destiny....there...as he stares at that lifeless wet tarp.. that lifeless wet corpse. There..all alone..

I'm a huge fan of a Silent Hill ambience and these gloomy mysterious soundtracks.But this one hits different. I'm having a tough time in my life rn and all I do is pray and try not to lose a hope. The title 'This nightmare will end soon' was like a sign for me that sooner or later everything will change for the better and this darkness full of misery will be changed to the light

I listen to a ton of ambience, I think there is something particularly interesting in how it helps me think. This said, your mixes are by far the best I've listened to. You capture the theme of the game, but make it new, yet same. No idea how you work this magic. Very well done.

Thank you for the ambience! This is still the most genious and memorable opening in a videogame I have ever experienced. Final Fantasy X has an amazing one as well, but "Silent Hill 1"'s still no. 1. 2 weird nightmare types Iv had many times returning. 1. Being lost in the woods by evening/night time. Then animals like wolfs or bears are nearby. short after they find me and starts chasing me. 2. Im playing a retro game like Tibia and enters unknown zones. Then I randomly falls into some hole with monsters. And I can never find a way back up. Always die.

I appreciate these videos so much. I'm a horror writer and I listen to this sort of music every night while I write. There aren't millions of people in the world who sit around listening to these tunes, but for us few who do, it is quite special. Those of us here know the terror of wandering Silent Hill and Resident Evil, lost in the fog and gore, only to stumble upon a safe room where we can feel just a moment of relief in such a grim place.

I have no idea. Maybe Konami had an exclusive deal with Sony for Silent Hill at the time. I think you could find some informations online about that.

Because Capcom give a damn about their legacy and Konami do not. Maybe if Silent Hill 2 sells well... But it's not like we expect an actual good remake from them and Bloober, so even if they do it, it's hardly anything to get excited about.

@@user-cq5sg9cb4t it's a shame because alot of us younger gamers only introduction to silent hill is silent hill acension witch is a bad game and we new ganers cannot play the other games sue to no ports to modern gaming systems unlike resident evil 1,4 and 5 that is accesiable on at least 4 game systems.this game came out in 99,if it was at least accessible on the game cube on ps3,we would know it exist at least because some of our uncles keep those older systems and pass them down to us its really sad.

@@midwichmusic but it's not on ps3 or ps4 either.im told silent hill is the og of psychological horror but it's one of the hardest game to try and play.i have access to ps3 and played sh2 and is currently playing silent hill 3 but this game is impossible to play on console and I dont have the time to try and set it up or find a pc that will.allow me to do so.at least all the resident evil games can be played on ps4,wish the other silent hill games were the same.
