Hey guys, I'm on vacation right now hence why I haven't been posting as much lately but I did take some equipment to make videos in my spare time. Not recording on my usual desktop setup though so apologies for a slight decline in video quality. This team was super cool and I knew I had to try it out so hope you enjoy - miss you all!
Aaron still out here with the mind reads... His ability to correctly call the back pokemon AND exactly when they want to switch in is always astonishing.
For anyone wondering about the Glimmora calc since Aaron didnt show it after the game here it is: 36+ Atk Glastrier High Horsepower vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Glimmora: 176-208 (92.6 - 109.4%) -- 50% chance to OHKO
@@asglelele to be fair, Glimmora never lives that without a defense boosting nature. It is a guaranteed K.O. without it, even if you are max HP, max Def
I absolutely love the videos where you run into such unique teams, makes it even funnier here when your running an anti meta team and not running into the heavy meta teams. Live the content as always
So the general idea here is a turn 1 click on the video and then Cybertron having super-effective moves like “Entertain” and “Inform” just puts so much pressure on you to keep watching that you really have no control, right. Then you couple that with his hidden ability “VGC Goat” and you can see why there’s just no stopping this combo… 😅 In seriousness you’re the absolute best man keep up the amazing work 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻
QOTD: Reg F is an absolutely crazy format in a good way, it feels like the meta is changing and evolving so fast, with so many viable Pokémon and archetypes, it really feels like everything is viable and I’ve never seen so many weird teams succeed, both in major tournaments and online ladder. Feels like the perfect format to cap off before we head into the chaos that’s going to be a restricted format.
I loved seeing that coaching Zapdos-G in game 3. Lately, I've had my mind on an upcoming restricted format and I really fell in love with the concept of coaching/tailwind Defiant Zapdos as a partner for Zacian, to dissuade and punish intimidate plays. Glad to know someone else was cooking something similar.
Prankster Screens + Set up feels like such a signature of the Japanese style to me. I wonder if it's because there are fewer open team sheet events on the Japanese circuit, and perhaps this means players really find a lot of value in the extra bulk and in having ways to slow down the pace of the battle and scout for what your opponent will do, heal off damage and that sort of thing.
G-Moltres and Glastrier, two of my all-time faves, on the same team?! It's like the SwSh days! Very cool QOTD: Reg F has been awesome, maybe my favorite of SV. So many viable strats
*Q.O.T.D: Regulation-F, which I just saw another Comment noting about seeing bizarre Team structures, has been quite a rollercoaster. Trying to expect SOME expectations to unexpected combos, dealing with the Paradox - Sacred Beasts, and continuing to try and climb the Rankings is always fun but unnerving. (This said I’m climbing through Great Ball - Tier currently, yet the Match-Up’s lately have still been nuts.)
i remember playing into this team in the GC, i won because i had archaludon and struggle bug/fake tears on illumise which seemed to be a very good matchup surprised to see it feature here, glad they got to perform so well!
Oh, I've recently ran into that team on PS, it was very intriguing. Unfortunately I didn't see much of it, since I just happened to have a strong matchup into it with my oddball team, but it seemed fascinating Great to see it now here :)
I know it’s niche but like…more shinies/variants/regionals/paradoxes/whatever you wanna call them going forward that look like the originals so people are slightly thrown off their game if they aren’t fully paying attention to pregame sheets/designs. Been seeing multiple videos with these birbs and their shinies and I’m like “wow, I’m liking these new designs; why is Zapdos on the ground?” And then I realize the obvious. But I’m thinking if we get newer mons with similar designs to originals…I mean, the ONLY difference between Kantonian and Alohan Geodude line is the mustache. THE MUSTACHE.
I'm surprised you didn't expect it to be a ting lu carry comp given the comfey. Like, what else does it really exist to heal on that team if not a boosted ting lu? Was impressive you pulled out the switch read to win regardless.
44:17 I’ve been tempted to build a sun team and when picking a prankster sun setter, I noticed Riolu had coaching as well, i am tempted tbh, just haven’t decided if the teams gonna be physical or special, or just mixed lol
(Still building my sun team lol) I’m glad to see Sableye being used here! I don’t have the DLC so my options for my team are kind of limited, maybe I can get some new mons from GO or Online raids, but for now I’m trying to build with what I do have, & Sableye is both a Pokémon I like, & a prankster Sun setter, so this team is definitely a lesson I’ll be taking, thanks for showing it off mate!
QOTD: the constant shifts in the meta and the breathing room that mons are finally getting to allow them to shine makes reg f easily one of my current favourite formats :)
u look so crazy good in these past videos, straight out of a kpop group xD not a fan of kpop, but can't denie that you're even more handsome than u used to be
Well this is certainly a very odd team😂 but I will not argue with results. Confey + G-moltres seems like a very cool combo Btw, does somebody know how good is G-slowking in the meta rn? I had been hunting for a shiny one and I got curious
I think it *can* work, but is outclassed by other snow and trick room setters. That said, it does have some neat tools available to it, so in a right team it definitely can do things. Maybe accompanied by Articuno and some big hitter in the back to be switched in by chilling reception or something?
very interesting set of games besides the last one. i assume they just didnt respect quash or comfeys healing. i remember my 1st time against comfey i didnt know its ability gave it priority on healing moves. so i attacked the other pokemon anyway expecting it to not get healed before i attack
Got home late, but to my surprise there was an Aaron Cybertron Zheng video to fly me to my rest. Team looks straight fire, with two of my favorites. Can't wait to try it.
Qotd: honestly kinda hate reg F. It might as well be a restricted format with how strong power creep has become, I can't wrap my head around the play style required for the format and it's just not fun constantly feeling like my head is spinning. Won't even deny it's a skill issue, doesn't mean that it isn't fun for me though.
Hello, i have a question. Why can Rillaboom use taunt on Sableye? I thougt Sableye is a dark type Pokemon and that means taunt doesn't work? Can someone explain that? Thank you
Hey. Dark types are only immune to taunt if it is used by a Pokemon with the ability Prankster. Since Rillaboom does not have that ability. Taunt works into dark types
