I am a competitive Pokémon VGC player. In my years of competing, I've won five Regional Championships and two National Championships. I also placed 3rd at the 2013 World Championships and 8th at the 2012 World Championships. Throughout my career, I've qualified for nine World Championships.
I am also a commentator for the Pokémon Company International and have casted several major tournaments, including the 2016, 2018, and 2019 World Championship Finals.
I started uploading on RU-vid in 2014 to spread my knowledge and love for Pokémon VGC. I focus on high level, in-depth analysis & commentary to help my viewers improve. I hope you can learn something from me while you're here!
Last opponent had a really crazy interesting anti meta team, hope you bring teams like that to the channel, I was kinda hoping for him to win the match
Rage powder shedinja would be hilariously busted. More realistically, rage powder charjabug, and maybe let vikavolt keep battery as an ability option when it evolves.
I’m a huge Alex Underhill fan and this team is incredibly clever. It’s basically a trick room core and then a bunch of techs to beat the things that usually best trick room
oh nice to see AJ (foiledfeline) shouted out! they're a really talented player and teambuilder, and an awesome local who's helped me with rides before :)
Kinda new to competitive pokemon so might be a noob question but does feint “break” detect, protect, wide guard for instances when doubling up or does it just bypass it for electabuzz
I will never have a critique on Cybertron because he is so, so incredible for the community. However, can all poketubers please…PLEASE, start calling amoongus, when pluralized, as in more than one, as amoongi. “That tournament was tough, so many amoongi.” Just fun to say!
I feel like trying to reset Trick Room in game 1 wasn't the best play. Sure, the Covert cloak is a pretty unfortunate surprise ; but LO / Magnet Raging bolt doesn't seem crazy in a sun team. Thus I think Follow me + Glacial lance was an almost 100% win. Your Smeargle was still full life with its sash, and if I'm not mistaking you were at +2 after killing Chi-yu and Koraidon so you were definitely killing both with Glacial lance.
Qotd: I’ve always loved Spewpa for a weird support mon, with friend guard + rage powder, but the rest of its movepool is mediocre. Plus buffing it buffs vivillon who has always struggled. I think sleep powder is a fairly obvious answer, maybe something like magic coat or foul play, honestly I have no idea
Been wanting to try this for a while since I saw this video for the first time. Ran zacian instead of flutter mane. Might be an understatement to say the guy quit pretty fast as soon as I stole his zamazentas ability and it boosted slakings defense off the start🤣
In a format where there’s a lot of competition for restricted Pokémon, I’m honestly surprised that there’s so many restricted Pokémon that can and will work well. I like that there’s actually potential for lots of variety in this format
