This note on my car showed me just how HORRIFYING pro-choice logic is.

I have a bumper sticker on my car that occasionally causes pro-choice people to want to interact with me. In this case, someone left a note on my windshield explaining why she thinks I wasn't aborted and thinks it's not only allowable to kill babies in the womb but that it is morally required! I'm going to walk through the logic of this note and try to show why I think it demonstrates the same thinking in pro-choice people that was present in almost every genocide in history. Yes, it's that bad. And until we all see it as being that bad we will be likely to fall into the continual moral compromise of our worldly culture.
Make your own bumper sticker (I haven't used this service and am not sponsored by them but their reviews look good). www.amazon.com/dp/B014JQ43RQ/

I’m hoping this will be seen by the person who posted the comment asking how God could forgive them for having 2 abortions. You may have deleted your comment but I did try to reply and I hope you find God’s grace in this reply. Paul the apostle was in a situation even worse than what you’ve described. He had actively persecuted the church and sought to destroy the name of Christ. His moral crimes were so bad because he not only helped murder Stephen (in Acts 7) but was doing something even worse when he tried to torment Christians until they denied Christ and sought to fight against the very gospel itself. What’s amazing about this is that God chose to save Paul not just in spite of his sin but because of it. God wanted a man to spread the gospel who was guilty of the worst sin so that everyone else would know God would forgive even the worst sin. Paul even says as much in this passage. “even though I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an arrogant man. But I received mercy because I acted out of ignorance in unbelief, and the grace of our Lord overflowed, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. This saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”  - and I am the worst of them. But I received mercy for this reason, so that in me, the worst of them, Christ Jesus might demonstrate his extraordinary patience as an example to those who would believe in him for eternal life.” ‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭1:13-16‬ ‭CSB‬ As aware as you are of your wrongdoing you must become that much more aware of the grace of God. In Christ, He forgives you. Look to Jesus, He paid the price.

Mike, God bless you brother. 🙏 This is an incredibly powerful message. I can list a handful of times that I have cried as an adult, my marriage, saying good bye to my grandmother, and saying good bye to my best friend. I have my first baby to be born in November. Before my wife was pregnant with our child, I had spent many years being brainwashed that a fetus was nothing more than a parasite. Even I, a "good and moral" man was convinced that abortion was nothing more than a talking point for the politicians. I cried while listening to this message. It's difficult to hear and know that we have so many babies being violently murdered everyday. And it's frustrating to know that "good and moral" men are still convinced that the violent murder of innocent babies is nothing more than a "talking point". Keep up the good work. God Bless.

Mike, I am not for abortion at all. Please believe me. And I am not saying her logic makes sense or that she is right. Every single person born into this world deserves to be loved and cherished and provided for abd not abused. But that is not limited to unborn children. There are plenty of people who suffer in different ways who long for all three of things that she mentioned and yet lack that and didn't choose their circumstances or their family or their life. The wife that is unloved by her husband, the man on the street corner who lost his job and now has to beg, the law or medical student who got into an accident and now has lost his mental and physical capabilities...all of these people lose hope in different ways and may wish that God would take their life, but I am not saying it justifies abortion or that her logic is correct. There is suffering in this world regardless of age, sex, race, etc. And that should drive us to compassion. I think she thinks she is being compassionate in sparing a baby an unhappy life, but there should be other solutions to pain in this world.

When I got pregnant with my son, I just lost my job, was just 1 month clean, was living in a weekly hotel , was not married and had every family member try to convince me to have an abortion for most of those reasons on the note. 5 years later I have a beautiful blue eyed, blonde hair, smart happy healthy boy. A 4 year old beautiful girl with an amazing husband who took on the responsibility of being a father to my son. It is distraction, selfishness, and worldliness that makes us believe it is okay to commit one of the most disgusting sins to avoid the responsibility of taking care of a child. We all suffer. Whether you are financially stable or not everyone has problems. If you build your house on a rock with God and Christ guiding your building, then you will overcome those problems and discover the beauty of God's plan for you. Also, I had a pill abortion about 15 years ago at about 6 weeks. I thought this was ok because the man I got pregnant by put a knife to my neck and threatened to kill me. I know this is an older video but I need to share this... My husband is adopted. He was born to a man who had no clue he existed and died in 1990 still never knowing he had a son and a woman who was schizophrenic where the voices told her to kill her baby. My husband's adopted parents were not able to have their own children. He was loved and cared for and even more than that he was WANTED. He is the oldest of 4 adopted siblings. He has a brother and 2 sisters. They were poor but not living in the streets. Even when my in-laws died they left nothing but debt. But they left a legacy of love that is seen every day in my children that would never have been born if my husband had been aborted.

No one who is pro choice is anti life. In fact they are pro life just like most other people. To them, the life of extant human people is more valuable than the potential life of embryonic humans. PROLIFE advocates however, tend to be anti choice, which negatively affects the life of the pregnant person, ironically enough. Funny how that works.

I spent most of my childhood feeling unwanted and even hated. I felt bullied by both classmates and family members, picked last for every game or sport, and felt pretty worthless. I grew up raised on Christ, but even felt judged by most of the other church growers. In fifth grade I was forced to join the softball team, because we didn't have enough players otherwise, but still no one wanted to practice with me, I was forced to practice alone. One sunny day I threw the ball high into the air, playing catch with myself, because even though I did not want to play, I still wanted to help the team win. The sun got in my eyes and I was hit in the face. The teacher who finally came to me said I had been hunched over the ground for about 5mins before he noticed the blood on the ground. 5 mins of everyone playing around me thinking it was just some cry for attention and ignoring me. By pro choice logic, I should never have been allowed to live. Please watch this video and be better. We have to stop thinking this way. Just because a choice exists does not make it right. Be better, choose better, and stop coming up with selfish excuses for murder. I love a good honest life now working in healthcare. My family and I have never been closer, all has been forgiven and I'm doing fine. So no, I don't think it would have been better if I was aborted. Give life a chance, because life will always find a way

@CassaundraBabe
@CassaundraBabe 6 месяцев назад
@@Demun1649 Wow. You really showed me. Every single sentence you wrote is not only a lame attempt at an insult but grammatically incorrect and structured like you - wrong. First, you need ellipses in the first sentence before using the opening quotation mark since it's a partial quote. The exclamation point is the improper use of the ending punctuation. There is no exclamation point here. If the exclamation point was used correctly, it would be placed inside the quote. However, since you didn't even quote the quote correctly, it's a moot point. Second, NO in all caps is the improper way to spell no in this instance. It would be considered a misspelling. All caps is only used in some acronyms. You have also used the comma after NO incorrectly. The third sentence also is incorrectly structured. The proper sentence structure would be: You cannot use whom as you did in this sentence. (Which by the way is not true. I can give you a who vs. whom grammar lesson another day. Let's first help you learn how to properly structure a basic English sentence. You did not structure one sentence correctly in your comment.) You are a "WHO". Again, using all caps in this word is incorrect. You're also using quotation marks around this word incorrectly. If you're referring to me as the World Health Organization then all caps would be correct. However, quotes would still be incorrect. Furthermore, this is factually incorrect. I am a woman not a "WHO". Likewise, this would be classified as hate speech as you misgendered me and failed to respect my pronouns. I was hoping you would at least make some reparation in your final sentence. Alas, no. I am not a people so this sentence not only is factually incorrect but grammatically incorrect. If I was a people, the sentence would properly read as follows: Where did you people learn English from? Additionally, you committed another hate crime by me misgendering and failing to respect my collective pronoun preference. I earned my first degree as a double major in journalism/communications at Syracuse University. I studied there with my son on my hip and worked a full-time job. I graduated with a 3.9 GPA and as co-editor of the newspaper which won multiple awards that year. I have had a nationally recognized award-winning journalism and marketing career and am currently pursuing my master's degree with a full scholarship at an Ivy League university. Your comment to a woman like me is beyond laughable and you look like an absolute fool. Good try, little one. Maybe next time. My nephew , the son of a notorious South African policeman- turned- bank robber, would have been aborted if my baby sister, who was only 17, went through with the illegal abortion he gave her a pile oc money for. She had a whopping holiday with the money and my parents raised the boy. The father was later shot and killed in Florida USA. Today that baby is a gospel musician, pastors a church and has a strong prophetic ministry. We kill great potential when babies are aborted.

Same here. I've been trying for 12 years now. I got pregnant 8 months ago completely by surprise and then had a very early miscarriage. The instant connection and deep intense love I felt for my baby is like nothing else I've ever experienced. I've grieved for months. Up until a week ago I was still crying every single day. I had anxiety/panic attacks, etc. I can't imagine ever choosing to end my child's life. I would have done anything to save my baby if I could. It's just so upsetting to see women kill their own children and write notes like these. I hope you're doing okay. I just wanted to reply so you know that you're not alone.

My spouse had a hard time getting over it while I wonder what kind of child they would have been. When I see my youngest, it makes me sad because there was supposed to be another, when I think of my oldest I think of the conversation we had to have about miscarriages and why there won’t be another baby. Watching my wife cry over the miscarriages is heartbreaking because each one was a child we won’t meet.

I really can understand how people think like that. I was born completely unexpected. My mom was in her late 40s and already had three kids and was told she would never have another kid and 19 years later I was born. My dad became an alcoholic the first 16 years of my life so I was born into abuse and they were definitely not financially ready for me but yet I thank God every for what he has done in my life and where it is going. My mom could of got an abortion because they said I wouldn't be healthy and I am. They told my mom she had cancer and refused to take treatment because If she did it would kill me and by the time I'd be born the cancer wouldn't be treatable anymore and by the grace of God it was never cancer to begin with. According to that logic I'm not a blessing and in the end my mom and dad both told me I was. Abortion is nothing short of murder and if my mom had gone through with it I wouldn't be here to tell people my testimony. Jesus is so amazing and despite all I believe he died and resurrected for me so that we don't have to perish but have ever lasting life.

Aborition is bad enough, but your story is one that amplifies one of the other issues surrounding abortion, which is the fact that expecting mothers are being told abortion is their best option. I think many women who end up getting abortions these days only do so because they are more or less pressured into it. How much longer will it even remain a true choice? Seems crazy today, but should we really be surprised if in our lifetimes abortions are not even a choice in many cases? Instead, they are government or doctor ordered. Eventually we'll probably be able to detect many medical conditions before birth. Imagine this, you are pregnant and you go in for a legally obligated test. The test confirms the child has autism. The government may not go as far to say that you must abort, but they tell you that since you know the child has autism that you will never be eligable for any government assistence. Insurance companies can/will refuse to cover medical coverage. In other words, they "force" you to abort by using extreme pressue techniques. The Biden administration is already trying to force a vaccinate or get tested weekly for covid on people. If this is held up or is implemented in the future for other matters, how far of a stretch is it really for women to be mandated to get monthly pregnancy tests and, if positive, get the baby tested before birth? Refuse to get tested, well then you can never claim that child for tax credits, medical insurance, government assistence, etc. Keep in mind, the majority of women whom get abortions tend to be low-income to begin with. Financial pressure to abort for many of these women would almost surely push them over the edge on the "decision".

I grew up believing I was worthless as my mother always told me. We were not allowed to talk about it outside of the home. It is very common for the abuser to do that. My mother even put me in a mental institution when I was 13. After I became a Christian at 15 the abuse got worse. I have had 2 friends tell me they knew I was abused but couldn't do anything because they were just kids. After reading a book about alanon (father was an alcoholic) I realized Nothing was my fault. It was my mothers issues dealing with my fathers alcoholism. I confronted my mother when I was 40 and asked her why she abused me. Some historians and commentators have noted that it was called such, because at the time of worship, tambourines would have been played to drown out the cries of the child as they were immolated. We were not exactly treated kindly by the pro abortion folks who followed us. Thank you Mike, we need new people in every generation, because fighting for the right to LIFE - the one that actually is in the Constitution! Not the "right" to kill your child in the womb. That fight is exhausting in every way. But science and technology are our friends. The ability to see better, clearer images, the fact that yes, life does begin at conception - science is backing this up now. Women who have made the choice to end that life need to know that God loves them. That Jesus died for them. And there is nothing God can not forgive. When I was 15 years old I found out that I was pregnant. I was young and scared and had an aunt that tried with all her might to convince me that abortion was not only okay but also the only answer but I refused to believe that. I decided to put the baby up for adoption. However my aunt wasn't the only obstacle that I faced. When I was about 4 months pregnant the Dr. did this testing that was supposed to predict birth defects. It came back positive for spinal bifida and the Dr. then tried VERY HARD to convince me to abort. Again I refused. Then once I felt the baby kicking and moving I also decided that I was keeping my baby and vowed to love and protect it with ALL my might no matter what. On July 5th of that year I gave birth to a super healthy absolutely PERFECT baby girl that weighed 7lbs 5oz. I married her dad and we had 4 more beautiful healthy children. Still I was pro-choice. Although I myself could never kill a baby I had family members that had repeated abortions and I shook it off by telling myself that it's between them and God. Your video reached me in ways that nothing else had. I have had to live my life knowing that I was a product of rape. I believe that everytime my mother looked at me she was reminded of that rape. She told me I was a mistake and that I was never MEANT to be born. She explained to me how she TRIED to miscarry me MANY times and I struggled a LOT with that as a teenager. She gave me to her mother and I am thankful everyday for that because I WAS loved. After watching this video I am 100% pro-life. If a mother is not going to protect a child of God that IS meant to be born then SOMEONE needs to. Murder is NOT okay. Period. Thank you for this. God bless you.

My son was conceived in a violent rape. He’s now 35. Abortion was never an option for me. I’m Catholic and have always been pro-life/anti-abortion. He knows how he was conceived but not who his father is. I spent some time as a peer counselor to other rape victims. Those who abort have a harder time recovering because the abortion mimics the rape itself. In Finland where post-abortion is studied and tracked, about 40% of women who abort for ANY reason attempt suicide later. Rape/incest are constantly used as exceptions but it’s a horrible argument. Abortion kills not just the baby but also the baby’s descendants forever. That’s why it’s better for you to have a millstone around your neck than to hurt a hair on a child’s head. God bless.

I'm a Christian and this Confuses me greatly: Christ Himself did not seem to support the legislation of morality. If that were the case he would have agreed with the mob to stone the woman for violating moral law at the time. He would have agreed with the Pharisees and Sadducees who constantly tried to control the masses by legislating morality. No- in fact The Lord seems to have always supported the freedom of man to either please God or commit Sin. Sin that, unless repented from, will result in Hell fire. In other words, morality and societal legislation are two roads that should not cross. If you believe they should, then why are you not pushing for fornicators and adulterers to be prosecuted legally?? Where is the fight against greed if Money is the root of all evil? Abortion is an atrocious Sin. It is. But Sin will be dealt with in its due time. Alcohol, which has led to more deaths (violence, murder, rape, abuse, adultery, fornication, ill conceived children, drunk driving, etc) gets a pass...no one is stomping in the streets about this because that hits a little too close to home.. so lets single out the young women who are considering abortion?...this seems to be the height of hypocrisy.. Please tell me where in the bible the following conclusions run counter to Christ's actions: 1) Christians have the right to follow Jesus and their reward will be Heaven. 2) Non believers have the freedom to not follow Jesus and their reward will be Hell. 3) Neither of these have to do with laws that govern people. Thoughts?

Here is one counter to this Pro "Choice" argument: There is a DocuDrama called "Mully" about a Kenyan man who grew up DIRT POOR! He literally had only the dirty shorts he was wearing as a kid, no shirt and no shoes. He woke up one morning in his mud hut and found that his family had left him. He wandered around knocking on other mud huts asking for help and was turned away. He then wandered into town where a wealthy woman allowed him to come in and live and earn his keep by doing chores. Her husband eventually hired him to work in his business working in the fields. He saved up enough money to start a taxi business. Then he eventually owned a fleet of buses, then a tire company, then a real estate company then an insurance company. He was a self-made TYCOON with a wife and eight children! Then God called Mully to sell all of his businesses and go back to where he had come from and start caring for the thousands of orphans still there. One by one he brought them home to his own home. Eventually he was caring for thousands of orphans and God supplied all he and his wife needed to do so. So, according to the Pro "Choice" argument Mully should have never existed and the thousands of orphans he helped should have never existed. But we are made in the image God and every human life is precious. Even the ones that people like this woman think do not have the right or the life potential or the "requirements" to be allowed to live!

Maybe advocating for those things to be issued at conception would be more fruitful. As for your comment you cant point to the exception to the rule that a child raised without a decent home life as a reason to advocate for children to be brought into hellish situations. Funny how the people advocating against "killing children" are the same ones that support the death penalty and trying 14 yearolds as adults. If you dont want people looking at abortion as an option you should also advocate for raising children to not be financially prohibited. Do like Poland and knock off tax rates for every child had and after 4 its zero. If Society assentivized having children abortion would disappear.

@@engineeringreality7878 The government or other governing bodies do not decide when someone's a person or at least shouldn't so the legality doesn't matter. Where were they advocating for children to be brought into hellish situations they just don't want them killed even if the side effect is that they'll exist in a hellish situation. The child has not committed a crime to be put on the death sentence, you would have to do a crime hopefully a bad one to get that punishment but personally I don't agree with the death sentence. When I got pregnant I was devastated and completely unprepared for motherhood. I didn't want to be pregnant, didn't want to be a mother, didn't want to feel ashamed that I had committed adultery (was not married). I tried to deny what was happening to me and even considered getting rid of my baby. I was horrified by what I had done with my life, and I didn't think I could move forward. My baby was not loved or wanted when she was conceived, except by God. She had no money at birth and I had no income. My boyfriend at the time was emotionally and psychologically abusive to me and hardly ever changed her diaper. Thankfully my family and friends embraced me and my daughter, but if they had not, I don't know what I would have done. I struggled through abuse before and after she was born, because I chose to have sex with someone I barely knew and I didn't think anything bad would happen. I'm not looking for pity or sympathy. I say this to contradict the messed up thinking which justifies killing parts of ourselves to make life convenient and to cover up our other sins; our shame. To say that human love, money and safety/security are the only things that give us value and worth is to 1) reject God, 2) condemn to death millions of people walking this earth, and 3) miss the beauty of God's grace healing our brokenness. We live in a fallen world. Every one of us will experience a lack of love, finances, and/or security at some point in our lives. That doesn't mean we should die. It doesn't mean we have no value and would be better off to never live. It doesn't make us simply victims. It makes us human. It's an opportunity for God to demonstrate His power and love. It's a chance for us to learn and grow. Our worth, as he said, comes from God alone, not anything we have or do. Even death cannot take that away. Life has already begun. Whoever chooses to end it is killing a human, no matter where or how small they are. Life is worth living. No matter what. Thank you Mike for making this video and sharing your story with us!

At first I thought we should regulate it, but now I hardly see any justification for abortion. It's abominable now, we've far passed "safe, legal and rare." Just seems most cases it's used as a selfish escape from some of the consequences of unprotected sex on both sides, for men and women. Don't think we could have abortion for rape either since we'd still have those bad apples out there who WILL make a false rape accusation and ruin lives just so they can escape parenthood, even if it means ruining the lives of the people they previously consented to sex with.

Yes, many women have been hurt by men in various ways; some of those ways have led to pregnancies. Incest and rape are horrible things. Abandoning a pregnant teen girlfriend is a horrible thing. Those things still don't justify punishing an innocent person for another's wrongs. A baby is innocent. I know a man whose girlfriend's cousin took her out of town on a "vacation". In reality she aborted that man's child. He had no knowledge of her pregnancy and she gave that man no choice. Sadly, men are denied a choice of their children living. A baby is the child of two parents - not the property of one. It is not a parasite or a fetus; it's a child. HUGE RESPECT TO YOU FOR LOVING AND RESPECTING MEN TRYING TO DEFEND UNBORN BABIES from being dehumanized, devalued, and having their right to life denied. Slavery is wrong. The Holocaust is wrong. It’s very very rare for a person to come back from beliefs as ghastly as these. Think about that person in your life who believes that it’s abuse to disallow a child to have a sex change. “Yeah… I know I’m sorry about that one, I just didn’t think about what happens for the next 80 years after the genital mutilation was complete, give me a break I’ve been busy” A person would more likely ,spontaneously combust rather than destroy their sense of self with one admission.

My mom almost aborted me. I was the unplanned, “extra” kid. And yes, I was unloved, emotionally and physically abused, and my family had endless financial troubles. And when I was younger I thought well, I guess it would have been fine if I was aborted, after all I wouldn’t exist and therefore I wouldn’t know the difference, I can take it (life and existence) or leave it. And I thought this for many years and was pro choice as a result. After all, what’s the harm if the baby simply never gained rational thought and therefore doesn’t learn of its own loss? It wasn’t until one day I looked at my husband and thought, I’m glad I was born, even if it were just to love him. I’m sure I would think the same if/when God blesses us with children. And that’s when I realized what was missing my whole life prior, was the notion that *I* mattered, that there are things only *I* could do and can do, and that I *can* make a difference in the world, however small. I slowly became pro-life after that epiphany, and found God along the way as well. And I think that’s actually the psyche, deep down, for a lot of pro choicers, the feeling that they actually don’t matter at all, and that nobody does in the “grand scheme of things”. They have no meaning in life beyond self gratification, no identity, no purpose. (Also why they derive so much meaning and comfort through gender, race and sexuality labels) For me, it took gaining a sense of purpose and looking beyond myself and any shallow “meaning of life” to find out what it means to be pro-life. I hope a lot of these people can find their way there as well.

This isn't rational analysis though. It's just blind emotion. Pro-life isn't the position that people should find meaning in their lives. Pro-life is the position that abortion should be illegal and is equivalent to murder. Pro-choice is the position that people should have legal control over their own reproduction and that women should not be violently forced to bring every pregnancy they have to completion. It's easy to see that an absolutist pro-life position is irrational. You start from the extreme cases, and work your way in in your analysis. If a woman is raped and gets pregnant, it's monstrous to suggest she should be legally forced to carry the pregnancy to term, but that's the pro-life position. It's morally indefensible. What this tells you though is that the abortion issue isn't as open and shut as pro-lifers would want you to think. They _want_ a simple solution to the dilemma but there _just_ isn't one. It's a form of reality denial and fanaticism. I can appreciate people who want to promote the idea of the value of the unborn but their zealot attitudes - usually based on nothing but religious belief - on this point are downright dangerous.
@thehonestchristian492
@thehonestchristian492 2 года назад
@@superdog797 "You start from the extreme cases and work your way into your analysis" You started off with rape as a reason for pro-choice. Rape and incest are a very small percentage of abortions being conducted. And to top it off women who have been raped or a victim of incest are rarely heard from in this debate. I watched 2 full documentaries in favor of abortion, and you want to know how many women were interviewed who had an abortion due to rape? 0. The documentaries are on hbo max if you want to watch them. True cases are not black or white. It's the solution to these cases that are hard lined. You do not get to kill a baby. Period. Now if we want to discuss getting help, resources, convictions etc for the "grey" areas fine. Let's do that. I do have a question though. Why do people get so upset at pro-life posters that show aborted babies? If it has absolutely no value, and is just "ending a pregnancy" than you should pay it the same mind as you do any slasher film, or graphic Halloween decoration. Yet these posters get severe back lash. Why? Is it because you are now confronted with what is actually being done to that "fetus" and you just can't stand the thought of it, so you try and silence the truth so you can sleep better at night with your "clump of cells" just a "fetus" terminologies? And what exactly do you mean "violently forced to bring a pregnancy to completion"? And last is the religious argument. Science says that it is a human life. It is no longer just the woman's body. At the very least be honest enough to say that you believe a woman can end someone else's life in favor of her own (if you want to get flowery with words).

@@superdog797 I’m not here to offer a “rational analysis” on the issue of abortion. And I didn’t say that pro life is the position that people should find meaning in their lives. I said that maybe if people can find their meaning in life they would then realize that every aborted child had their potential meaning and value snuffed out. I do believe that abortion is equivalent to murder. Let me ask you a question - why is the murderer charged with double homicide when the victim is a pregnant woman? Do you believe it shouldn’t be the case?

The individual matters not, only the many and all that matters is one's happiness. If happiness is not achieved, one must act towards it, regardless of what one must do so long as happiness outweighs the grief done in accomplishing such things. Nazis could literally just use the argument that jews bring more grief to society than good, so killing them is not just permissible but even moral.

@@ceasedesist9676 Wise words. From observation (my family is strongly pro choice) this argument is often underpinned by one (or both) of two grievances. Either against the ‘ patriarchy’ ( ie bad men have been using women’s fertility against them for centuries and have become corrupted by that power) or against humanity itself (too many people so no more rhinos/ sharks/ coral reefs etc). Read a recent article by the feminist author Caitlin Moran in the UK ‘Times’ which broadly combined the argument of the note writer here with a heavy ‘it’s really tough being a mother so whether I want to become one is none of your business’ undertow. I broke down and realized that she was right and in my heart as a Christian I knew I could not go through with it. I ended up giving my only son up for adoption to a loving family that could not have children of their own. He has been a wonderful blessing for them and for me. We just celebrated his 19th birthday last week. I am so grateful for my daughter and the fact that I put aside my pride and gave birth to him. I thank the Lord for his life. Thank you for persevering and praising God for what He taught you through that dark valley. I'm currently experiencing familial conflict because a relative claims to want to have our families spend time together, but also thinks I'm cursed (due to being chronically ill) and is concerned it will wear off on their children if we interact much. It's baffling and hurtful since I'm unlikely to be able to have my own children and looked forward to helping with nieces and nephews, and frankly it's a little offensive, too. But the worst part is that they can't see that I'm a better person for having become so sick! God has humbled me, and through the example of others helping and loving me in my illness I learned how to love and help people, too. I know that life is fleeting and precious, I know that God is the gracious sustainer, I love to encourage others and help random people whenever possible. I wouldn't have known any of that if I had been healthy enough to keep chasing my own ambitions. Thank you, God for having a better path for me! So I just wanted to say thanks for verbalizing that you too, realized your extreme hardships weren't a curse, but were the vehicle for eventual good. Praise God!
