My buddy and I were in the Canyonlands about 10 years ago. We were in a rented FWD Compass and it started to rain. We decided to head for 191, I think we were on 211. I didn't want to stop until we got back to pavement. It was like driving a rally car, almost. I just kept my foot on the gas and kept the momentum. Luckily we made it back to 191. Whew, what a relief that was.
Casey that reminded me of our days on the small property we had years ago. Thanks I just realized how much I don't miss em sorry buddy that was a joke of course I enjoyed sliding around especially in a skid steer bobcat thanks Mate cheers ✌👍
Used to drive up/down Smith's Mesa in a '89 Suzuki Swift (same as Geo Metro) in the rain/snow, straddling foot-deep tire ruts left by 4x4's. It is a pretty difficult road to navigate, so I have no idea 'why' people choose to go up there in bad weather 'just to hang out'. And 'YES' - We woulda been slightly disappointed in you, had you chosen to step out into that mess without your mukluks! Ha!
That reminds me of our "Red Dirt Roads" down here in "lower alabama" after an inch of rain. Slipperier than "Moose Crap"! Great job and an awesome video. Oh, you must also have an awesome pressure washer.
Casey, another excellent down, dirty and Earthy adventure in the Ole Cherriokie. Overhill over dale as we slide along the snotty trail. As the Cherriokie goes rolling along. Kudos and Cheers, Mate.
I think I would have just stayed on the pavement! Had a detail shop for 19 years! Washed a lot of muddy ranch vehicles! Good job Casey getting them headed back to the hard pack!
Thanks for the video and taking us along Casey nice work, driving were they shouldn't be at this time, greasy Mud no fun. Take care of yourself and family and be Blessed ❤️❤️❤️👍.
Perfect video to sit down and watch over breakfast 👍 I can't believe the bind people get themselves into with those mud roads, and it probably happens so fast there's no getting out before you're stuck.
Nice job Casey!! That mud is really something else!! Grew up in a rural area in SouthEast Nebraska... we had clay there too. It would ball up so bad on the tires that it would fill the fender wells and the tires would not turn. Slick as a greased glass door knob!! You did a fine job getting those people back to some hard pak where they could stay on the road!! Dogs just don't seem to mind being a muddy mess as long as they can run and play!! Great adventure!!
That’s why when I order my first pickup truck I ordered all the options but a basic truck. No chrome, cloth or carpet because I knew how I was going to use it.
😂😂😂don't think it's funny cuz it's snot😂😂😂❤thx for rescuing my fellow Canadians and their travel trailer the other day! Iwatched it on their youtube channel and will see if you post it too!! At least now we know who to call if our FJ gets stuck around those parts!! 😂🙋♀️🇨🇦❤️‼️
...Casey, you are the man...what a snotty mess...and why would you think you could camp in this misery...a Hyundai sedan...you just can't make this stuff up...😛
Hey Casey! At 6:03 and previous, when first they went off the road, and then you did: the problem is that when you pull from one side on slick surfaces, the towed vehicle will pull to the opposite side, and also, the tow vehicle towing from a center hitch will tend to steer a little toward the rope side of the towed vehicle. Nice videos. Main reason I watch. Used to have a small tugboat 83' so I'm used to slick surfaces: like water where tow rope placement is vital.
Casey I have a question are fans allowed to go with you on a recovery? I am asking because going on a recovery with you would be a lot of fun and definitely an educational experience.
Yt making it hard to comment; that time between next video took significant leap shorter. Anywhere Casey's Offroad Recovery keeping it awesome as always...looks like Georgia Clay but I know it's pink sand hollow sand...how old is poppy .
OMG i see why i never see your post anymore i'm no longer subscribed. but i took care of that. LOL. and that is the kind of mud me and the red turd likes to play in. the red turd is a 2000 f150 4x4. i dont know why but i love that truck. tried to sell it 100 times but never could
How do 4wd’s with “pizza cutter” open tread mud tires work in those conditions? Wide sand flotation tires do not work well in our prairie clay mud... slide around all over the place...frantic spinning required
Jeep week just started here in Daytona Beach. Nothing for all the pavement queens to do here other than the obstacle courses they set up inside the racetrack. Definitely nothing like what you have out there.
I still don't fathom people.. if you see the road is muddy and slippery... Then why drive on it.. turn around and get out... sheesshhhh!!!!.... a vehicle with a trailer whyyyyy and a sedan in that cesspool of mud.. why drive in there n the first place...??
@@ltdees2362 Yes common sense is not as common as it used to be that's for sure.. maybe they stopped teaching it at primary school years ago.. haha....
They? I have been sponsored by Warn, Factor 55 and BFG among others for years. Nothing in the offroad world says legitimate more than an affiliation with those three!
I can’t believe people have no common sense. The people with cars should never attempted it in the first place. And more people with 4x4’s get stuck 10x more than they would with a 2 wheel drive. They think they can go anyplace. 😂
You should call Matt. He has the right equipment for what you do. What did you do not to be part of that scene? Your tiny recovery channel. Channels that were smaller have risen to epic. Matt must know of you. Why not grab the ring?
I was doing recovery for a decade before Matt bought an existing towing company. Guess who got him started in off road recovery? My 5 businesses keep me plenty busy. I have an entire fleet of recovery vehicle's. I hardly need help.
Aww KTM you poor thing, coming to a channel running your mouth, if you had been around matts channel from the beginning you would be terribly embarrassed by your comments here tonight!
