Not to mention if I pay THAT much money I don't want to be so close to other people to hear all of their noises and their kids running around, and I want to be able to play my music as loud as I want to.
Our new downtown apartment in Toronto that we purchased in 2016 didn't come with a parking space which most don't. When we asked about parking spots since we needed 2 spots the best they could do was give 1 on 2 different floors but they were $45,000 each. If we wanted a secured private parking space in a gated garage spot it was $75,000. I can only imagine what NYC parking spots are going for.

And the type of people who live in these things are the ones who want to tell you that you should have nothing and be happy... That place looks like a really fancy prison,, you couldn't pay me to set foot in New York, if anything were to go remotely wrong that city is screwed,, you need pumps to get water up to those beautiful Suites, you need pumps to get all the crap out of those Suites, you need electricity just to get into those suites.. the whole city is like that! And there are zero resources.. I simply couldn't live that far above the abyss that disjointed from our world, and living like that definitely breeds mental problems.. The dollar cost is high for such a place it is bankrupt and void,,
I'd be concerned about having a weird unlocked door. It would make more sense if the door could only open from the apartment but there's definitely a handle inside the delivery bit

The comment is kinda bigoted. We all have times when we're napping, showering, watching something, etc. and don't want to be interrupted. It's not a rich/ poor thing.
I live in a highrise in Chicago. You're not "just paying for one apartment". That's an opinion from someone who has no idea this type of living isn't your standard flat. You're paying for all kinds of amenities, building wide maintenance, pools and cabanas, sauna & gyms, concierge service, in house drycleaning, resident laundry rooms, resident only Café, resident-only mini grocery store, covered parking, resident only patios/ green spaces with fire pits, outdoor furniture, access to party/ meeting rooms, pet friendly amenities and 24/7 security. And that's just what's available INSIDE of the building. Not to mention the accessible stores, top tier bars/ restaurants, entertainment and public transportation that's usually within walking distance of many highrise luxury condos. As well as close to the office. Idk if you have all that in your house/ apartment, but if you do, you have to pay for it, to install and maintain it yourself.
Christ, the feng shui alone is a tragedy. A bed with a doorway sharing a same wall, with the toilet positioned directly behind.😂 the materials remind me of those GTA mods where everything is over glossed and reflective/watery.
It's okay my buddy's building has a grocery store and Starbucks that are open 24 hours. They deliver for a fee or you can get it yourself. It's a buck or two more expensive but you don't leave your building
Ever heard of the building in Alaska that has everything you need in it? You live there, go to school there, grocery shopping, post office, municipal, everything. The people wake up get ready and go to work a few floors down. You literally never have to leave! There’s a documentary on YT about it
Considering the price, I would think that the master closet would have been bigger. Overall, it's a nice unit. Don't know about paying a million dollars for a Studio though😖
That's a ridiculous amount of money for a small apartment! I live in the country, for a 3 bedroom house on 5 acres of land my mortgage was $485 a month.
I understood you showing the rentals but something about a 2 bed 2 ba condo for $6.25 million is rubbing me the wrong way. Even many of the 1 % would not find that a reasonable deal.

@@LaLadybug2011 big deal it’s in a hotel I guess you gotta be a city slicker to pay that much for so little, heck for 6.5 million I could have a lot of acreage and a 10,000 square ft house in the country and not have my neighbors 6 ft away so I could run all over the house buck naked if I wanted and nobody would have to worry about the neighbors calling the cops for too much noise!! You can keep that overpriced condo in the city I’ll stay out in the country where life is so much better!!

These apartments are carbon copies across the world. They are stark and depressing. I photograph property for my work and whenever I do a place like this my soul dies a little inside. I much prefer a place with character and a few knocks that has love inside it. Also spotlights. Blergh.
Who do these hotels cater to? Older communities that have MONEY! Newer hotels call bouquet hotels for the younger crowd. Big hotels mostly have stopped room service because younger people be want to go to eat. When the baby boomers have all gone, look to these small apartment and home rentals because people want to take the whole family. You have summer and winter rentals. A whole apartment own by a family but used only in the summer. Winter the hotel rents it out for them. Change of all sorts are coming.
I am blessed to live in an 1800 sq ft home on an acre of land & price was not even close to this apt. Can’t even imagine living there. Different strokes for different folks!
That closet opening on both the hall and the hotel room reminded me of something. I had seen it on the web months ago, but I couldn't remember the name. but I finally found it with a little bit of Google searching!!!! there was a Contraption called the "servidor" for hotel room doors that allowed access from one side at a time for secure deliveries and privacy like that, and was manufactured for many years back in the early to mid 20th century!!!!!!!!! The more things change the more they stay the same!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is just a very big version of the milk-delivery door in old houses. Very early in the morning, the milkman would deliver bottles of milk into it, and shut the little outside door. When the family (or their cook/maid) came downstairs, they'd open the inside door, and bring the milk to the kitchen.
Did anyone feel like the narrator is an ash? "You don't want them knocking on your door". Is that really so bad. The only perk is your deliveries are safe, but at the price of those apartments isn't there a doorman?
