Jatt and Kobe return for This or That, the show where the slides are made up and the points don’t matter. Each week they’ll be back with fresh slides (which they've never seen) and will argue whether it’s “This” or “That”.
Mats Eigel hahaha. As soon as I saw the first game I knew C9 was going to get stomped. As an NA Player I’ll take what we got haha. I also prefer FNC over them though. Rekkles’s confidence gives me hope.
@@6666Imperator It can have value if riot changes the prize pool distribution. Imo more games would just be interesting in general, but since they have anything else to win, it is questionnable if teams would still take as seriously or not. But it's an interesting discussion
Normally 3rd place matches are played in order to see which teams will get more points to get to rift rivals or worlds. But in worlds, the 3rd place match wouldn't count for anything, hence the lack of it.
@@420weabooslayer if this summerplits SKT subbed in for any team in any stage of the tournament after play-ins they would hardlose just about every game. They wouldn't have made it out of groups since they couldn't even defeat Gen G. in the Regional qualifier and those guys were the first team to get knocked out.
@@tharrock337 yeah nah, we just found out on semi final that this world's meta is about burst picks and aggressive playstyle, basically Faker's meta. Gen G and other Korean teams brought the wrong meta hence the reason they "underperformed", Faker would dominate so hard in mid. Sadly we can't see Faker shines in this meta which suits him perfectly.
I think adding a third place match to worlds would be a total plus. You could broadcast them on the final day and help build the hype for the finals. The logistics would be a slight hurdle, but you could have the two contenders for 3rd place stay in the tournament venue and broadcast from there, and then switch the broadcast to the finals venue afterwards. The benefit is that you could charge admission at the tournament venue, and offer an opportunity to see the 3rd place match and then stay to watch the finals from that venue on the big screens offering an alternative for those that may not be able to travel to the finals. Just a thought.
It’s amazing how salty EU fans get over the fact that they said C9 wasn’t stomped as hard as G2. The IG v G2 series was the second fastest in worlds history for a reason! Don’t ignore facts just cause you’re mad that not everyone is praising every EU team. Happy for EU and Fnatic. I’ve been a C9 fan for a while but I’ve always loved Fnatic as well. Hope they do well in the Finals!
Fnc picked a lategame comp the 2nd game, and still finished fairly early. I didn't see the IG v G2 game, but I did see FNC C9, C9 didn't have a single moment they had a chance to win the game
@@NotFlappy12 Your opinion isnt really very well-informed the moment you said "I didnt see the IG vs G2 game".... C9 fought back against FNC, but it didnt work out. G2 did not fight back against IG at all. Theres a reason why G2 vs IG had such a short game time. C9 at least tried to teamfight against FNC and make plays, G2 players ended up dealing 3k damage in a 20 min game.
@@nahtanor312 G2 had game 3 , Jankos confirmed this, they threw their lead. Overal IG is a better team but theShy popped of. G2 is extremely inconsistent if you watch EU LCS. G2 getting stomped is nothing new. IG is a bad matchup, only bot was doing good so 1-3-1 doesn't work. The same way RNG goes for late game botlane scaling and teamfights. C9 is supposed to win early game like IG did against Fnatic during the group stage, but they didn't. Fnatic plays standard even tough many teams say their pacing is weird and unpredictable at times. So there isn't ant stylistic Edge yet they got demolished. Macro wise C9 didn't show anything, G2 on the other hand applied 1-3-1 against KT. A feat C9 wouldn't be able to pull off. C9 used Vitality style of play , which is more simplistic than G2 style to pull of. So G2 >C9
@@geminix365 I just noticed English has way too many words that are written very similar. It's interesting you can write a whole sentence and it is possible to alter every word just a bit to get a completely different word.
@6:00 Gold+Silver vs Gold+Gold is not a bad assessment, but you forgot one thing. Caps is magical. Rookie is lane dominant, he's mechanically amazing, his CS is ~perfect, his teamfighting is strong. But you know what wins FNC about 20% of their games, games they sometimes have no right to win? Magical Caps plays!
@@6666Imperator in groups games which were not to qualify for next round ofcourse.... games that didnt actually matter to ig and still rookie was winning vs caps it was broxa who had to be 2nd mid for caps to get some gold.
G2 got stomped by The shy only not by the entire team since thet were still getting kill when the shy was not here..and c9 got stomped in team fight so FNC stomp in teamfight and IG stomp in solo lanes
People seem to forget that Elo was actually up CS and winning lane over, and mid and jungle hanks carried Viktor. Totally not the wrong idea, arguably not even the wrong execution.
Lol caps was exposed against rookie and ming this series. Cant hold his own against top-tier laners with competent junglers. Hes still pretty good, but if he doesnt go even/win early game he kind of ints....
Faker-mid Theshy-top Uzi-adc Wolf-support(what i can think of rn) Broxah-jungler(idk, change my mind!) What do you guys think? Who should be in a dream team?
Why are you guys so confident on IG when they were stomped by FNC in game 2 and tiebreaker of group stage? 3-0 FNC easy, just ban the powerful carries for the shy and IG has like 0% chance of winning a teamfight.
@@hdbngrscrew If, they snowball the early game hard there won't be big team fights they can throw because that's their problem they legit throw games. Broxah is also a much better jungler than Ning and their bot is better than IG's. FNC also have the wildcard Caps who can throw or carry at any moment. If The shy is in top performance carry mode, then I would favor them over FNC. Because he and Rookie are just really good. I even think as a team they have been getting better throughout the tournament. Yes, FNC beat them twice in groups but that doesn't mean they will have an easy time doing it again. I'm also biased because I favored them over RNG at the start of the tournament. Also, you can't ban all of IG carries because if they are blue side they can first pick Rookie or The shy chosen carry and pick the others next rotation. Don't have to wait for the second ban phase if you are confident you will do well with your matchup. The shy is better than sOAZ and can't think of that other guy name. I think Rookie is probably slightly better than Caps. They will have to ban Urgot and the other two is who knows. So, you either spend two bans on either one of them or split it by banning 1 mid and 1 top. Thinking that they can pinch all their champions isn't likely to happen Headbanger.
GameofPain I can see what you are telling, but I think it's okay to let The Shy play Aatrox, Urgot, Fiora... the only one im worried about would be Jayce and I think will be banned all games. That said I also think The Shy got overhyped A LOT due to G2's poor early games in their series against IG, remember that The Shy lost lanes against Smeb in Kt-IG series and didn't stomp Bwipo any of the two games he played vs fnatic. Also, if Broxah plays for the top side with early game jungler like Lee or Xin and gets Bwipo ahead is gg, I respect rookie a lot as a player but he can't carry games on his own (we saw him stomp caps and still lose), and don't get me started on JackeyLove if he is a little bit tilted, haven't seen any high highs low lows player like this in a pro team in my life
Francesco it doesn't really mean anything. Bo5 are another thing, and IG faced tougher opponents than fnc did. G2 and KT > C9 and EDG Anyway, the matchup is incredibly close, and everything can happen.
I'm not saying "oh yeah sure it will be a 3-0" i'm just saying that, unlike in other world finals we have already seen these 2 team play and Fnc lost only the 1' game.
@@PerishSong94 Dont make bad comparaison. Who says to u IG can beat EDG or C9, or who says G2 or KT can beat C9 or EDG? All world predictions are wrong cuz comparaison like that. The only true way to compare two teams is to see the result of both teams confrontation. For the moment FNC 2 1 IG. But this doesnt mean great thing. So u right when u say everything can happen, only that.
Weak point of IG is team communication. The Shy has language barrier with teammates, it make gameplay unpredictable. This is also the reason The Shy performed like a solo game player than a real team player in semifinal. He did 1 vs 4 because he didn't understand mandarin communications between his teammates. The entire game actually relies on his personal skills.
Why don't they have a third place match at worlds? It would be so great to see. The fans of the teams could still watch them play for 3rd as an opening and have the finals the next day :)
G2 took RNG out of the tournament whereas C9's highlight is getting out of groups thanks to Vitality showing the way + tilting Gen.G off planet earth. And you even need to think who would win G2 vs C9 ?!? Cmon...
Yeah, but without heimerdinger, GET really only showed one way they could win games AND showed that they were pretty inept at team fight comps. Don't misunderstand me, I'm not saying G2 is worse than C9; I'm saying, based on their drafts, it seems like G2's coaching staff weren't aware of why they were able to beat RNG. Granted, C9's double Ekko pick into a losing lane was also weird and dissapointing. Wait, did I have a point? Oh yeah, C9 would win because I like them better 😉
C9 was one teamfight away from making RNG a second seed. If they didn't turn at baron and instead ran, they woulda made the tournament favorite become a second seed. You point is now null and void. Have a nice day.
@@Domizzzzzzz cool, we arent talking fnc, we are talking g2. Just like how C9 is an outlier of strength in NA, FNC is an outlier of strength of EU, so it's a no brainer that EU > NA, and therefore FNC > C9.
Rawr (Yes. G2 won 3-2 over RNG. But C9 get to say they 3-0'd a Korean team. Plus, Cloud 9 did better in a tougher Group than G2 did. I don't necessarily think C9 is better, but it seems like a lot of EU fans are unjustifiably laughing at the prospect of C9 winning, which I think is odd.)
E VO C9 did beat RNG one game and had another close game, sure they lost twice but so did G2 they could’ve won as well, especially if they played the way they did against Afreeca
E VO That does not mean that C9 couldnt beat G2. C9 got to semis and demolished afreeca, TL didnt get out of groups, but TL still smashed C9 3:0 in NA Finals
I feel like the IG-G2 stomp felt way more stompy due to G2 being extremely poorly prepared for IG. Fnatic on the other hand stomed even with C9 having prepared alot of countermeasures.
I think C9 got stomped harder cuz the expectations was a close game and a lot of people even think C9 was going to win, on the other side G2 wasn't expected to win cuz IG solo lane are better
It's IG's cup, fanatic has no chance I am a fanatic fan from the bottom of my heart, LOVE FANATIC hope you get the world's cup and my feeling is wrong Fanatic fans, like PLEASE!! ❤FANATIC FOR EVER❤
i felt sad for yankos. i mean dude cant even spell his name right. there is a certain way a bot lane moves around when they realize that if they display 1% aggro, they will get killed. i can instantly recognize it bc i do it sometimes. i saw that in luc+braum in game 3.
Now that NA is out. I wake up in nyc ready to make fun of my Chinese friends or my EU friends that morning. Honestly, both are so cocky this year but at least EU fans don’t laugh at other region making mistakes. Let’s go FNC, show them no mercy. IG is a team with Koreans hard carrying 3 above average Chinese players even if they win it means nothing to me.
C9 handled Viktor badly. Pick Annie top. Or put Jensen top with Ahri and Licorice mid with Galio. Bigtime coaching fail, especially given they had time to prepare.
