@@520overland my biggest concern is the structural integrity of the home setup vs the regular LT model. Do you think it is more susceptible to breaking/ breaking easier than the LT version?
@@Rjbalver I’ll let you know how it goes long term for me but yes, I think it is more susceptible to be bending. I would trust the square aluminum tubing on the LT more than I would would the round aluminum tubing on the LTE.
Not many videos about the LTE version. This is the best one and includes a 270LT and 270LTE comparison. I am trying to decide which is best for my mid-size 22 Ranger FX4. Subscribed, and will look for your long-term review.
Depending on how you mount it I would go with the larger 270LT especially if you have the room for it! If you live in a more windy area I would also recommend the 270LT as the supports on that are beefier. Let me know if you have any questions! Always glad to help!
Thanks for posting this video! I was on the fence about ordering the LTE but i felt that the LT was too much awning for my little 1st gen CR-V i hope the LTE awning will hold up to the high winds in the desert.🤞 Well I guess only time will tell. I'll be looking forward to more of your videos on this awning in the Future.
1st gen crvs are dope! I’ve been wanting to add some quick mount points to both my vehicles to be able to swap over the awning from the Jeep to my 1st gen CRV as well but haven’t gotten around to it.
@@520overland my biggest challenge will be to get the awning mounted hight enough to clear the back hatch without it looking too awkward in the closed position.
It’s the GoRhino SRM 500 65inon their SRM roll case mount kit. They also have a rain gutter mounting kit. It’s holding up great!! Planning on doing a long term review soon! Thanks for watching!
Thank you for this review. You said if you had purchased the passenger-side one, you would have lost the tailgate being covered. Is it not the opposite? The passenger-side awning would give you more coverage for the tailgate, no?
Thanks for watching! I think what I met is I would have lost coverage area for myself to the tailgate. With driver side one I get more coverage for myself but with the trade off of losing a bit of coverage for my table on the tailgate.
How far out does the awning measure from the side of the vehicle when deployed?! I’m looking into these I have a standing awning now and it goes out about 7 feet curious if this is close to that or not
