@atharaghazuhayrilefendi oh hi there fellow genshin impact fan what are you doing this far out from the community where it is safe and CABBAGE IS THAT ACTUALLY YOU WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE THIS FAR OUT FROM THE COMMUNITY WHERE IT IS SAFE (NAHIDA)!?!.
I went into a Korean grocery and said Gamsahamnida to the cashier, but she didn't even look up just "mmhmm" like she was annoyed, so this doesn't always work...😅
@@mynameisnotavailablehereeh yeah you can’t really expect people to be shocked you learned one word 😅 respectfully, obviously. it’s really kind to try and learn that!!
@@cristic767you mean kdramas right it’s the same thing but anyways just the one in the she said in the video queen of tears it’s so popular in Korean even tho I’m not Korean but I watched it that’s why I recommend it!
I've been meaning to watch that on Netflix, can anyone tell me if it's a good series to watch? 😅 Edit: Thanks for all the comments!! I will certainly find it on Netflix and start watching!!
That moment when youre not korean but you understood all of it. Im freaking it out now. 😂😂😂 Edit : is understanding a language really that impossible for the naysayers? Give a language a chance and you'll know it at least passively 🤷🏻♀️
@@wildwitchwestyou'll get there. Expose yourself to the language and you'll learn the phrases passively. Once that's done if you wanna take it to the next level practise using them actively. Hope that helps. Oh and kdramas help a ton. 😂
Omg im half Korean so i try to pull the Korean card when I'm out and realize the owner is Korean, but sometimes since I'm a mix it doesn't work so I'll come back and bring my mom! Works all the time and my mom ends up making a new friend. Lol recently got a great discount on my daughter's prom dress and free alterations! Lol
Half of Dutch people when seeing another Dutch person in another country: yay. We are now vacationing together! The other half: oh fuck. Dutch people. Shh don't speak. That way. That way! Hope they didn't see us.
As a german, that nothing special. Feels like we are everywhere 😅 When I was in Korea this year, we heard germans everyday 😅 It's more surprising to find a non German speaking German or a menu or flyer in German 😱
no stop you're making me think of that one white dude who transitioned his race to be korean and now goes around claiming "the woke people" convinced him to do it. like no one told you to change races we were against it LMAO just reminded me of that whole shit show
Queen of the tears ❤❤❤❤❤ I started watching when it was coming out episode by episode and I couldn’t wait till they released another one But I should never think how whould end up like this ❤😂
It should be named " king of tears " he was the one crying all along the drama 😂 , i watched it when it was released it's the best this year so far and of my top 5 in general i loved it ❤
I love going places with my mom because of this lol. The Korean card is truly one of the coolest things I see in action lol. I’m trying to take her back to Korea to visit her hometown soon
Yup…. I work in a place…. And when I see or find out about customers that are from my home country…. I let them use the home country card too 😜. Beeeeecaaause….. is super special to find someone who comes from the same place, and speaks the same language. It’s like a warm blanket. 😊
My husband used to live in Daegu... and he fell in love with the food and people. So much so, we drive 4 hours round trip to eat bulgogi because we live in a rural town. I love watching your videos so much! His love for Korean food and culture has transferred to the whole family. Thanks for making these!
My mom is Korean, one time when we went shopping at Costco a older Korean lady that was working at a sample stand was just stuffing samples into my mom's purse, she was too sweet.
Love the random queen of tears reference, i love the show like I cried once i finished lol. The biggest compliment someone can get is looking like hong hae in
My dad always hates RU-vidrs I watch but HE even watches you! (I love watching your videos before flights because I wanna know how to be safe just in case anything happens because I get flight anxiety)
i actually had a similar experience where a Japanese flight attendant heard me speaking Japanese and actually gave my family and I all an extra lunch 😂
I’ve noticed this as a queer person with other queer people. I think minorities tend to look out for their own. Plus, it’s just nice sometimes to be with people you don’t have to explain your existence too, whether that’s your gender or your racial or cultural identity. Sure, diversity is the spice of life, but sometimes you just want to be able to RELAX and not have to explain yourself- it’s good to have some people *like you* in your life to hang around with, and it’s always nice to meet another stranger who shares something in common with you out in the world. 😊
And when people use that argument against massive immigration you cry, but what to expect from people primarily identifying themselves via their s*xual orientation anyway ?
It does. 😊 It's happened to me (not Korean, though). I was on an Etihad flight (Abu Dhabi to USA) and there were few ppl of my nationality on that flight - most were whites or Indians. I'm Asian but not Korean. There was 1 FA in that flight who recognized that we're of the same nationality. She was super nice to me and gave me a bag of goodies before the flight landed (pack of cards, some toys for kids, freebies, etc). Not an upgrade to business class but it was a nice surprise. 👍😉
Being kind is so beneficial. I never bother doing anything because I bring my own snacks and read during the ride with music, but my sister has picked up a habit of writing thank you cards to the staff and she always leaves with snacks, some of them aren’t even an option in the carts so I have no idea where they come from.
Truely a classic Asian mom moment : The more friends you make, from just a few conversations, the more benifit you get and as a return to show respect you as well give something back later on or the next time you meet them.
Wow Jeenie, I didn't need subtitles 😅. Loveeeeeeeee the content. All your characters felt from a different person. 😂 Plus I felt watching an actual scene from KDrama. 😂
I work in a korean restaurant... this is really happening ( I mean the freebies) But the respect your countrymen have for each other amazes to me ❤ Very respectful❤
I got the Portuguese card first class snacks AND during my vacation when I speak Portuguese with my parents I get treated like royalty (me, my mom, and my dad do) I got to go to first class stuff and even was able to take pictures around the first class restaurant LOTS of workers there wanted to join in my pictures and I have so many child hood memories, never went on vacation since
Mom compliments Jeannie’s pretty appearance. Jeannie gets embarrassed- she does a mini bow while turning slightly away to avoid direct eye contact then covers her smile with both hands. Jeannie has perfected Korean’s modesty - even the fake one. Academy Award performance worthy of an Oscar. Jeannie is the best whenever she does her Korean stuff.
