I know this pastor. I grew up with him and he is legit. He preaches the true gospel. We have been trained to think just because some churches are larger and use gimmicks to illustrate a point or even if they enjoy prosperity that they are corrupt. That’s not always the case.

If this comes as a surprise to you , I apologize but I also suggest you educate yourself. B ) You can't really judge the past by modern standards and you can't dismiss the whole of something off of one negative facet of it. It's disingenuous and weakens your point. C) There are far better ways to critique scripture, it requires more effort and research, but it makes the critique so much more meaningful. You'll find most of the biggest intellectuals who critique and argue against religion, study the subject matter extensively. Look at Bart erhman and Christopher Hitchens for example. Enjoy your day☺️

Exactly. I'm usually cautious and skeptical when it comes to people preaching false doctrines and I don't hesitate to call them out. But in this case, I don't see why people in the comments are insinuating malicious intent by the pastor. Yeah, I probably wouldn't do myself, but hey, this is just a guy who is trying to be relatable to his audience. It's not that deep. He was just doing something cool with HUMILITY. You can literally see his humility in the way he spoke after it. It's church. Yes, we should be serious with teaching. But, we don't have to always be uptight. I think it was just a Pastor having fun. sometimes I think people are so religious that fun is a sin. That's one of the reasons Jesus rebuked the Pharisees. 460 rules and regulations that were not in the bible. So many that they were keeping people from Jesus. Revelation 18:4 “COME OUT OF HER MY PEOPLE!” The Believers are the Church~ “LIVING STONES STACKED ONE UPON ANOTHER & JESUS IS THE HEAD~CORNERSTONE.” Jesus told Peter, "I will build my church" (Matthew 16:18). THIS video does not show anything close to that. THIS video is all about putting all eyes on the Pastor. Why do they make church a show and entertainment when the focus should be on Jesus alone not the pastor. Jesus is Lord and we need to respect the house of worship.
It is better to enjoy a fun church where you will eventually learn something by heart. Than church that you go to just hear but never learn anything. Like a child, they learn by playing and having fun and laughing together. Or when Jesus taught they were together, he taught them, they laughed together, they enjoyed being around him. Very common now with buzz words for entertainment, especially with some of the songs. There is no reverence and they are not aware of the Holiness of God.and if He came into the room we would not be able to stand as he is so perfect and powerful.

I know bc I transferred away from one, to a very Bible-focused school. If you're not learning how to be a Bible scholar in seminary, it's a waste of $.

@@alexprieto8277 Because the Bible expressly says not to do this sort of thing. St Paul's first letter to the Corinthians, which served to right the wrongs in their church, says "everything should be done in a proper and orderly fashion", which this definitely goes against.

I been in white churches where i observed for minutes . . hours at a time.. lot of weird shit that's seen as normal. . you see less than 12 second video of THIS man and instantly deem it foolish. he was clearly just having fun with his church. not a big deal. K.I.M.

Well, I mean, the Bible has nothing against it, you can preach in any different form as long as it's not against scripture. Also, he didn't focus on the zipline, he focused on preaching the gospel.

Something that saddens me is when people feel like they need to say that “church is supposed to be a place for worship” or “we’ve lost touch of what church is really about”, there are “plays in the same building” which means this building is not only a church but some type of theater. The pastor was not trying to make the service all about him or do whatever mega churches are doing, he was simply trying to create a memorable experience for the attendees. Not everything someone does that’s different from what others do is done for malicious purposes, this was just a pastor who had an idea and wanted to make others laugh. This was not an every week occurrence but a one time joke for the church. For all the comments saying “I can’t believe churches” and “This is a mockery of our Heavenly Father” this is not a mockery of our Heavenly Father, but just a pastor wanting to make others smile. I know if this happened at my church I would probably remember the talk better!

Be aware of this kind of church and pastors.. they are praising themselves and showing off about themselves instead of God.. They don't preach the right word of God..
That’s what I was thinking. I know that God has a sense of humor, and I know that Hell is real. We need balance in everything. I have had loads of laughs in church with my Christian friends.

I have been to many of these churches on Sundays , where the Padtors are competing to see who has the most eye- catching, attention-getting-gimmick. Even in the music there is emphasis on attention getting gimmicks.
@@sarahbasto6520 it’s better just to give 10% to the poor and needy among us :) but some churches actually do good with the money they get. I had a pastor who was absent a lot and substitute pastors preached; the reason was because he constantly went to India once he saved up enough money and helped build fresh water wells around the poor. I’d give him 20% if I could afford ya know :/ 😇

Why should anyone care what the Bible says? It is a book of unknown authorship, and theres over 230 different versions of it in english alone. Not to mention the ridiculous errors starting on the very first page! It's 2023, you have access to the entirety of humanities knowledge in your pocket, and you are believing bronze age superstitions...
@@Yuki-qs5mt there is a huge line of division in that verse, it stipulates a serious condition; you must believe ON HIM, not just in HIM, and for those that don't, they get the Divine Justice of physical AND Spiritual death. John 3:16 is seen as a feel good verse by most believers, but the reality is, it's more of a warning.

Don’t judge the church if you’ve never been there. You don’t know what the entire sermon looked like after that. You don’t know the pastor nor anything else about that church. Just a 5 second clip
