That really really sucks. I literally just started a gun channel 4 months ago. I swear you would think they want MORE gun stuff that promotes proper handling and gun safety. It’s not hurting anyone but the legit people on here. Anywho, I will keep supporting. Keep it up brother. You’re awesome!

My son ran a HUGE military channel with 550k subscribers. He was liked and made a ton of money. Even had his own app. He was first banned first by FB, then (Facebook's Instagram where you are going) then banned by Google and RU-vid. They banned his "App" because there was crossed rifles in the logo. The problem is that he doesn't lean left

Piet, love your channel. You do an excellent job with your videos and you are so knowledgeable about shooting. As far as the Tube. Remember it IS all about the money. For you, but also for them. They make money off of you. I watch so many channels that all day the same thing. I can’t move because no one is there. Well, someone has to be first! If all the channels I watch move to a new platform, I’m quite certain all of your viewers will go there also. It doesn’t happen by magic. Maybe if you started posting in both places. I know it’s a lot of work, but as you said, this is your livelihood. Give it a chance and test the waters. We as consumers will never be able to change things if we don’t work together. Try it. As a consumer of your videos, I would follow you on whatever platform you went to. I’m also a subscriber. If this means going to Patreon or whatever platform you and others like you choose to go to, I’ll be there. You have one of the BEST channels for precision rifle/competition/hunting videos-it would be a tragedy to lose that.

Here in Canada, a year ago AR 10, AR 15, rugger mini 14 and other guns illegally banned over night due to the RCMP’s negligence. We had an unfortunate event where multiple people lost their lives to a crazy guy with an AR 15, but leading up to the incident the RCMP where warned about him and did nothing. Funny enough if the ban was in place before the event it still would’ve happened. The world is a scary place right now, don’t give up your rights and freedoms, stay safe and keep advocating for gun owner rights my man!

Ridiculous isn't it Piet. I've done a video on my channel too which is mostly thermal hunting and optics. I literally covered a thermal scope with a "bird" and the analytics missed it (I used a pink di1do 😂) 100% agree, just simply moving to another video platform is not the solution we want. Channels like ours don't experience growth if it's only a small subscriber audience only.

Sorry to hear this man. Especially since it messes with your livelihood and freedoms. No one likes to see a fellow firearms enthusiast, and friend suffering due the actions of others. In your case social platforms. Its ridiculous how much they overstep, and monotize everything to a point that basically everything that you post is no longer deemed fit. Especially anything firearm related. I made a fun short simple video the day after Halloween involving 4 pumpkins, and a small conservative container of taranite. I shot it from 75 yards away with my 6.5CM and fairly effectively fertilized my back yard with pumpkin debris. Thought it was cool, so I posted it to facesuck and within a couple hrs it had been removed for going against community standards.

Might want to thing about a fail over channel on Rumble or something like that.

I feel so bad for all of you gun guys.. I learn so much from channels like yours and Garand Thumb etc.. it's offensive that RU-vid is taking away our freedom of speech and our freedom to learn. It's channels like yours that help our community become better more responsible gun owners and shooters. The cowards at RU-vid need to support channels like yours so that we can get rid of all the misinformation. You are right. We need someone that shoots to look at these videos because it is just Ludacris that good people like yourself can't make a living giving us such wonderful free instruction and advice. What can we do to get RU-vid to listen to the audience?

All the weapons you tubers need to have a summit together and figure out what plat form to go to or need to get together and talk to you tube!!! Everyone just keeps trying to at it alone when our favorite RU-vidrs should be one unit!!!

I have tried checking some of the other platforms, but there isn't much there. I also think the functionality of those platforms are lacking. There isn't a way to rewind, nor fast forward on some of them. So if I wanted listen to a certain part again, it is very hard. Hopefully someone comes up with something soon that has the functionality of youtube. Of course we also need the content prividers to all move to the new platform as well.

They do understand guns. They also understand that if they can get away with blocking reckless or malicious content, then they can get away with “accidentally” blocking legitimate content that they don’t agree with. The only way to change RU-vid’s practices is a lawsuit. There are plenty of similar contributors that would join you. Additionally when you win your lawsuit, you should collectively use your funds to start a new video network and make billions. Cheers

A lot of people can’t afford to be a patreon supporter for every guntuber. It’s one thing for RU-vid to pay you out of their own ad revenue. The idea that viewers will just replace that money is appealing I’m sure, but it’s a bit unrealistic, seeing as we’re the people who are exploited for profit by the businesses advertising on RU-vid. We work for the same businesses and are paid as little as possible. That’s how the world works. RU-vid is being extremely unfair to guntubers, there is no debate to be had there. The vast majority of channels I encounter show absolutely nothing untoward. It’s all about safety, proficiency and effectiveness. There is an easily identifiable categorical bias towards any channel that has guns on it. It’s getting downright weird. RU-vid has a responsibility to compensate people who make them money. Gun channels bring a lot of people to RU-vid for all kinds of info that you can’t get anywhere else.

These changes on social media at the moment are totally messed up! Byt vas en byt terug!

Unfortunately I feel the current and future plans with the majority of social platforms in general is to remove firearm visibility full stop, regardless of the type of content. Like you mention this is incredibly disappointing, because the people who aren't promoting safe firearm practices and do not care about the rules on RU-vid, or other sites, will continue to post regardless of the consequences. And in that situation only the honest and responsible users will lose out.

I'm going buy some merch right now just because this pisses me off as well and it's not my channel!!!!!

Hi Piet, just a thought. Have you got a website where people can go to see your products, get updates and view a few of your videos. Make a special login area for your Patreon for full access to all your content. No one can control your space on your own website, like Instagram, Facebook, you tube ens.

The one problem is that there should be a delay with every video people make lets say you can up to 10. Those 10 ought to be watched by RU-vid checked by the people who run the Social Media Sites need to look in a whole lot deeper into all subjects that being posted weekly, daily. You can look at the youtube channels, videos to see what is real or fake. Example Veteran reacts but this person is a STUD BOY. Another YT channel mentioned this Military Combat Network MCN, he does youtube as a hobby due to the work he does. Lets not let them win

One of the ways you guys get additional views is through mentioning other's content and people searching topics. You've just to to have the critical mass to make the move successful. This is frustrating, I can't afford to support every channel that I watch through patreon or other paid subscriptions. I wish there was someplace where this content wasn't restricted to the extent that RU-vid is restricting things. I mean there used to be some people on RU-vid that did some shady stuff with homemade weapons and things, but restricting channels like this really is dumb.

Hey Piet. I'm looking at this another way. At the end of this year I'm done with youtube. I will no longer watch content on their app, I'm switching my phone so it's not installed automatically. Tyranny and Monopolies are a wonderful thing. Personal defense channels in America teach people about safety and self protection. If RU-vid can defund these channels, less people can get knowledge and feel confident and safe when protecting their lives and the lives of others. (Which is what they want.) A fearful people is a controllable people.
