The Taurus prior to the G series pistols was a totally different company, different management, different facilities, different philosophies. I have owned the Millenium Pro, the G2c, and the G3c, shot thousands of rounds through them, and had no mechanical issues with any of them. For me, they are in the goldilocks catagory of size, features, and reliablity.
I've had the G3C for three years. I have never had a single problem with it in well over 1500 rounds. I travel extensively throughout Florida, Georgia and Alabama and carry it with me everywhere I go.Great little gun, great price and great reliability in an EDC.
I just bought a Taurus g3c Toro I love it so much best carry I've ever owned and I've been thru a lot of them including sig p320. I dont understand how anyone could hate on them mine been reliable right out the box I carry federal punch ammo.
Same here. My wife and I both have Taurus G series pistols and I carry a G3C every day. I have a G3 also and man is it nice to shoot and super accurate too. I have nothing but good things to say about my Taurus pistols!
I'm in South Florida too with a G3c as my first gun. The stainless steel version isn't completely rustproof if you get body sweat on it, so be sure to wipe off sweat and apply a little oil. My G3c came really dry. I suggest getting a good amount of oil into the trigger bar and other internals, but if the trigger pull still feels too long, Hogue grips helps a lot to fill up the hand.
@TaurusUSA2k24 The G series G2c is where it all started replacing the Millennium series G2. Interesting that the GX4, TS9, and TX22 are not part of the G series. The G3 line has just grown by leaps and bounds. So has the GX4 and TX22. The G2c has become the Taurus benchmark pistol. Got my G2c in 2018 for right around $200 and its accurate and still flawless. I stop counting on my pistols after 600 rounds. The G2c just eats everything. Not ammo picky in the least.
I love my G3C. I have a JX Tactical 'Fat guy" holster for it and love that too. For a person needing/wanting a ccw on a limited budget, they can feel very well protected with this 12 round, 9mm option for under $300. I'm not going to say you are wasting your money paying more for another, 'sexier' pistol, but I will say you just don't need to to have excellent protection. Comes standard with 3 mags! Great review - thanks!
Great pistol. Mine took a bit of some break in to perform well, but I haven't had the old issues in the past couple of range visits it attended. I'm planning on getting the TORO upgrade, but keeping the old slide for when we throw the CAA MCK on it. Great way to turn that G3C into a little PCC for better home defense capability.
I got my G3C on Black Friday at Cabela's $199.99 price, price matched at Sportsmans Warehouse because Cabelas was out already. Same price the last two years. I find it strange some people carry a compact pistol with the extended magazine in it...mine carries with the 12 round mag, and my reload is an 18 round Mecgar SIG P226 mag with a sleeve. The Mecgar is 2/3 of the price of a Taurus 17 round mag, and made by the same people! I am putting an XSSights night sight on my G3C, so if I want to use an optic I will just have to put the slide from my G3 TORO with the green dot on it. I use Hornady Critical Defense/Duty ammo. It is not always the "best" in tests but it is always pretty near the top, and it feeds reliably even in guns that don't like hollow points, not that any of my G's have that problem. Anyway, Summer is here so it is time to shoot up all that "old" carry ammo and buy new stuff! {!-{>
When I carry my G3C, I carry the 12-rounder and keep the 15-rounder in the pocket for the reload. Ughhh. I hate the G3C's hollow point feed finickiness. I carry Speer Gold Dot 124 gr just because I carried it as an LEO. They cycle in the gun just fine, but hand-cycling them can be an issue.
I enjoyed the review, a lot of great information not a lot of fluff and didn't drag on in too many details! I have the G3X and enjoy it, trying to improve the accuracy with it but may have been more of a cheap ammo instance. But overall I am crazy about the gun. I look forward to more videos
its my EDC also! actually I prefer it over my sig p365 or my S&W shield plus simply because I shoot it straighter....Which I no is weird but for me it's true. thanks for the video
I own a spectrum a g2c and a g3 went out today and got the g3 c to add to my collection also have the g2s I carry the g2c and g2s as much as my sig p365 great video I did on a Glock g43 got rid of it didn’t like the feeling n the hand.will be adding the g3c to. My rotation. Great video by the way.
@@AmmunitionDepotOfficial If you're really paranoid you can get a round in the chamber without the firing spring cocked by taking the slide off and putting it back together with a round in it. The trick is when you push the barrel back into place, you have to have the rim of the cartridge slide under the tab, so you gotta get the bullet part way out of the barrel for that to fit in its spot. The first trigger pull will be full spring until it fires tho, so you won't have that wall before it goes.
I've been using the DeSantis Nemesis and Super Fly pocket holsters. They protect the trigger and have a slightly grippy texture outside that keeps the holster in your pocket on the draw.
Subscribe to Taurus and you be amazed of supplies for your pistol. In the engineering of Taurus I read that a Walther fellow is working for Taurus . I have a G3 TORO and TX22 and they have been awesome. Great Video
Of all the research, the videos, the articles and the comments, every single gun make and model has issues - all of them. It can be difficult to choose what's best. The 'G' series seems to be very reliable. Research... There are lemon guns with all the makers.
I’ll still never carry this weapon. Had bought one for myself and had failure to eject/failure to cycle issues. Not only that, my sights came off loose when I shot it a few times first trip to the range! Maybe I was an extreme case, but I’m a believer that a product needs to be functional and effective,if it’s marketed as such, right out of the box; and I will not be bringing my business to Taurus anytime soon.
@@AmmunitionDepotOfficial I'm standing Firm on Every American should own a Taurus G3C GX4 Variant & G19 the Holy 3 G's.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. I'm here in Palm Beach 561 ❤
