Review! Taurus G3c Compact 9mm 

Just bought one today I’ll never leave home without it

Got mine a few weeks ago & put about 150 rounds through it...shoots like a dream

I’ve owned a G2 for years and have always enjoyed shooting it. This is the upgrade I’ve been waiting for! Thanks for the video!

recently bought a g2c and I'm loving it. I'm really keeping up to date with what Taurus is dishing out. Seeing this G3 and G3C really has me hopeful. Looking forward to a G4 with much more features

I have four of the older pt111 g2s. On two of them had to pull out the striker and clean the channel it sits in and then dry fire a couple hundred times to get rid of a funky catch in the trigger. Once I did that and got used to how far back I needed to pull the trigger before the break, I now love these guns. They eat EVERYTHING I have put into them with NO malfunctions. No FTE, no failures of any kind! Great $200 guns.

I don't think there's enough here to make me upgrade from my G2c but this certainly looks like a great gun for the money.

If I hadn't just bought a G2C 3 months ago, I'd buy this G3C without a doubt. My G2C has been great. Nice review and it's nice to know that it's the same size as my G2C so I could use the same holsters.

that Gun checks all the Boxes for me. If I didn't already have a XD 40 Subcompact that I carry in the winter, and a M&P Shield 9mm that I carry in the summer, I would definitely Buy two G3c's.. Black & Bi - Tone... Taurus did a Great Job Again! and yes, I'm old enough to to remember that a person would've never said that about Taurus

I own a G2c and G3. One thing that I like better on the G2c is the style of the loaded chamber indicator - a pop-up that you can feel. The G3 and, now, the G3c have a different type that you can only see from the top and you must have light to see it - which is not technically and indicator, just a hole to see into the chamber. The pop-up on the G2c allows you to see it from the side (and it has red paint) and also feel it (if you were in a low light or totally dark situation).

Thanks for not having a musical intro that goes on for too long. I usually fast forward. My first visit here and didnt have to bother with it. Much appreciated.

I have never been a taurus fan always heard bad things about them never took the time to try one, until just recently I seen the g2c and done my own homework I looked all over the net for good reviews and bad reviews to my surprise I didn't find the bad I found out that the g2c is a solid pistol very dependable and perhaps the best bang for my money needless to say I'm super happy with my choice & I'm very confident that this g3c will be the same & I will be adding one or 3 to my collection.

The front rail goes a little deeper towards the trigger guard. The extra mag that it includes (3 in g3c, only 2 with g2c) makes it the same price as the G2C. G3C is floating around at several retailers for $249.99

I picked up mine up about a month ago, I love it I’ve put a couple hundred rounds through my friends G2C with no issues and last but not least, the Glock lovers or Glock Heads just won’t give Taurus their props on that G series... The nailed it

I'll get one as soon as I can find it. I have many expensive guns but prefer the size and concealability of my g2c. Nice carry gun. So if the few flaws like triggers get better, than I'm in for a g3c. Bonus is it'll fit my g2c holsters and save even more money!

I own their G2C. Got the G3 too. They are good guns. No issues that made me second guess trusting them with my life. In fact, my G3 is my house gun. Thats my gun I would most likely use. My SW is a safe queen essentially.

You have the first generation PT-111 G2, with slide lock . The G2c came out only a year or so ago. G3c looks great! Light rail looks slighty longer too!

I've never owned a Taurus. I've owned a 2 Glocks, A Springfield XD, a Walther PPS m2, and a Sig P365. That being said, these things have always had me curious. No joke, anyone I have known that has owned a Taurus loved it. The people who shit on them, tend to have never handled one. This seriously looks like a great gun for the price. I don't know if I'll pick one up because guns are something I will splurge on and an extra $200 for a Glock doesn't feel like a big deal to me. For someone who has to put food on the table for their family and needs protection, these things honestly seem like a hell of a deal.

So as a first time gun owner I've hit the sweet spot between budget and quality in the g3c. Sweeet!

I will be trading my G19 for this pistol. Just love everything about this pistol. The first handgun I ever owned was a Taurus .38 Spec. That I purchased in 1985. This will be the last one as I retire soon. Cannot think of a better bang for your bucks as this pistol.

I don't like it not having the chamber loaded tactile indicator, but a better trigger might be nice. The chamber loaded peephole works OK in daytime but not at all at night. I inquired if the reason they did it was to allow for optics in the future, but they would confirm nor deny... If they get an optics ready G3C, I might upgrade, but til then, I'll carry my G2C every day.

I've carried quite a few postols since I got a ccw and my old pt111 millennium g2 was my favorite to carry. It's not nearly as smooth as my sig p320 nor as accurate. That being said the Taurus has the restrike capability wich I think every gun should have and it's much easier to carry then the p320. I also like the Taurus safety lever. It simple but effective. If this gun is under 250$ with 3 mags this gun is the gun to buy and carry.

The trigger upgrade makes it a winner. The slide finish has been a long time coming. Optic ready version soon maybe?

I have the older pt111g2 and I have upgraded everything on the inside of the slide and fiber optic sights.

I have a pt 111 g2....its a 2013 model.got it on gunbroker brand new last September....been great.

I picked up my g3c yesterday it's my second handgun my other is a Springfield xd9 tactical, I wanted something for cc , the Taurus feels great in my hand, love the grip texture also love the coating on the slide it's nice and grippy, since I now live in Florida I tend to have sweaty hands , I haven't shot it yet but it feels great , I tried various guns in a store & the little Taurus felt better than all the other guns thanks for the review

Was thinking about getting me a glock 19 but the g3c has my eyes on it a lil more right now 2 extra 12rd mag to come with it can't go wrong i have a g2c with 4000rd that has gone in it with no problems so i no for a fact the g3c is going to be super amazing

Several Acadamy locations in Texas (Don't know about other states) have it available with a laser sight for around 325. You're able to buy it online with a seven-day hold and pick it up in the store.

I have been looking at the G2c for a while and think I will "pull the trigger" on getting this instead. Tarus has been listening to their customers and have upgraded everything that had a lot of complaints on the G2c with the new G3c. It will be fun trying to find one in the next 5 to 6 months, but I can wait. My 2 Beretta's are just fine for EDC until I find a G3c to purchase.

Wish you could have compared the G2c to this G3c, because the G2c grip was almost too sandpapery, and now I'm curious about the G3c grippiness. Big difference between the G2 and G2c grip wise. Sadly bought a 2nd G2c last month and now I wish I didn't jump the gun, so to speak.

I am one of the few I think that has been able to actually find a G3c. The chain store I bought from never has correct website "in stock" labeling. So I kept calling on the afternoon of the delvieries and the next day. After a month or so, on a Tuesday, I called and "Yes, we have two that just came in". I was on my Bike and at the store in about 45 minutes. The store is 40 miles away. Glad I kept calling. I have shot but dont own a G2c and if I had owned one, I wouldnt run out and buy the G3c unless you just want to add to a collection for some reason. I'd spend my money on something else. Do you have for example a hammer fired semi like the Taurus TH9 or TH9c? I have the TH9 full size on order and awaiting shipment.

The G3c seems to be a very good weapon. I like mine. Guns are like cars. Ford, Chevrolet , Dodge. Taurus, Colt, Glock. To each is own. Enjoy what you have. 😎

Picked one up for 260$ and I shot 400rds right out of the box and had no misfires and ate steel, aluminum and all the brass I fed it!

Just got the laser light combo for the taurus g3c

Just bought one today.

I'm a Glock fan boy but have been impressed with the G3 and G3c. I now have three and trust them all, they are a lot of gun for the money and it's the handgun I recommend to new shooters. I tell people to think of it as a Glock with a thumb safety.

It is nice that Taurus left that silly slide lock when they made the G2C. I had a bad extractor after about 5,000 rounds. The double feeds made removal of the magazine VERY challenging. The scallops to aid in mag removal on the G3C are a welcome edition in my opinion. I would like to see someone to malfunction drills with both to see if it really is different.

Would the g3 be okay for a daily carry and concealed carry?

Bought a G3C as an EDC for my daughter. A real straight shooter. Accurate. Waiting for a small red dot that has an easy install.

I think taruas got it together up there gun game. I got the g2c its good shoots well and good looking gun. I would buy the g3c.

I think the grip panel is the same as the g2c the one you're comparing it to it the pt111 g2 still great comparison but they had a recent upgrade a couple years ago to the g2c. I have own each the millennium pt111 the pt111 g2 and the g2c and I think the g3c will be amazing specially with Glock sights

I just got one for 257.00, I got it by luck, could not believe it, also came with total of 3-mags!!!!

Just handle a g3 first before going with a c model, they're very easily concealed in the same holster can barely tell a difference when carrying, we have a g2c and g3, I eventually realized I can easily carry a g17 iwb so there's that too I'll gladly trade a little comfort for performance and capacity

About the stippling: You appear to have the second gen G2 (slide on yours says "PT111 G2", slide on mine says "G2c") not the third gen G2c. Anyway, the 3rd gen, G2c, which I DO have, has the stippling pads the same size as yours, but raised like the new G3c.

So the clerk at my gun store today, was pretty direct about how he didn’t think that this model would last particularly long. He said it was only suitable for people who didn’t envision doing a whole lot of shooting with it. Did acknowledge that it would very likely run just fine while it did last. What is your sense of its durability?

It's nice to see that they've improved the rear sight but using a Glock dovetail. But what about the front sight as it is screwed in much like a Glock. Will it accept Glock front sights or is it still too proprietary size for Taurus only? No sense in upgrading sights and using Glock dovetail for one site at the other site is not also Glock compatible. I only ask cuz everybody talks about Glock rear sight but they never mention the front sight.

Well after figuring out it doesn't like amscor ammo, which all my other gun shoot just fine, the front sight fell off after about the 50th round.. just saying... ...

Purchased the g3 as soon as it came out, and will be purchasing the g3c as soon as it’s available in stores for my lady / curious to see if the g3 mags will fit the g3c, I don’t see why not

I have 3 gripes with the G3C. The new sights are difficult to pick up. The grip texture is max aggressive, it's far too abrasive. The take up on the trigger is about a mile long. Overall I like the gun and think its worth the money. I don't think its an "upgrade" its just slightly different.
