One of if not the best carbide lamp graffiti of any abandoned mine in all of Washington State.
Join us on this exploration of a abandoned copper mine dating to the early 1900s, where the echoes of pickaxes and the flicker of lamp lights still resonate through the corridors of time.
Many ghost towns, mines and other forgotten historic sites in Washington State have already disappeared from history and many more are being lost each year to the ravages of time, wildfire, vandalism, and intentional closure. In addition to our many years of photographic documentation of these important historic sites we are now attempting to video document as many sites as we can so there is a lasting record of these places for future generations.
We hope you enjoy what we do and will join us on our adventures through a bygone era of Washingtons rich and colorful history. Not only do we love the history we explore and document, but we truly enjoy sharing these sites and experiences with our followers and viewers.
We appreciate you and thank you for Watching!!

I love how old grafiti is usually cursive. Found some under the north bound ramps of the viaduct before it came down.

Nice, adventure guys, the cabin and dump site looked interesting, for sure enough to explore more. The blue mineralization in the mine could be azurite which is a copper ore. I am no geologist but that is my guess malachite I believe is more green. But I know Washington did/does have mines that had azurite in them. Thanks for another abandon mine adventure guys.

The blue veins on the walls reminds me of Turquoise.

It does have that look.

Turquoise is hydrated copper and aluminum phosphate. Usually it is found in copper mines. Finding some would be pretty cool 😎

There are abandoned coal mines near Renton. Don't go in any of them.

The blue colored stuff is copper in the raw.
