Mirpur is definitely the UK of Pakistan with around 80% British Pakistanis coming from Mirpur and the surrounding areas. My mum's side of family come from Mirpur and I still have relatives living there. But I have only been to Pakistan once back in 1993 so looks like you have been there more than me - I mean I have travelled to other places more than once like Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Maldives, Philippines, Singapore, Seychelles, Mauritius, Greece, Spain, Italy, Turkey, Morocco, USA, UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Egypt but surprisingly never been to Scotland, Wales and Ireland even though I am from Nottingham. But I think it is long overdue for me to visit Pakistan again.. And Irn Bru is my favourite fizzy drink too

The Mirpur police need to do something about the begging problem in Mirpur. Begging gangs from across Pakistan in particular Punjab are disturbing locals and guests. They should offer them housing and if they refuse they should be forced out. As horrible as that sounds a lot of them are part of begging gangs, offering housing will Sieve out the ones in genuine need.
