I'm from Brazil, Rio de Janeiro and I had the opportunity to live in Toronto for 5 years. I lived near Kensington Market and Chinatown and was always there on the weekends. Definitely one of the best tours in Toronto. Thank you for sharing ❤
Totally. The homeless you see are likely on drugs far more devastating and or suffering from major mental illness issues. Not a uniquely Toronto issue, but aside from Vancouver, maybe the hardest hit in Canada.
I lived in the city for 30+ years and I loved every minute of it.Only reason I"m not there is cos of health reasons, but I'm getting back to Toronto as soon as possible.
@@biking-viking-claus-andersen Lol buddy I lived at yonge and eglington for about a decade. Dont try to pretend walking isnt faster then the TTC most days
JUST STUPPLED ACROSS YOUR YOU TUBE SITE. GREAT. NICE TO SEE YOU ENJOYING OUR KENSINGTON MARKET. IT IS A GREAT PLACE ON A LAZY SAT OR SUN AFTERNOON. PAUL TORONTO
Hey guys, Kensington Market is one of my favourite places in Toronto to go to during summer time 💕 Greetings from a Romanian living in To 👋🙋🏻♀️ love your videos 😍
You should look up the history of the Jamaican patty in Toronto! Many people consider it Toronto's unofficial official food (the peameal bacon sandwich is the official food of Toronto) since it's so ubiquitous & everyone grows up eating it. While I'm on food - the sushi pizza was also invented in Toronto, at Nami restautant.
I live next to Kensington. That is, I own a house close by. It's a shit hole. It's always been a drug haven. Gangs are just to the south in the public housing as well. And these clowns tag everything. They spray paint everybody's house. 20 years ago at least the places were cheap and aimed at serving local people for groceries etc but now it's becoming overpowered by the fancy overpriced crew. There's still some reasonable places but they are disappearing. And the homeless..... omg it's the worst. 4 years of stupidity. Needles everywhere, and the councillor thinks they have a right to stay so they've told the police to do nothing. Tourists love visiting though. So enjoy.
I used to go there 20 years ago because there was a great place to buy cheese and they had the European meat market . Haven’t been in Toronto for years so not sure if those places are still there That area was always a dump though looks like it has gone down even farther. But no doubt those homes are stupid expensive
@@kevbrown1867 Yes my home is stupid expensive. I'm just outside of the market thank god. Rats are everywhere if you are too close. European meats is gone. A whole bunch of the more reasonable places are gone. Now it's either drug heads, homeless or the local left wing crew who most live off of mom and dad or the gov't and talk about how the gov't should buy up the buildings in the neighbourhood so they can live in subsidized housing for nothing. LOL. If you are a tourist it's an interesting place to go eat but a lot of the places got fancied up.
tamarind looks like bean pod with big seeds enveloped in a sweet/ .sour jam.. Yvonna , you need to go to Asian market more , and no you can't find it in Romania !
nooo stay away from Toronto, it's so bad now, especially downtown, i have friends that live in downtown. there are so many homeless, drug addicts, a person was ☠️you know ....close to their street😮 2:21
I don't know, most of my family,y members are pothead. I have grown accustomed to it that the smell doesn't bother me anymore. In fact as an ex-smoker of cigarettes 🚬 I grown to dislike the smell of cigarettes and the smell of nicotine on people's clothes.
We left Canada because of things like you describe. Markets where nobody can drink beer and walk around, yet weed stench is all over the place. The country is a disaster.
@@SuzanaPaklar completely. We were sick and tired of the nonsense at home. Crazy prices for everything, and a government interested in spending time on such small issues instead of tackling problems like affordability and food prices. Complete sham. Does not exist like that in many other places. People would not tolerate it.
