I love how this plugin is priced appropriately in India. For every other VST or AU out there, we have to spend the same money as the west while earning only a fraction locally. Huge respect!
That’s what this plugin highlighted to me. Knock out a fire production and mix, let this thing tighten it up and finish it and call it done and move on to the next song!
FWIW, I've been mastering my own music since 1977 long before all this stuff was even in existence. Just now I tried an experiment. I purchased the plugin because I liked what I heard and I believe in this guy. He has helped me a lot over the years. Anyway, I took my most recent song. I removed the whole mastering chain (and quite a long one) and replaced it with this plugin. Nothing else except Voxengo Span just to compare readings. I heard absolutely no difference between the two versions. I'm still in shock. You doubting Thomas's can believe what you like. This thing. IMO, is a game changer. I'll still do compares with a few more songs but if the results are the same, I'm ditching my mastering chain and using this. I'm too old to be wasting time on activities that give me no substantial ROI.
This LANDR plugins is super smart. Talk about forgetting a bunch of settings including dithering with mastering in other softwares. It’s tedious work. This software gives exceptional results.
I like how he's playing the songs in snippets, and we're supposed to ignore how them tracks and vocals be killin' it...pssshhhh.....nice, my dude, true talent
I see a lot of different influencers talk about this plugin these days this is why I don't trust it and will never believe what people say but i trust you a lot since I've been with you since the first day. Tell me honestly should i buy it or it is complete BS. If you say i should buy it I'll buy it if you say it's garbage I'll walk away. Thanks brother
I appreciate that. I will say, we get DOZENS of offers to do sponsored content every single month. We take maybe 1-3% of sponsor offers because I want to be really careful with my stamp (and I don't always wanna be selling to our audience tbh), but this plugin felt RIGHT. As soon as I tried it, I was more than confident partnering with them for this.
@@MakePopMusicvery nice cause I trust your view too. Please continue being picky on who to partner with. So far you made me buy plugins that I do not regret 🤍i hope you dont change. Dont be like the puppet lol , he is even gonna try to sell his chair that he sits on🤣
Landr has been around since 2014 before ozone got the mastering assistant which was based on neutron mix assistant which came out in 2016. They are just allowing users to buy a perpetual license instead of paying monthly or per song.
On behalf of the publishers we digitize tapes from the 70s and 80s and master them for new editions. AI / Landr / Ozon ... is completely unsuitable for this. AI mastering only works with commercial standard music. The AI is not trained to do anything else. With finished mixes from the 70s to 90s, all the tools fail. And that won't change, since training AI to play music like this isn't worth it. Or does anyone think that jazz and classical music is mastered with LANDR from major studios?
Pretty diff. This is more about making it easy for artists, songwriters and producers who want to spend their time on creating the music itself vs. tweaking knobs for the masters. Note that this also makes it easier to squash your master and mess it up. With LANDR II is crafted to your track (not presets, etc.) and when you tweak knobs it’s a subtle bit of +/- so you don’t destroy the master.
God Particle isn’t really supposed to be a mastering plug-in, it’s intended to be mixed into. That being said, it defaults to being really loud. Cradle probably wants you to hear how good their limiter sounds. It does sound great, but… your mix probably shouldn’t be slamming into a limiter like that. I don’t think God Particle really knows what it is… but it sounds great 🤷♂️
Lool I started skipping “ includes paid promotion” videos all together immediately. However I love Austin’s content so I ll check it out. But No way i m paying for an AI mastering plugin tho. Mastering is a serious work. Ozone ‘s AI fucks up my mix each-time and how much money i paid for it? To all upgrades? Over the years?I still gotto pay for mastering engineer. Waste of money. You got to know guys you need real mastering engineers. You eventually will pay for it.
talking between the comparisons is distracting. besides that, in my opinion there is so much to optimize in this mix and much more creative potential, that i'd have done in a manual master than this plugin has offered. Still good to know i don't need the plug :)
Mastering is a process, not a plugin. So just know that using this plugin will not teach you about mastering, nor will it address the totality of quality control, sweetening, and enhancement functions that a mastering engineer would address. Proceed with caution. That being said, A/B'ing is an essential navigation tool during mastering. So I find it strange that the 'gain match' function actually uses the lower of the two signals, i.e. it gains down, instead of using the master output as the reference (to gain up the reference). Seems like a big workflow killer/design flaw and an easy way to fool your ears. You just can't make accurate decisions with such large/quick changes in volume.
I highly disagree about the gain matching. If it brought the premaster level up to match the master, it would be clipping so bad because it doesn't have any dynamics or limiting happening. I've never seen a plugin ever bring the unprocessed volume up to match, it's always taking down the processed volume to match the pre-plugin level.
I use these type of plugins and recommendation. I run it, see what it does, and than go back to the mix and fix things, so the mastering plugin doesn’t have to do anything. And then do my own mastering.
I definitely love the idea of hearing what it does to a mix (for example taking out mids or pushing presence) and tweaking that in my mix then reanalyzing. I will say, I'm letting this thing rip on my final master right now and I'm legitimately loving it.
Yeah, using this as a mix feedback analysis tool would be a great idea. I'd take the initial settings and hit it with Q-clone or Plugindoctor to see what going on under the hood.
I know and I think EVERYONE else knows you will never use this for your mastering chain nor do you honestly believe people should use. Tired of seeing so many producers promote this when you can easily tell they don't believe in the product, but get that bread
AT least you put you rmoney where your mouth is and had some actual songs to use on the plugin so you get credit for that. Most ytbers wouldnt do this in case they got found out..😉
lol ummm did anyone else not here a single difference from anything he did all video long? By halfway I had thought I was losing my mind. Even put on my studio headphones plugged directly into computer... Still not even a 5% change I noticed between warm, balanced, and open... lol maybe its just me but wow. Is this plug-in useless. I like the tacky *beep beep bop beep beep ... analyzing ... analyzing...* what a joke. It acts like it is personalizing when in reality its essentially just taking a massive generic EQ and kapowing it on there... No thanks.
This is all artificial synthetic music, with voices that are artificially enhanced - mastered with a dash of ketchup. Wondering how the plugin sounds with handmade, slightly more complex music.
@@fnord_lander Sorry, but the music is just as ordinary as the mastering is ordinary. Nothing particularly creative. By the way, I earn my annual salary in my recording studio.
@@thomashambrecht6435 which is understandable why you’re being so salty. Technology is getting better and you don’t need the huge studios to make great music anymore Don’t get me wrong I love having tons of analog toys to play around with as much as the next guy But ultimately I’m not gonna shame anything that helps you get what’s in your head out and into the world, faster, better and smarter
