Diluc: “drink responsibly” Kaeya: “remember when dad died” Edit: guys pls stop liking this and reminding me of my dark past pls genshin impact killed my whole family pls guys
If you talk to him after Stanley's brrakdown he does mentioning it Makes sense since they were the only people in the tavern, it would have been weird if he hadn't heard nor seen everything
Story Quests- Venti: About old friends who died and made them the person they're today. Zhongli: Unwillingly sealing up an old friend because they harmed humans. . Ei: Shopping date -_-
I can't get over that. The only Archon-like event that happened during that story quest was the duel, and yet I felt more invested towards that dude than Ei herself.
24:43, wow, just understand what Venti means now, by using the looks of his passed good friend, as a god he is, people will make a statue based on his image. that's the way Venti tell the boy's tale, let people of Mondstadt know the face of the boy who free the ancient nation.
@@fagitocumaeda i picked the first hilichurl line, then I picked it again and make it mad and then I picked “venti sing song, you give sheild ok?” and it gave it to me lolol
Not gonna lie, Venti's quest is my favorite so far. It has its silly moments that fit with Genshin's usual tone, but then sucker punches you with some serious emotional moments.
I feel like the hand of the statue holding him is his favorite place because he feels like the real Venti is still holding him like when he was still a little fairy
That’s why bards are so important. They tell the tales of long forgotten heroes and keep the memory of them alive. One of the worst fates is to be forgotten so I’m glad Venti is there
But he still doesn’t have a limited edition talkable floating travel guide called Paimon that can appear and disappear whenever she wants. 😏 Jealous much? 🗿
The fact that venti was talking about stanley's grief while we were trying to get the sword and shield... you KNOW venti's not just talking to stanley. That's the wisdom he figured out after two thousand years of grief and travelling through the lands trying to achieve his friend's goal of seeing the winds blow freely and explore the world.
What makes me feel sad is that you cannot replay that part where you can talk to the hilichurl. I first talked to it in its language, then gave it a sweet flower, and then have venti playing some music for him. And then he gave me the Shield in friendship.
I know, it is impossible for a human to live up to 2,600 years, but there's a good chance that Venti's friend can reincarnate. (Hopefully) I did write a fanfic about that but hardly anyone finds it lol
"This is why venti is the true best boy NOT Diluc NOT Kaeya NOT even the traveler." Me : * flashback to where he says liyue is better cuz it got zhongli *
Venti's story is honestly the best so far. Given how he is portrayed as a carefree drunk and how the quest started off as so light hearted...that Stanley part and Venti's origin really surprised me. Hopefully Zhongli''s story quest is just as emotional as Venti's.
Agreed!! Venti’s story definitely the best so far. 2nd i’d go for Childe’s. I wasn’t expecting it tho- but its kinda warm and funny. 3rd is Mona’s! I hope there’s a continuation for hers.
agreed this story was so great not only because of itself, but also stands for the spirit of Mondstadt :freedom, peaceful, but never lack of adventure and exploration
The saddest part of this story, is that the melody of the song that Venti mentioned, is the melody that plays in the background when you are in Mondstat at night... OK I admit, I cried
when i played it thru it was daytime so while venti was giving this tragic and moving rhyme the obnoxious music of daytime mondstat was playing... this was much more peaceful lol
5:21 People: *Just trying to complete a Venti story quest* Devs: "Hmmmm... We need to do something... something... Oh, why not casually toss up a hint to Diluc and Kaeya's past? That'll be great!"
well... venti is the Archon of mondstadt. that means he knows everything about everyone in mondstadt. guess that is why that story quest didnt be only about him
4:01 I love the late reaction and the cut scream XD cause I was literally spilled my fries when doing this quest for the first time XD Yeah, this story really mix of humor and sad lore, Diluc being very blunt tho...
Venti is actually at least the third oldest though, with Ganyu being around 700 years older than venti. There's also some adepti from Liyue who's probably older than venti.
@@F1ve-seveN That does raise the question, how the fuck did Venti become one of the Seven when he was born after the Archon war. Cause Zhongli is more than 4 thousand years old, and here Venti said he was a small wisp 2600 years ago, while the war was 3 thousand years ago. Either I remember the numbers wrong or something doesn't check out
@@JustAlex2000 I believe the archon war happened after the tyrant of the old mondstadt fell. I think the archon war happened about 2000 years ago. So venti was already 600 years old back then. Liyue founded 3700 years ago, the current mondstadt founded 2500 years ago, which are all founded before the great archon war. In fact, the seven nation now were the biggest 7 forces when the great archon war happened. That's why they won the archon war.
@@F1ve-seveN Ah, I might have misremembered it then. For some reason I remembered that the sevent nations were founded after the seven strongest gods emerged after the war, which in turn founded the council of Seven Archons, one of each element. But now that I think about it, you are most likely correct, because Liyue was already founded back when a lot of other gods and Adepti existed, who made various contracts with the city which was led by Rex Lapis. Alo from Zhongli's quest we know that beings like the Godess of Salt was still alive back when Liyue was a thing. But still, to think that Venti was strong enough to secure a position as the Anemo archon as 600 years old, opposes to Zhongli who was at the time over 2000 years old is still a hella impressive feat.
I think this comment is true,i mean. From the further story that we got,Rex lapis is like 3700/3600 years old, while venti is like 1000 years younger than rex lapis (around 2600),meanwhile ganyu has been rex lapis servant since 600/700 years longer, and from that,we can actually predicted ganyu's age is around 1000 years,i think.IDK.
this makes me wonder does “imaginary friend” has some other wording in the original? paimon’s amount of effort to connect the dots from imaginary to imagination sounds way too slow paced even to paimon’s standards
I recently played this quest and I have to say your genuine first-time reactions just hit home in all these quests. Thanks for being so relatable for all of it. :D
This quest line hit me right in the feels. You think at first that "Stanley" is full of himself, but then you come to realize that he's haunted by the past and he spends his nights in the tavern drinking/crying himself to sleep. Also, on the topic of feels, go to the back of the church. There's a graveyard there with a man singing in front of his daughter's grave. When you talk to him, he says that he regrets not spending more time with his little girl before she died of an illness.
And of course, there’s the classic Timmy and his bygone dad and Childish Zhang and his deceased parents and mental instability. This game really likes to sprinkle some depression here and there
@@polypalettes You know what's the most Depressing thing Genshin impact has ever done?? Its obviously the lottery event. Do you know how its feels for some people to 8k primogems while other got 108. And there's also that lucky guy who 108k primogems. I seriously wanted to quit knowing how unfair the game was. T-T
And then there's the old man in springvale who fell in love with a pond fairy and kept waiting to meet her again even nearing the end of his life... Mihoyo please let us help these people omg
the original venti is the venti you were seeing him itself but if you wanna see the WISP venti is at the 25:46 righ side of the boy you can see the little like abyssal like wisp Venti
you can't, Venti inherit Aqua's treatment. Just like when Vanir tried to spy on her and got a blinding light that hurt his eyes, Moona once tried to read Venti's constellation and her clothes got thorns out by the wind instead _wwwwW_
This quest made wanna give Venti a big hug after finishing it. I did a random World Quest around the area right after that and I kept checking on the Anemo statue to see if Venti was still there. And he was… all throughout the quest, as if he’s watching over me while reminiscing his old friend. Oh gosh now I feel like crying, love ya Venti :,)
I find it kind of ironic that that lady in Liyue called Mondstadt godless when Morax just wanted to quit cuz he was tired, & Barbatos still walks among his people to help them when they need him.
just remind you, Barbatos only shown walking around mondstad as venti just plenty of time, not always. this time he show up because Dvalin case. He ussualy sleep, and wake up only when mondstadt need him.
This was a really interesting quest. It starts off with something kind of silly and then it gets very serious and emotional and really makes you feel for venti
This really is why Venti is one of my favorite characters; a god that has lived thousands of years has stories to tell, and who better to listen than a friend he knows well? A bard who merely plays for joy and some wine, Sings of tales as old as 6,700 years time. Mayhaps in comedy, mayhaps in misery, He downs alcohol, to forget quite a tragedy. But then you get to the 'why' he would still care; He may be an Archon, but deeper truths he lays bare. Through quests and dialogue you play you see Venti be one with the Mondstadt. Assuming a certain persona: outgoing yet helpful just with a dash of lack of tact. Venti is an Archon, as such he's basically obligated to look after his nation in whatever way he wants. But this story just adds so, much, more to it that it's goddamn depressing and skyrockets Venti's character. He now has a *personal* connection to Mondstadt, and a deeper reason for wanting the nation to stay this way; to honor his friend. Venti probably didn't think twice before assuming his friends guise, and since the Statue of the Seven show Venti's friend's image, choosing such an appearance is a big deal to see your god as; heck his skills and outfit all have a feather-design to them, like the one he failed to give his friend (Charac story). The Anemo Archon wants to honor his fallen friend in whatever way he can, maybe even internally blaming himself for his friend's demise. Maybe he downs alcohol for this reason as well? Venti's aspirations for Mondstadt being a free city matches up with what his friend wanted the nation to be; freedom. Venti takes his experience as a lesson to heart, and he views every citizen of Mondstadt as the individuals they are, the individuals like his friend once was; heck you literally start out this quest looking over Mondstadt individuals. He's a tragic character ensuring his friend's wish stays true, and ensuring Mondstadt's freedom reigns forever too. And now that he's basically the second oldest Archon now, with the rest gone or older than him...dang, it hurts. I goddamn love this Anemo Gremlin. Or maybe it's just my bias with thousands of old year characters and their perspectives on the world, idk.
Also gotta remember everyone believes he is the only archon left of the original seven since Morax faked his death. I really hope they make a story quest with Venti and Morax meeting again.
If you talk to Diluc after the conversation, he says: "Stanley...So many years after the fact, it's not even his friend himself that holds him back anymore. But I for one am confident that the people of Mondstadt will not forget his friend's story."
