@@tough3600 at 19 ware is likely the best talent and best fit and most likely to contribute sooner than later. some of those picks beyond 20 are gonna be 2-4 years before they can play as a bench player in nba.

@@tough3600 its gonna be a 3-4 year rebuild if its fast. masai said rebuilds can take 6 years. so have patience cuz although they will try to compete, that doesnt equate to winning alot of games in a rebuild.

at 19th pick everyone is a project man and likely just a bench player if they develop. so the 19th pick doesnt matter if we keep the 6th pick or not. everyone else left on the board is a project or older player that has much lower ceiling.

at 31 raptors will take Ryan Dunn if he is there, he was rated as high as 17 earlier and would be a steal as the best defensive wing in college.

while ryan dunn can give you defence in the nba off the bench immediately. ulrich chomche isnt contributing to your team for at least 2 years. he one of those guys 2 years away, which may turn into 2 years away from being 2 years away.

Og never had a three when he came in the league. Maybe some development similar to can happen there

nah da silva is soft when he plays big physical teams. he older so his ceiling is what is it is at. taking da silva at 19 is a waste. Kel El Ware is like a 19 year old Myles Turner. Myles Turner doesnt have the fastest motor but he is still valuable and contributes well.

TDS could potentially provide an immediate impact like Jaime Jaquez of Miami did. He is very skilled and would fit in nicely on offense given what Darko is trying to install scheme wise. Terrence Shannon Jr is another more seasoned player that could most likely come in and contribute from day 1.

Kel El Ware is Myles Turner. Myles Turner doesnt have a high motor either, and is slower this year even than in previous years. so if you want a 19 year old myles turner, its kel el ware.

I don’t know that I entirely like the comparison but I see where you’re coming from. I just think Ware’s motor is even lower. Like, he’s gone from borderline lottery to some saying he might be second round material in a bad draft solely because of his motor.

@@deanmonteith kel el ware is the only center in the 1st round that can shoot the 3 and mid range. while playing defence. no other center in the 1st round in 2024 can even shoot the 3 and they dont even have a mid range shot yet. kel el ware is switchable also. if ya gonna complain about motor, how would you compare it to jakob poeltls motor lol. did you see myles turner play this year, he is slower this year than last few years. centers who shoot the 3 stretch the floor creating more space for players, is the reality.

@@giovanni-ed7zqI don’t disagree when I made this comment. Ware can be very useful for Toronto. I just like Smith based on personal preference, but feel that there are similar things you could gain from either. Smith is about an inch shorter, but there’s no motor questions. He can also play both PF and C, so there’s some versatility with Smith as well. Just an alternative to the pick.

Why wouldn’t he smile ? Name a President of any real sports team in Canada that won anything other than him ? That’s what I thought.

It’s a nice idea, but ask yourself why he isn’t showing up in the lottery in anybody’s predictions despite winning so many personal accolades in school…

@@dinloud.3887 I’ve listened and read a lot about his chance of making it in the NBA, but we don’t need him for at least most of the season, send him to the G- league, and hone his skills ( footwoirk) and passing. I’d definitely take a chance in him. With Sheppard and Messi and Dick and RJ, Poetl, etc, coming into their own, we can match most of the East. I say draft Edey if we can.

But we pick 19.. and I think we will take a flyer on a Canadian.. A bigger Poertl is still useful against some matchups in the post season.

topic not there at 6. also topic isnt a good defender and cant shoot the 3 so its better to take one of the wings in holland, buzelis or castle. topic only makes the raptors worse defensively and the raptors are bad defensively as is even with scottie barnes in the line up. no one other than poeltl and agbaji plays defence well on the raptors, everyone else on the raptors are not even average nba defenders.

Pelicans need cap relief so Jones and 1 other Pels contract to create space for them is their goal. For Poeltl it would mean taking on another contract worth about 10-12 million + Jones.

just need to add 1 unprotected raptors pick and two other top 5 protect first round picks and pelicans will trade you herb jones.

Definitely got fleeced! Watching Pascal go off for nearly 40 and leading Indiana hurts. The 3 picks are not great in a weak draft and Pacers threw laughing by throwing Nwora in there instead of any one of Sheppard, Nembhard, Naismith, or Walker. At least they didn't lose the Knicks trade!!

@@giovanni-ed7zq I personally don’t think a third big is a priority with that pick. I’d go with either the best available back up point guard or wing. Masai in press conference even said him self those are two areas the team would like to address. I see them drafting the best available big available with the 31st overall pick. I can see masai drafting with the 31st pick a guy like Ulrich Chomche for his rim protection and his potential as a passer outta the post. (Possible a younger, cheaper Jak who can learn under Jak his first season in the league and he’s from Cameroon) I love da Silva’s game. Yes he’s not explosive I get it but the guy can shoot and if a hound on defence and at 6”9 he helps addresses a HUGE holes on this team with his size and shooting. Hes also a very good passer as well and I feel would complement BBQ sooooo much! On a side note if we can keep this years top pick that’s fine but honestly if it ends up going to the Spurs I’m not overly upset about it because next years draft is said to be wayyyy deeper and better and honestly I would rather just get this pick stuff done and over with instead of it dragging thru next season too.

@@leitchman86able at 19 its all projects and longer range development. kel el ware is probably the highest ceiling in a stretch big that can shoot the 3, mid range, switch, defend and protect the rim.

@@1BlackParade nah darko fumbled when he won against 2 teams in the final 5 games that didnt matter locking the raptors into 6th spot. darko won 2 games and lost the important game to pacers so the pacers pick turned into the 19th pick in the tie breaker. darko fumbles again.

@@1BlackParade If we get the 6th PICK (or above) in the draft, it is ours to keep. Though, the odds of getting that is 45% for us overall. The odds were around 32% when we had the 7th worst RECORD. In other words, going from the 7th worst to the 6th increased our chances of receiving the 6th pick in this year's draft by 13%. The capital letters are to delineate the importance in distinguishing picks and records. Hope this helps.

@@chadwellington2524 darko overplayed the starters in wizards and bucks game to win. why didnt he do that against pacers? cuz darko is the serbian curse that keeps on giving bad results.

@@chadwellington2524 as i recall darko threw that pacers game by playing the scrubs and pulling the starters to lose to pacers, where darko overplayed the starters 35-40 minutes to get wins against bucks and wizards. because darko threw the pacers came, raptors ended up with 19th pick instead of 15 or 16. so call it sabotage or fumble but darko did it again.
