The truth is that this is really not as difficult as many people presume it to be. Well, there are a few out there who know what they are doing. I tried a few in the past years, but I’ve been with Melissa Terri Swayne for the last five years or so, and her returns have been pretty much amazing.

I think it's important to stick to stocks that are immune to economic policies. I'm looking at NVIDIA and other AI stocks that have the potential to power and transform future technologies. It seems AI is the trajectory most companies are taking, including even established FAANG companies.

My advantage lies in replicating the portfolio of CFA (well, friend who is an advisor) I’ve found that professionals excel more at pattern recognition. Yeah, the dumbest thing I did was pull money out prior to the 2016 election. I assumed people would assume a democratic win would be bad for growth and a Trump win would breed uncertainty. Afterwards, i kept waiting for a "good time" to get back in, and the market didn't really correct for 2 years until the "taper tantrum" in 2018. Never try to time the market..

Rick Reider the bond king of Goldman said the uninversion is being caused by short rates coming down on FED cuts(vs. long bonds popping on recession concerns). So his view is that uninversion is nothing to worry about at all this time around. We see I guess but he is no slouch.

I agree with the sentiment in the comments. I'm just starting with trading and investing, but have gotten what I believe is a good feel for the markets thanks to Tom's dailies. So, his updates are very good and thus quite valuable to me. It is one of the best dailies out there. But show an example of what Tom's information has done for me. Tom noted something about a week ago that a market rotation will more than likely be happening towards smaller and mid-cap stocks, so I sold my semiconductor based ETF and bought a Russell 2000 based ETF, and it has paid off. Semis went down and Russell is killing it. And, from the prognosis about a rate cut and improved earnings on small and midcaps over the next year (void some strange crashing), I feel I'm set good for a good bit of time now with that decision. Oh. Because of Tom saying Crypto will more than likely take off, I also put in a smaller amount into a Crypto ETF. Bingo. Very nice and thanks Tom.

The rising interest rate can surely control inflation, but won't prevent erosion of the eroding purchasing power of the US dollar. I have learnt my lesson this time. The banks can't be making money off my money, while inflation eats into it. I have set aside 650k to invest in the stock market now, since that keeps up with inflation, but I don't know how to get started.
