As a Roblox dev I just wanted to say that it is a little annoying to not get payed the full amount, but (from what I’ve read) it is near the same as platforms like steam. It’s not as bad as people make it out to be, but it definitely would be nice to have a fairer split. It’s literally only 70/30 (favoring the developer) and (unlike steam) it’s free to publish a game.

Yes. It’s much easier to broadcast your game to a large audience, and you don’t have to pay for servers and such. It’s also free to make a game. Roblox only takes 30% of profits, 70 percent goes to you. It’s very in favor of the dev

Be great full Roblox has their own currency you can profit off of. It already taxes you so you don't have to deal with a bunch of paper work. I am especially in favor of how Roblox deals with monetization.

despite the bad monetary split roblox is a great platform because it handles a lot of hard and complex things for you like datastores, servers etc, it is also very easy to get a lot of players quickly

Not completely made in Roblox, some assets made outside of Roblox, imported into Roblox. Roblox does not have features to create custom textures such as the leaves and ferns. And creating 3D models isn't impossible in Roblox, but it'd be very difficult so that it's better to make it using another software.

I stopped developing ever since the creator funds went under, and my plays were still 3.5k daily w the combined games still running (2). Roblox is one big rock in your shoe if you develop. Hard to bring people a good game when Roblox hardly allows it or charges YOU. Insane.

The cut: 30 percent to roblox when buying gamepasses, and even after that, you need 30k robux to exchange it in just q00 dollars, but it's worth 300 dollars, so developers on unity and other will still be on their engines and won't move to roblox studio, plus the servers can't handle a lot of lightning features that other engines have. So it's extremly unlikely
