The rg280v is such a great device and has a better build than the miyoo. It's too bad the software, let alone Adam, doesn't compare to onion OS and garlic OS that are both significantly much more polished. The rg280v deserves a succesor with garlic OS.
@TechDweeb the sad reality is ambernic would do so much better if they stayed focus on a family of a few flagship devices rather than churn out handheld after new handheld. This market is getting to the point where new handhelds are being produced at a rapid pace saturating the market similar to how tiger electronics would shat out turd after turd of wasted plastic out of a machine gun firing ass. (Ref from the avgn lol) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_u5dtBtG9yU.html ☝️ (9:15) OK bad comparison but pun intended, pretty funny.
This is one of the best-looking handhelds I've seen. I owned an older Anbernic, the one that looks like a PSP and was quite happy with it, but begrudgingly sent it back because the AV out thing didn't work. I could have got a replacement, but the Amazon comments suggest the quality is so variable that I decided to save my money for a more expensive one that has a better seal of quality.
"Dink Smallwood, I used to love that game. It really resonated with me for some reason....Dink Smallwood." Got a genuine chuckle out of me for that subtle humor.
This looks cool, but the V90 looks like a better value, especially for the price. I got mine in black for a less cheap look. Your CFW video was especially helpful in getting a speed boost on the V90 too
I just ordered one. Should be here any day. I remember Dink Smallwood...I gotta get that again. Nice!!! I'm think of running Adam Image on it. it can't arrive soon enough
I enjoyed this.. to be honest a normie wouldn't probably buy this anyway.. 95% of the people would be techies.. I remember doing homebrew on the wi.. can't be any harder than that haha
Lucky kid! Might I suggest you curate a 'best of' list for him to enjoy? I did that when I gifted the PowKiddy v90 to them, initially they found finding good games in the thousands of games daunting, but when I curated the list to like 100 hand picked games that I thought they would like their enjoyment of the device went up a lot.
@@TechDweeb actually just looked into a solution, if anyone ever says their battery isnt charging or stays at a certain percentage they need to take the back off with the screws and move the wire around that is connected to the actual battery. Fixed mine and no issues. I've noticed many people have this problem in the long run with this device
Yes, but they're in the stupid naming convention that I complained about, which basically makes it impossible to find the roms you want. I'd suggest at least renaming the roms you want to play so you can find them easily, but the best bet would be to just find a replacement rom set with proper names IMO.
