Fun fact. I remember going on one of these (Tagada) when I was a teen (I'm an old man now) and there was zero padding anywhere on the ride. I tore all the ligaments in my ankle riding it, and at the time I was playing for Peterborough Uniteds youth academy. Needless to say they was not happy with me and I'm now a gas man 😂.
Graviton: that’s the ride with no restraints. Ever wondered why there’s a redundant smoked brown hemisphere at Blackpool Pleasure Beach? That used to be an indoor Gravitron called Astro Swirl. There was an arcade around the ride and I used to play pinball in there accompanied by the smell of warm sick. BPB was free to enter in those days and drunks would go on the Astro Swirl for a laugh and then lose their lunches all over themselves and their friends.
Aww. Remind me to never go to a theme park there then, Tagadas are the main draw to these places for me. (They're best stuffed full with a few friends to cling onto instead of the railings behind you. As long as you don't mind getting close with a few strangers.)
4:37 it's official name is Round Up (or Meteor/Meteorite). Gravitron is indoor, looks a bit like a spaceship and doesn't raise up. More flat ride content is always appreciated!
As an Australian it astounds me that rides like that are still allowed in the UK, both Aus and USA have completely banned the Tagada due to the amount of serious injuries. Guess I better make my way to the UK sooner rather than later cause they surely wont be allowed forever
@@thedodgemkingfunfairandcla2527 inspection requirements are determined by the rides manufacturer and would be largely the same in the UK, US and Aus. The danger of the Tagada is nothing to do with how well inspected it is, its the fact that people aren't strapped in and get tossed around which is bound to cause injuries eventually
As a fair enthusiast who dabbles into parks too, I can assure you that airmaxx is by far the most intense ride I’ve ever done 😂 by far the most intenese in the UK for fair rides, looks like you got lucky anyway The old spin jam actually went to funderworld in 2021 aswell
Looks like you had a lot of fun Dan. Shame about your ride on Air Maxx being ruined by the wind. It is honestly the most intense ride I have ever been on!
Hi there dan 👋 i live in weston just half an hours drive from Bristol and i suggest that you go to the grand pier in weston which has the robo arm coaster and go karts, its all indoors too!
Funny you are mistaking a Booster for a Mondial Capriolo. Cause the ride operates very differently. A Booster doesn't need to swing to gain it's momentum. A Capriolo needs to swing to gain momentum and need the swing to get to the max height of 48 meters. The Fabbri Boosters are 38 meters or 53,5 meters depending on the 8 seater version or the Booster MaxXx then you have the KMG speed boosters which are 36 meters and then Fabbri also has a Booster which is 30 meters and 8 seats. Then there is also the HUSS Booster, which is a break dance which can flip the gondolas sideways up-side-down.
Looks like you were out of your comfort zone fella, you want to see some of the lads doing tricks on the meteorite (not a graviton) standing on their heads literally and lying across cages whilst spinning . By the way what's a flat ride is that themepark lingo? These are all machines
Yeah like I said at the start I’m not into funfairs much and don’t know too much about them - would love to be more educated on them though. Flat rides are just theme park equivalents of the “machines” so I’ve just always called them that 😂
The ride with no restraints, I have always known as a hearts and diamonds, it spins you so fast that centrifugal force sticks you to the wall, I went in one years ago and someone managed to put themselves upside down.on it by doing a handstand.
Yea the tagada or however it's spelt one of them to be at the end of trauma towers at bpb was such a fun ride to run, especially when we put it in manual mode
T one where u are pinned by gravity only when I was at college 2 students went on one unfortunately one of t students wasn't against t wall but t control guy started it up and she crushed her boyfriend ending up with him in hospital with 2 punctured lung not good
Alton Towers used to have a ride called Gravaton or Gravatron i think. used to be in what is now the X-sector. I dont think it went at an angle. But if i remember rightly the back rest slid up so you werent touching the ground with your feet.
If you thought that was good enough there's a Vintage Fairground at Folly Farm in Wales it's a 10 minute drive from Oakwood and in this Fairground they have a Waltzer a Ghost train and a 100 Carousel too!
I used to go funfair alot then i got merlin passes and started going Chessington and Thorpe park instead so anyway i now got bored of going to Chessington and Thorpe park so i went to a funfair recently forgot the waltzes restraints don't lock and i was screaming at the staff spinning the rides "help please help it aint locking help" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Gravitron rides are probably my least favourite kind of rides, for some reason it is more nauseating then any other spinning flat ride, even other spinning flat rides.
The thing that gets me isn’t the ride itself, it’s that the ride is disassembled and hauled across the motorway every other week. Edit: I have been on my first tagada. I would recommend holding on. I definitely didn’t go flying off the seat, whacking my face off the metal.
@@eventpromotionservices4109 yeah, I know it’s very unlikely, but it gets me every time how fast these thing can just be taken apart, it’s safe, but it makes me feel very strange when riding
