This is based off a Garry’s mod horror gamemode called LIDAR. It works the same as this but requires Navmesh. You should try it in the real GMOD variant of LIDAR gamemode. A RU-vidr named The Librarian made a good video on it.
Yeah, but now that they made it "more herryfying" makes it now boring and less scary to be honest, cause it doesn't give us the intensity of the thing that could be left out without us knowing
not really even much of a fun fact as the crash error message says blatantly "press F9 for details" and then goes on to display "Player ___ has tried to index with Entity01" or something along those lines

OH BRUH I CHECKED THE GAME its like scanner and inspired by a gmod mod ( scanner was an old special (cant tell if it an horror game or an artistic game )game )
I think I know how it works. Based on my theory the dots (how ever u want to call these objects that stick to wall, floors, ect.) are clones of a mesh and when the game starts to slowly loose it's stability on the server of then, on the perfect timing the entity will appear with its face and bellow it will spam A LOT OF RED DOTS practicly crashing the game and server not the others just yours that your on. If u didn't understand any of the text above this is quick answer. Making dots = game slower (not fps or other cpu gpu thing) Exploring = making dots Entity appearing = exploring Crash / end = entity appearing If u didn't understand even that text above this is a quicker answer. U just make game crash by making dots
i used a script to make everything visible by playing with collision(i could see all the walls and stuff but if i try to scan dots still appear), i found out that there are like 10-20 of those things(they are actually just red blocks) walking around the whole map and if they see you they will follow you, if you scan them you will get 1 more chance and you will have a 15-20 seconds of invincibility after that if you scan one of them one more time the "crash" will appear. There are actually a lot of rooms, i walked there for 20 minutes but there were much more left, the coolest thing i have found was a big room with trees and a church in the center, where there were someone's body(looks like a brick but when you scan it looks like a human's body). And also i found a staircase to the second floor but it was locked i couldn't find any other entrance nearby, also i found that there are some black bricks that scan with rainbow dots(the platform of players spawn scaned the same) i dont know for what they are made like that and there are special items(i called them like that) like a christ or knifes on the tables that scans with yellow(the wooden planks that blocked the staircase of second floor scanned the same way), but yeah thats basically all information i found while i was playing the game.
I understood that perfectly. (As someone who is fascinated with game dev) also having a mesh on everything WOULD work, but I think it’s a ray cast, which would make the whole process simpler.
Scan test is a recreation of a GMod workshop mod called "LiDAR". LiDAR is disguised as a regular cool looking mod, however as you play it start to gets creepier and creepier with glitches and figures appearing. It's based on the game Scanner Sombre. A game based on a game based on a game.
This game is based on the LIDAR horror gamemode mod for Garry's Mod, or more commonly known as Gmod. Yet this one has a few changes, as the hint that somebody is following you is much harder to find sometimes. There's also a blue figure which is not in the original mod, which I discovered myself. I do not know what the blue figure is, but as it spawned pretty much when I joined the game, I assume its a player marker as it is a multiplayer game.
to anyone that said this is a cool idea for a game: this is inspired directly by the Garry's Mod LiDAR gamemode, everything is the same except the shape of the dots yeah map's different but the GMOD version is for all maps so that doesnt really count

Ok, The Tiktok wasn't wrong, I did see the red demon thingy. But at at first I heard footsteps, I checked the player list and there was other players. I didn't think of it much. I thought is was the other players. But then, when I scanned 5 minutes later, A red figure was there when I scanned and it kicked me out of the game and crashed my pc.
Day 48 of asking: Could you please play block defense alpha, it is a zombie survival building game. So basically you build you own base then have to survive the zombies. Also watch it’s trailer it is epic!
i think you should try the actual garry's mod version really succeeds (especially with the eerie feeling the source engine gives off) at scaring the s█t out of me also the game audio makes the horror feel kinda cheap
Actually that game is not a maze it's also a forest! kreekcraft also played this game and I think flamingo will play this sooner, this game is for PC I think it won't allow me to play this game. EDIT: THIS GAME HAS A MAZE, HOUSES, GRAVES, AND A HUGE FOREST!!
This game is actually really creepy because its a scan game to scan a farm but there are dogs everywhere and a creepy entity that makes a loud sound (skip it if it is really creepy)
i played this game, and the fake window popup appeared after I got the top half of the red entity, so I pressed leave and the popup just disappeared and I'm like "oh its fake" and there was a lot of noise so I realised I could scan again and I saw the entity and I immediately noped out of there that stuff actually really scared me lmao
I think i found it out i mixed some of the best theories in one and when u reach a specific amount of thingies the game starts to lag so it spawns the shadow or whatever u wanna call it so u get more curious and get more dots and keep the game lagging then when the game cant keep more it spawns the entity then u cant see it bc of how laggy it is but the entire game gets full of orbs that its all white of trillions of dots but u cant see it bc the game is too slow and those trillions of dots crash u
fun fact: the original for this is a gmod addon called "lidar" if you have gmod, you should try (if you alreaddy did it before this video, your a chad)
this is based off of an incredible gmod thing called IFR reader, it has a red creature it spawns in that kicks you off the first time you find it, next time you see it its just a shadow
