this gives me flashbacks to when my friend told me she had a robot butler lol i was expecting a real life robot to assist us, but it was this little cleaning robot that held a little dust pan and broom that would vacuum up crumbs

We're living in the age that my parents knew this technology only to be sci-fi. And it's super cool, but it also feels... expected? As someone who has grown up with the internet, ipod touches and a fair amount of automated devices everywhere it doesn't feel *as* surprising to have this kind of technology arriving now. It's still a little bit "woah, is this really happening?" with a mix of "finally, this is happening!" But holy heck is it cool and I want one!

This thing is actually really freaking cool! It's more than just robotics, it's animated with all sorts of personality and actually seems to respond to you! I'm sure with time it'll feel more repetitive, but with the community support behind it, it also seems like there's always gonna be new stuff to do with it! Of course, it's a bit too expensive for most people, I imagine, but still it might be a really fun investment for a family.
